Maybe it's too early to draw conclusions? Bayern is also not in first place in the Bundesliga and even City is not in first place in the Premier League. All three clubs are very close to the top and remain the bookmakers' favorites, so it is too early to talk about serious problems.
By the way, as I said, Mbappe scored two goals yesterday, showing that he is in excellent shape and his decline in performance at the club level is temporary.
Indeed, it's still too early. PSG can still show their best to their fans later, right now also they gap only 2 points different with Monaco. So PSG can still race to win the title, and yes you're right PSG is still the favorite team so it's possible they can still secure the title. Mbappe yesterday became hero on French team with 2 goals, Mbappe performance in scoring is actually still great, although Mbappe performance with PSG this season is not that impressive but yes is temporary.

In the previous few seasons Lens did not appear so impressive but last season they managed to become runners-up with 84 points and only 1 point difference with PSG who had 85 points but this season they have failed to maintain the best performance they have for League 1.
The deal is that I not so sure that Lens can be like last season being a great competitor for all League 1 teams.
Even though it is true that if they managed to beat Arsenal with a score of 2 - 1 for the UCL this will not guarantee that Lens will be able to give their best for the UCL because several teams from the Bundesliga and Premier League will definitely be able to easily get rid of Lens from the UCL.
Never judge team strength just because it has won one or two times but look at it as whole especially for the UCL which is filled with top teams from every league in Europe.
The performance of Lens last season was very good. They competed for the title. They were a bit unlucky so they didn't win the title. The team was only 1 point behind PSG. And because of such a great performance last season, fans have high expectations from Lens this season. But the lens started the season very badly.
Lens coach Franck Haise is trying to stabilize the team gradually. And so far he seems to be quite successful. We have seen better performances from Lens in the last few matches. Their performance has stabilized. After a big win against Arsenal, the Lens players will be more confident. In the upcoming matches, we may see a better performance from Lens.
One of the reasons Lens's performance has improved is because they've been able to tighten up their defense. They have conceded a lot of goals in the opening few matches of the season. But Lens defenders have been playing very well in the last few matches.
Yes as we know and indeed last season many fans thought that Lens would be able to compete with PSG and win the title but they all failed because they were still 1 point behind PSG.
However many fans were disappointed with their achievement as runners-up and there were also those who felt proud because Lens had surpassed the other teams so that they had big chance of becoming League 1 champions even though they could not achieve this yet.
If only in the middle of the season Lens can perform well then it is very likely that they will become one of the top teams which will make it difficult for other teams to hold first place until this season is over.
Franck Haise is trying hard to make Lens appear as impressive as last season and it can be seen that Lens is slowly showing an improved quality of play.
Even though it will be difficult to win the title at least it will be possible to get runner-up again so next season Lens can get ticket to the UCL like they got last season.
And currently in group B Lens is leading with 4 points because in the first match against Sevilla they were only able to draw 1 - 1.

The team had a good chance of winning Ligue 1 last season. The team failed to win the title due to dropping points in several  matches in the  middle of the season. But they were in great form  towards the end of the season. The team won  consecutive matches in several matches.
Lens can't get off to a good start this season. However  the team is gradually stabilizing with the hard work of coach Franck Haise. Lens is not only aiming to do well in the champions League. I think Lens' main target is Ligue 1. However  they will also want to maintain stability in the Champions league. The win against Arsenal certainly boosted the confidence of the Lens players. And  now they will want to play in the knockout round of the Champions League. As they beat giants like Arsenal. Lens have a chance to qualify for the knockout rounds if they perform with some consistency against the other teams in  the group.

I have full confidence in PSG coach Luis Enrique. Enrique is a very experienced coach. PSG's current squad is not very strong. The team's attack is now dependent on Mbappe. Mbappe is also unable to maintain consistency. Because of this, PSG's performance has been somewhat erratic. But I think Luis Enrique will be able to stabilize the team very quickly. I think Enrique is planning for the long term. That is why he is taking a lot of time to stabilize the team. If he gradually stabilizes the team, it will last longer. However, becoming the champion of Ligue 1 is not a difficult task for PSG. PSG's performance is a bit unstbale but they can win the Ligue 1 title.

Mbappé still knows how to shine in the French team with a double against the Netherlands. The problem sometimes does not lie with Mbappé personally, but it comes from coach Luis Enrique. In the match against Newcastle, Enrique suddenly ranked 4 strikers, Mbappé, Goncalo Ramos, Ousmane Dembele, and Randal Kolo Muani, to start. They only have 2 personnel left in the middle of the field: Warren Zaire-Emery and Manuel Ugarte. This caused PSG to collapse before Newcastle's fasf-pressing play.
That's a lesson for Luis Enrique on how to use  Mbappé. Mbappé must be the center of attack instead of playing deep behind Goncalo Ramos, as has happened. Enrique needs to push him laterally to exploit his pace and passing ability instead of forcing him into different roles.

