That transfer did not happen in the summer because of many reasons that I believe did not only come from Mbappe. PSG did not want to lose him too and the player probably was fluctuating between leaving and staying in PSG and Europe. He even wanted a lot, chance to join Real Madrid, opportunity to maximize his salary in Real Madrid too.

He did not only care of money but also titles and wanted to achieve many things at the same time. Saudi Professional League can help him earn money but again he also wanted to play in Europe to prepare for Euro 2024. So many barriers that did not make the superb transfer of Mbappe to Saudi Professional League to happen. It's the past story and I believe we will return with a similar story in future.

Mbappe does not covet huge sums of money, nor is he focused solely on his career, he is at the mid-level. Mbappe has rejected such a big offer thinking that his career may be ruined if he goes to Saudi Arabia, so why does he not understand that if he goes to Real Madrid from PSG, his career will be brighter. Mbappe wants to stay in Europe as well as he wants to earn a lot of money that's why he can't leave PSG. PSG pay Mbappe a huge annual salary that he probably wouldn't get if he went to Real Madrid, which is why every season the transfer market ends with drama between Mbappe and Real Madrid. Mbappé at this age should fully focus on his career, when he can take his career to the level of Ronaldo and Messi then he won't have to worry about money, the money will come to him.

Mbappe is probably the best paid sports professional outside of Saudi Arabia. Stating that he doesn't covet huge sums of money has already been proven wrong. No football player has ever received more than Mbappe. He got a huge lump sum and a loyalty bonus for every single year he stayed with PSG. Money was the sole reason why he signed an extensive contract with PSG. He earns around 20% of the entire PSG payroll. Cheesy

If that doesn't mean he covets huge sums of money, then what else could mean it...

But he wanted more money. He didn't want to forego his loyalty bonus of I think around $100 million or so and he was trying to get a deal with Real Madrid that would have made him as much money. But now that he himself is soon as rich as a sheikh who is sitting on a sea of oil, I wonder if he still considers going to Saudi Arabia.

I do not know what exactly happened with that team. I am not really following the news of it and if something changed then I am not sure about it, they were the PSG of ligue 1 before PSG got sold, they won so many times in a row, and after PSG became who the yare, I expected Lyon to be at least second, not this bad. Nowadays they are trying to just not get relegated and that's sad to see, I have no idea what happened.

There must be a lot of things to be done in lyon to save the club from being relegated. The club needs to actively buying the players to strengthen its club during the winter transfer season. There is also another thing like changing its coach and management. The coach being so clueless and he didn't even know what he was doing. I see the mentality of this club is going further and further back by the week.
Lyong needs to change a lot of things in the club or it will be playing in the lower division in the upcoming season. There's no need to mention the name of league but this club played even badly compared with last season.
I don't know what such huge decline is happening to this club.

Team needs to change a lot of its internal or it will be remain the same till the end of season. It's a huge challenge for lyon to leave from the relegation zone at this moment. The weak mentality owned by the club was coming from the manager.
No excusses for lyon and the team must win the upcoming game. this looks so hard but lyon must do this too. This club is now only collecting three points from so many matches. There are lots of chance to get up again.

With all the goals he scores if it should have been in another team it might have won them the champions league. Benzema only scored few goals compared to Mbappe and Real Madrid was a dangerous team to face because benzema was a big threat some one who is not as dangerous as Mbappe so just imagine Mbappe in Madrid they would be unstoppable.

Mbappe has been one of the deadliest strikers for the last two World Cups and he won one of them and finished the one in Qatar as vice world champion. I think calling that nothing serious is wrong.

I absolutely agree that he wasting golden years of his career with PSG because Ligue 1 is not where a player of his level is supposed to play. It was different for Messi because he had his success already and some circumstances led him to play for PSG. But it is not like Mbappe should be blamed for not winning the Champions League. He has proven that he can deliver on the highest levels with 12 goals in two World Cups. I can only hope that he will soon make a decision to leave PSG and finally play in a better league, but here is really only the Premier League that would get the best out of him and maybe La Liga if Barcelona gets back to strength and perhaps Atletico Madrid as well.
