The competition to become a champion is still wide open, especially for the teams that are currently in the top 4. The gap between them wasn't that great, 3 points from 1st and 2nd, 2 points from 2nd to 3rd, and 5 points from 3rd to 4th. It was a difference that could change in just one match. My focus here remains on those who will chase the 1st rank held by Paris Saint Germain. They have done well by continuing to cut the gap in points from the leaders of the standings. I'm just quite worried that this will happen briefly, I mean in the future the difference in points between them will widen again due to their own mistakes.

Lorient is ranked 7th and Rennes is ranked 5th. Rennes' defense is better and also their attack line is more productive compared to Lorient. The odds of winning are in Rennes' favor, but if Lorient can put their best foot forward in this game they also have a chance to end the game on a high. Rennes need a win to stay in Sekar's position and even then they could be a top 4 club for a while at least before Monaco do their thing. On the other hand, Lorient needs a win to get even closer to the top 4 in the standings. I will bet on a Rennes win in this game.

Betting for both of them to score goals against each other is a wise choice, considering that this match is unlikely to end with a thin score or a draw. Yes, Rennes when playing at away not too good, they have a different bad record when they play at home, which can also beat PSG at there. From season to season, PSG always targets the Champions League trophy. it's just that, until now they have not been able to make it happen. Changing the coaching era under Galtier, PSG fans have high hopes that their proud team can win the UCL trophy this season. on the other hand, it does not mean that PSG will not target the Ligue 1 trophy for the third time in a row. because after all, PSG will always prioritize winning the domestic league title. plus, the Champions League.

IMO, I have to say that Lens will experience a drop in performance especially against quite tough teams.

I also think that this year encounter will be different than the previous one lorient improvement in this season is really noticeable, lorient team is really doing badly at home recently, the same goes for rennes in away games, i too think btts is a good bet they both have a good attack.

Lorient - Rennes is the only game in the league today.

Rennes are quite favourite for the win here. They beat Lorient away in their last two head-to-head games by comfortable scores. But in both cases Lorient were having a really bad season in the league. Things are more different now as we see Lorient only a few points behind them. Rennes had better not underestimate their opponent. Lorient were nearly beating Monaco home this season and this could be the same for Monaco as well depending on the performances. I'll bet on both teams to score.

No doubt about Marseille performance in last few weeks and as they are playing most chances they could be ended on second spot with Lens which is also having amazing performance specially after beating PSG their confidence level is also high, and they are doing good job, but things can change in coming days as they are already losing four points.

And now their gape with Marseille is already just two points if they want to keep this place then surely they have to do better than from current form now in coming round Lens is going to visit Troyes which is 14th rank and have no good form most chances lost this match and give full three points to Lens and Marseille having challenge against Monaco which is also tough side and will give good challenging performance against Marseille needs to stop them for having better result for themselves as well.

in the last 5 matches Lens has not looked bad in fact they have never dropped points while Reyes' last 2 appearances have lost and I think playing at home to Reyes also creates an opportunity for Lens to get full points, so they can catch PSG at the top of the standings

It is clear that the Champions League will always be a priority for PSG, but it is a crime not to win Ligue 1 with such a team. 
Of course, if the team wins the Champions League but loses Ligue 1, then Galtier will be forgiven, but I doubt that this will happen. We also see PSG not having such a big advantage in Ligue 1 this season, which can tell us that the team is not doing so well, and in the group stage, PSG did not always play their best.

@Swordsoffreedom it’s normal for team’s to drop points after a big break, and I strongly believe that PSG will rebound stronger because they have a very strong squad. Also I sincerely doubt that they’ll lose the league title, but if they do then their head coach will definitely be sacked but till then I doubt that he’ll be asked to leave.

They will be able to do it, yes they will be able to take the 3 points in this game. Of course, if they can perform well like what they did in the previous game. Troyes itself is not a team that can be said to be good now, but they cannot be said to be a bad team either. So it's possible for Troyes to make it difficult for Lens when they travel to their headquarters this week. Lens have come this far, don't let them even lose points in the match that should be theirs.

After the break of the world cup we have few top ranked teams in UEFA leagues are badly struggling and losing points which are interesting and having good impact on many leagues like here PSG is lost two matches which cut the gape from second spotted Lens for the just three points and third spotted Marseille having gape of just five points mean we are having good fight for the title race in coming days even PSG is clearly having good quality players, but things are looking not good for them, they have to improve their performance level if they want to stay at the top.

Now we are just 19 days away from this competition and right now both teams are struggling against their weaker opponents in their respective leagues with this all any prediction is not going to correct because Bayern Munich is having problems, and they are not able to win any game after break and PSG is also having one of the best attack in clubs around the world, but sadly they are also losing matches against domestic teams which mean things are not going to be good they need to improve their performance and quality as well if they want to have positive results from their big games otherwise most chances both teams could be again out of the competition with any other can win the title, and they have to start again for the next season with new energy.

PSG's main goal is to win the Champions League title or perform well in the Champions League. I think Ligue 1 is PSG's second priority. On the other hand, Lens' main and only goal is to perform well in Ligue 1. And so they have been able to maintain consistency. Since their only goal is Ligue 1. So they don't need to change their match strategy. And the performance is stable.

The lens is performing well now. But we are not sure if they can maintain the consistency till the end of the season. However, if PSG wants to stay in the safe zone and win the title, they will definitely need to improve their performance and get full points in the upcoming matches.

What Marseille will do is still uncertain. In fact I think the Lens and Marseille teams are of almost equal quality. So it is difficult to predict which team will top the points table.

Troyes was losing two matches in a row once lens keep winning the game. It's very hard to say if troyes will be winning the game. I prefer to pick lens even if it was giving small odds but 1.70 looks good in my opinion. Lens potentially gives us decent money rather than troyes.
Troyes may continue to get lose streak. i doubt if troyes will be able to give a tough game for lens. Lens is pretty much stable at this moment. This is the main competitor for PSG at this moment. Im thinking about lens potentially win with huge scores against troyes.
I won't risky my money by picking troyes. lens has more probability to win the game rather than troyes.

The chance of draw has 3.9, which means Lens has a chance to get 3 points after we look at how the bookie bravely calculated the bet. this is an opportunity for Lens to equalize the points, PSG is still underperformance after losing points at Roazhon Park.