Monaco's scoring productivity so far has been really impressive. They have nearly a 3-goal average a game in the league now. They don't have any problems on scoring goals maybe but they can do their defending better than this. They have conceded 11 goals so far. This can give them some headache later on.

Besides Monaco should improve their performance for big games as well. They lost to Nice home. They won against Marseille maybe but it was a really tough one. They had to make a comeback to win the game. In a month they have a PSG game as well.
AS Monaco have better goals productivities in Ligue 1 than other teams such as PSG scored 17 goals in 8 matches and Nice as 2nd standings teams scored 9 goals. Have good average with AS Monaco goals productivities around three goals on every match and success scored 21 goals until 8 matches. But have bit problem with AS Monaco defense because they have conceded 11 goals than Nice with most fewest four goals until matchday 8. AS Monaco position not secure yet as top standings awhile, left one points behind Nice must in consistency performance on every match. Several upcoming matches later, AS Monaco have easy opponent team and opportunity keep lead their position standings for several week later.
The league means that PSG's team status is currently very interesting. The whole world is having a lot of fun with the PSG team. After the departure of Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr., Mbappe is the sole leader of the team but now the performance of the team is deteriorating day by day.

With every advantage there must be a disadvantage, I don't think there's a problem if they have the highest frequency of conceding goals in the top 3 of the Ligue 1 standings. Don't just focus on the number of goals conceded, we also have to look at the difference between goals scored and conceded, so far AS Monaco has scored the same as PSG has.

Seeing what's happening in the current standings reminds me of the 2016/17 Ligue 1 season, when AS Monaco emerged as Ligue 1 champions (Mbappe was also still there at that time).

We might as well watch the changed in power this season, Monaco surprising everyone with a spectacular performance in games, basically competing for the Ligue One title this season, it's just a matter of time before we're able to examined the competitive race for the title have started already. Monaco are #1 favorite due to the level of consistency performance they've heaped in this current season, formidable strategy will results in excellence, no doubt about that. Monaco leading their opponents in Ligue One this season with 17 points earned from 8 games played this season. Monaco boss, Adolf Hütter having incredible stands in occupying the managerial pistons firmly.

I see that Nasser Al-Khelaifi ambition is too big to win the UCL title. on the one hand, he does not see that PSG mentality is really not ready and its still too early to win the title and because of this ambition, Nasser Al-Khelaifi always changes coaches when he fails to get the title in UCL and that is the error that occurs. PSG officials should start by getting their team used to continuing to compete consistently in the UCL, continuing to improve their performance and if they fail, dont fire the coach, but hold a meeting to see where the mistake is and fix it and I am sure the coach will have a strategy or method that can bring PSG to the top increased even more at UCL.
as we can see when PSG fails they always change coaches and even though this will be done continuously and get overall star players they will not be able to win the title there until PSG learns to be consistent. so I dont blame anyone for reducing the ambitions of PSG officials.

Nasser Al-Khelaifi is over-ambitious. Money and quality players can not win the UEFA Champions League, he should understand that. He needs to be patient with both the players and the coach. It took Pep Guardiola many seasons to win the UCL. If was sacked before time, the dream of the club to win this trophy wouldn't have come to pass. PSG is not doing badly, at least they have been dominating the French League since the Qatarian took over the ownership of the club. They have also made it to the Champions League finals, which is a commendable feat. If the club management had been patient with Thomas Tuchel, he would have lifted the trophy in PSG because he was building a powerful team. He was sacked and moved to Chelsea where he achieved what PSG is craving. I know that football is for business and glory but Nasser Al-Khelaifi should mix it with fun.

The cycle that being repeated by PSG is once the club would not able to win UCL and khelaifi will be changing the coach and the players. Im sure that PSG would be sanctioned if the club played in outside of french league. It's caused by the money spent by the club is not even the same like the in flow.
I don't even know the reason PSG is not yet getting sanction caused by in my opinion if this club already violated the fair play rules. PSG is always spending so much money for nothing.
I dunno how long khelaifi will try to continue this bad trend. The club needs to learn about how to grow from zero to hero without even using money as the main characteristic owned by this club. PSG is not as strong as this time without money.
Everything about PSG is always money.

No money no party. PSG can still rely upon mbappe but im sure this club will face huge decline once mbappe gone.

Nasser Al-Khelaifi's big ambitions were not accompanied by the right steps, so it is almost impossible for the PSG team to win the UCL title in the near future.
Everything requires a long process and time, as has been done by Manchester City for a long time, while PSG only relies on money to buy star players, I think that's a big mistake.
Moreover, this season PSG's performance is really getting worse compared to last season, there is no increased progress in this PSG team.
I agree with you that he as the owner of PSG only understands how to spend money in the transfer market without ever letting his club be built very well by every manager he has ever appointed to handle the club.
He should learn from Manchester City and Chelsea, where these two clubs need time so that they can finally turn into a club that has performed well in the Champions League.
The change of manager that he always makes every time the club gets bad results will only bring PSG back to the beginning because the new coach will implement new things too.
Money can turn PSG into a rich club but it won't turn it into a great club without the right management and even this season it will look even more difficult for them not only to win the Champions League but also the Ligue 1 title.

