PSG's squad may not have any big-name star players. But the bonding between the players in PSG's squad is very strong. So if the players of PSG can continue this kind of performance then there is a possibility of this team performing well in the Champions League as well. Due to the good understanding between the players, the team played well in all three matches in Ligue 1 and managed to win each match by a big margin. PSG got an experienced coach like Luis Enrique. Luis Enrique is also an experienced coach for the Champions League platform. So I think PSG has a great chance to do well in Champions League matches this season.

PSG is still able to play high quality football because they didn't sell most of their key players. They lost Mbappe on free transfer and sold Manuel Ugarte (Manchester United), Hugo Ekitiké (Frankfurt) and Danilo Pereira (Al-Ittihad Club). All other key players were maintained. I guess this is the reason why they are still coordinated, unlike others that are trying to find rhythm due to the introduction of new players. PSG gives priority to the Champions League and I am sure Luis Enrique will be doing all he can to make the club make an impact in the competition. I am not sure that Qatar Sports Investments headed by Nasser Al-Khelaïfi will be patient with Luis if he fails to win the competition this season.

Not only now the PSG be favorite to win Ligue 1 even before the league starts, they have become a strong candidate to become champions this season, so I think there is nothing surprising about their current statistics including consecutive wins at the start of the season, PSG has a squad that is very capable and they are still better than the current rival teams, the quality of the squad and also the financial differences have been a strength for PSG to be able  their to easily win Ligue 1, but unfortunately the greatness that PSG have in Ligue 1 is not comparable to their performance and mentality in the Champions League which very bad so far, to be honest if we talk about Ligue 1 of course we can't deny that they are the strongest candidate to be champhionsip, while other teams are currently only competing for a place in the UCL, but for this season Champions League, I personally don't expect much from PSG.
I get what you're saying about PSG being favorites to win Ligue 1, they definitely got a strong squad and all that. But you know, their performance in the Champions League hasn't been all that great, so I ain't expecting much from them this season. Gotta see how it plays out though, never know what could happen in football, am I right?

Quite interesting to leave Palmer out of the conference league squad, I do get that they want to rest him, and they do have a huge squad as well so they do not really need to do anything crazy with their squad and overload them, they can relax the way they want. But at the same time, we are looking at Palmer who could be their very best player, couldn't they find someone else to rest and make him play there?

I think Conference league is important, and they will have a chance to put him back in after the group stages, but I would say making him play there, and resting him on FA cup games would make more sense. This looks like a mistake to me, but of course I am not a manager so what do I know, maybe they have a better understanding of the situation.
Are you talking about Chelsea dropping Cole Palmer from their Europa Conference League squad?
I think you've entered the wrong room, this isn't the place to discuss the Europa Conference or the Premier League where Chelsea compete. As per the title above, this thread was created to discuss matters related to Ligue 1. Ligue 1 always belongs to PSG and AS Monaco, that's why the average person makes AS Monaco the main challenger to PSG almost every season, although sometimes we see different competitions, for example Lille who managed to win the Ligue 1 title in the 2020/21 season. This season we have an old challenger who is worthy of being a challenger again, yes, I'm talking about Marseille here, De Zerbi + Greenwood are signings that bring good luck to the team, I don't understand why Brighton doesn't extend De Zerbi's contract, even though he's a great manager.

Talking about clubs that always dominate League 1, Monaco is actually not a club that is included in the dominance of League 1, maybe in the last few seasons Monaco can be said to be a competitor of PSG in League 1 because they were able to finish in the top 5, but if we look further, there is actually a club that is quite a threat to PSG for this season, namely Marseille because in its history Marseille has dominated the title more than Monaco and this season Marseille seems to have made many changes and improvements for the better. I think League 1 clubs are only able to make it difficult for PSG to win the title if PSG's chances of winning the title are still quite large, they seem unwavering even though they have lost their goal-scoring machine.

This is the history of the League 1 title Marseille is in 3rd place while Monaco is in 5th place.

The problem now is that Monaco is not in a good situation, even in the last few seasons they have had a hard time breaking through the competition at the top and they have been thrown to 5th and even 6th position. Monaco is still not that consistent, so that is also the reason why I personally still doubt Monaco's progress in Ligue 1. Not to underestimate, but that's what I've seen in the last few seasons. However, it is possible that they will be able to play better and more consistently this season, so that they can provide very tight competition to Paris Saint Germain. At least they can make Paris Saint Germain not easily win the title in Ligue 1, because during the seasons they were very comfortable to become champions.