That's right, a classic problem that has no real solution until now. PSG may have everything to get their dream squad, but again this club doesn't have a winning mentality when it comes to the Champions League competition. I don't know what's wrong with them but as long as they keep spending money, they won't achieve these achievements. This was more than 5 seasons ago and again they mostly only got stuck in the round of 16.

Ambitious is something that can be good, it's just that it must be accompanied by staff, coaching management and players as its components go well. but that's not the case for PSG, which sometimes only forces to do some things that are just like changing players every year with the money they have but not proportional to the achievements they get, which indicates that their system still has missing components and should be if you look at it quite consciously, especially with the money and players they have, of course this is not a problem there but in other elements that cannot utilize the resources of money and players properly.

If you look at the budget that Nasser Al-Khelaifi put forward to build PSG, I think it is very natural that he is very ambitious to win the Champions League, and we certainly understand his demands on every coach and player. When compared with other club owners, in my opinion, when Roman Abramovich was still Chelsea president, he was more aggressive and put more pressure on his coaches and players. I think PSG really have to wait for momentum and luck to win the UCL, on the other hand they already have it all. Like Chelsea luck when they first achieved it, with their interim coach Roberto Di Matteo.

Currently, PSG really has to work harder to improve their performance this season, because after what PSG has achieved in eight matches this season, PSG is still not optimal in carrying out this season even though PSG is not in a worse position. But if you look at the number of points that PSG has currently obtained, it seems that Enrique should be able to take advantage of Dembele and Mbappe who are currently still in the PSG squad. All this is in order not to lose PSG's dominance in Ligue1 this season.
I think PSG is on a good track in the standings table because the points gap with the top ranked teams is so close which makes it very easy for PSG to return to the top ranking in the upcoming matches. Indeed, at the start of this season, PSG did not show their best form in Ligue 1 because they lost several points in easy matches, so PSG must be able to return to their best form by recording a winning trend in the upcoming matches. Luis Enrique seems to need time to develop a strategy that he can truly rely on in every match.

Mbappe, Dembele, Asensio and Gancalo Ramos must be able to make big contributions to PSG and be able to work together to continue to achieve maximum results in every match. For Monaco and Nice, their position is not safe enough in the standings table because PSG will certainly put pressure on them every week.

For a team like PSG with the huge investment they had in this summer and the players they bought to have better performance than last season, it is a shame for them to be in this situation and I think they should work much harder to have better performance because this time we can't even say they don't have a good coach after having a coach like Enrique working in this team.

Those investments will not pay off. PSG will be suffering the same situation when the club had already spent billions to buy the players but they can't deliver. this is a classic problem owned by PSG and i don't know how long this problem will remain exist in PSG.

Some guys like dembele or goncalo ramos will be missing mbappe next year since mbappe already projected to leave from the club once PSG will not able to win UCL. It seems like that there was an agreement between mbappe and PSG regarding UCL this season.

I have a clue that if mbappe is willing to leave from PSG. I think that the possible agreement between PSG chairman and mbappe was if PSG win UCL mbappe stays but if PSG loses it and mbappe leave.

It's so simple to guess what agreement it is. Mbappe will be leaving from PSG caused by i see no chance for the club to win UCL this season.

Maybe there is an agreement like that between PSG owners and Mbappe but it is absolutely impossible to bring the big ear trophy to the city of Paris. Mbappe must be more mature and there is no need to wait any longer to be at PSG, he must determine his next career. If he continues to stay at PSG he will only be satisfied with the Ligue 1 title and will be increasingly left behind by other players who are currently shining even more.

Yes indeed, although PSG looks like it will be difficult to win the Ligue 1 title this season, but in reality PSG still has a chance to be able to end this season as a title winner. After all, with PSG's unstable performance like this, I think Ligue 1 will become more interesting because the title race has become very competitive this season. Also, regarding the next match PSG against Strasbourg I think it will still be an interesting match, because last season PSG was not so smooth to beat Strasbourg. So yes, at least Strasbourg still has the ability to be able to provide good resistance to PSG in the next match at the Parc des Princes.

I am still quite confident that PSG will be able to win this match because I know PSG chances are greater than Strasbourg, so far Strasbourg is still considered bad, they are in 11th position in the standings and have only won 10 points from 8 matches and have conceded 11 goals from 8 matches.
If you compare it with PSG, of course PSG is much better than Strasbourg at the moment, so its very likely that PSG will be able to get points in this match if PSG is able to use the opportunity well, but it could be that Strasbourg will appear surprising in this match because sometimes there are always surprises in every match Wink