Take a look at my merits, It's lucky number
AS Monaco has always been the best challenger for PSG, there is no doubt in my words. Almost every season in the last 4 seasons, AS Monaco has always been in the top 3 of the Ligue 1 standings (in the 2022/23 season they are in 6th place). For Marseille, we were disappointed and doubtful of them when betting, but I think we have to give them another chance this season, since Greenwood's arrival, they look different.
Runner up position so far Monaco best achievement in the last 6 season because last time Monaco can able to finish on that position on season 2017/2018 and i think this proven Monaco has good progress although they have to changing manager several times but i can see Monaco performance is quite stable but i wouldn't considers Monaco as strong rival for PSG because just like we all know PSG is more dangerous compared to last season so i think it's hard for Monaco to be the strong contender for PSG for race title and for Marseille i can see the arrival of De Zerbi bringing positive impact for this team even they have Greenwood who performing well at the beginning of season and i was curious how far will they go in this league

Greenwood has now found the right place to bring out all the talent that is in him, bringing him has brought a breath of fresh air in league 1
and we see a very different Marseille this season, they seem to say ''we are ready to compete in league 1''
Marseille are lucky to have recruited this magical player especially because he is still very young and that is an additional advantage for Marseille for their long-term investment.
talking about 5 goals in 3 games for a new player, I think it's crazy. Shocked Greenwood is adapting very well to the league.
we see the top scorer table greenwood is temporarily at the top of the standings, and if he performs impressively throughout this season it is possible that greenwood will become the top scorer in league 1.

Been the highest goal scorer so far is a progressive improvement on the side of greenwood and I can say without any form of doubt that he's very likely to set a record this season in ligue 1 if he continues at this pace he has already started off with, having gone through all that he went through seasons back here is a place to get fresh air and put out his talent back into his career and make way for opportunities for himself so he will be able to get relevant again in the football career. For Marseille, this has to be one of the best investments they had this season, they are going to probably have a boost through him because if he keeps scoring more goals and keeping them ahead, definitely they are going bro have a chance at the top of the table such that they can contend strongly with PSG heads on.

However, for me, the other team that looks more convincing is Monaco, which always gives its best performance even though it always fails to compete with PSG, but Monaco is always a positive view for me. Marseille can be one of the stable teams but sometimes it makes me worried when betting on this team. Because last season Marseille made us all worried when they started the season a little badly but got better in the second half of last season.

The reality is that PSG is so good that most of their bench players are still better than many of their opponents, which is why it is not really that complicated to keep this going, we should think about getting better results in most cases and betting on them is easy but usually wasteful since odds are not that great. I would say betting on Marseille or Monaco is a lot better because they do win quite often and they do have better odds that profit better too.

For the past two seasons now that PSG started misbehaving, I have stop giving them a direct winning in my ticket unless they are playing against a very weak team. The bookmakers mostly manipulate the odds just to lure people but end up losing their bet. Personally, I do prefer risking my money on high odds than small odds that may like spoil tickets for me.

But PSG can not be underestimated in their domestic league, at least they are always the league leaders, I really regret that at some time PSG experienced a setback in the past but I think they are currently very capable of getting consistency, you might be brave enough to penetrate the sun with a big chance when facing PSG, I think it's better like what tygeade said, Monaco and Marseille are much better places to bet if you are looking for profit there.

Marseille will beat PSG, Greenwood is really like a beast when he play for Marseille, Manchester United will regret for release him. The most interesting is, Marseille is full of new players that signed in 2023 and 2024, but they can perform like a team that already have 4-5 years chemistry.

I really doubt Monaco will beat PSG, they're not make many change in their squad.

Manchester united will regret releasing Greenwood? I doubt that. Is there any impact he added to Manchester squad before the saga? There's no player greater than the team and Manchester united have long forgotten him since he's been replaced. Mind you, performance is not being measured by the changes that occur in a team. Take a look at Liverpool in Premier league, they did not make much change in their squad but they're having a good start already with a new couch.
Greenwood shows his potential in a decent place and I think if Greenwood becomes the best player in the French league 1 there must be some regret at Man United, and you need to see the state of Manchester United which is in an unstable state even losing twice for the 3 matches that have been passed, that is a bad result at the start of the season, they can't get what is considered good as a team, they become very weak.

This player is quite shining in Lique 1, Greenwood performed impressively under the tutelage of Roberto De Zerbi. In his three matches with Marseille, he has scored five goals. Well, since Lique 1 has only started for three weeks, we cannot yet predict Greenwood's performance in the next matches. What I am considering is Marseille's center forward, his consistency has not been tested. Likewise with the players they borrowed, we cannot yet be sure of Neal Maupay's performance as a striker for the Marseille squad. If Greenwood is playing below performance, then their pure striker is the mainstay in terms of scoring goals for his team. What is certain is that we do not yet fully know the performance of De Zerbi's team from match to match. However, considering that they do not have a busy schedule in other competitions, De Zerbi can focus his team only on the competitions they are participating in. at least, Marseille's direction in change is increasingly visible under the touch of Roberto De Zerbi.

I just realized that Marseille just brought in Greenwood. Cheesy At first I didn't expect what made this team better at the start of the season and after reading your reply I just realized that this former Man United player seems like he can perform brilliantly in league 1. From 3 matches he was able to score 5 goals and this is a good start for Marseille.
It seems that I have to reconsider my doubts about Marseille and maybe after this I will be more confident in betting on every match of this team. And now it seems that Monaco does not feel safe after having a challenger who is almost equal and of course it is also a concern for PSG.

Yeah, they bought him after seeing what Greenwood could do at Getafe, 8 goals and 6 assists from 33 appearances with Getafe (quite an impressive statistic given the amount of stress he had following his case), so far Greenwood has scored 5 goals in just 3 appearances with Marseille. I think Marseille are lucky enough to get him so they can perform better than last season.

There would be no need for any regrets, if you were following up with the case you will know that he still wouldn't have played if he was held back at Manchester United, he would have had almost no play time and it would be a burden to Manchester United in the long run because he will still be paid his wages as a player but back in Marseille, he will be taken care of and that lifted off Manchester United. I understand that in terms of his qualities, Manchester United is going to miss him because he was one very brilliant player they had before his case but it still doesn't validate that his stay against every odds wouldn't have been fruitful so his move was just the best thing for him and Manchester United.

Having PSG in this league means that betting on the games usually becomes boring because no other team really does have that "worth it" insistence on betting. Like even for Monaco or Marseille, if you bet on them to win every game, there is a big chance that you will be at a loss at the end of the season.

The real tricky part is that if you focus on just betting on team based, then you are not going to get anything good. I suggest taking it game by game. It's obvious that PSG will most games, but when it comes to other games, then each week you should check who plays with who. Normally I bet on certain teams games, but for France I stopped doing that last year, and instead check on the games, I could play on two teams I have no idea about, as long as it looks like it makes sense.

PSG will play Marseille at the end of October, and until then they will try to be as close to PSG as possible. But despite a good game, they have already lost points in the match with Reims, so who knows what else can happen during this time. Marseille can afford to fully focus on Ligue 1, but I am not sure that this will help them to compete with PSG, if they are already losing points even without a face-to-face confrontation. And the match with Lille showed that they will not be able to become worthy opponents for them either, despite the away match it was an easy victory for PSG.
Even top teams have terrible days. PSG arent invincible, and the Champions League will put them under strain. PSG wants the big prize, therefore they may rest their stars in Ligue 1. Marseille must act there. Keep the pressure on, stay close. Marseille must be ready to strike when PSG slips, which they will.

Lets not dismiss them yet. This season is long, so anything may happen. Marseille needs constancy. They must keep grinding, build up points, and capitalize when PSG turns to Europe. This is a marathon, not a sprint. And the Ligue 1 title race might be exciting.
Honestly, for years they have been trying to win the UCL and failing, and still winning the league anyway. I am not saying that they will do the same now, but there is a potential that they may not really rest that many players or even when they rest they are good enough.

The reality is that PSG is so good that most of their bench players are still better than many of their opponents, which is why it is not really that complicated to keep this going, we should think about getting better results in most cases and betting on them is easy but usually wasteful since odds are not that great. With all those arrivals, Marseille's squad is almost fresh, but they play like they've been together for years. They struggled against Reims, but PSG has had their share of setbacks. The last couple of seasons have seen them "misbehave" and drop unexpected results.

Its barely worth betting on PSG because their chances are so low. But Marseille? Their odds may yield more. Greenwood is a game-changer. He was on fire.

PSG is powerful, no doubt. But dont overlook Marseille this season. They could surprise everyone as the dark horse. In soccer, anything can happen.

Mason Greenwood's arrival may not necessarily break the players owned by PSG. I also know Mason Greenwood looks very productive but PSG players also cannot be underestimated they have played solidly in the last few matches and created many goal opportunities and currently they have collected the most goals among others even though Marseille is a threat this season because they recruited many players but I'm not sure Marseille can beat PSG even in Marseille's second match against Reims at home Marseille was only able to get a draw so a fair result for both of them might get a draw but what I know is PSG will not want to give 1 point to Marseille.

PSG has a two-point advantage after Marseille drew their game against Reims. The League is still open because there are still more games to play. Marseille was able to buy a few players and is expected to give PSG a strong competition. But in terms of quality players, technical team and financial support PSG has the advantage.
Yes, that's right, Marseille's performance is actually quite improved from last season, at least at the beginning of this season, they were in 2nd position. However, in addition to the number of points being 2 different, the number of goals is still lower than PSG, and quite far. Maybe because yesterday PSG just won the match against Montpellier with a score of 6 - 0 without reply.

Google/ligue1

And what's see? What makes interesting is that Greenwood becomes the top scorer so far in Ligue 1. Man United must see this, again and again, like this.

It's just that next week, they also have to play against Nice, who were in the top 5 last season. This certainly won't be easy for Marseille. If they can get a full 3 points, then this will maintain their position in runner up, and advance the race to catch up with PSG.
