There are so many things which are bad even if you say that you won't over do them, therefore it's also important to be educated and practice having a good moral. On some religions, gambling is also prohibited. In terms of making our lives better, I think many mature people think it's too late of doing it. Of course that is a wrong mindset to have.

It's not gambling that creates problems in the first place, but it is us and our lack of patience and self-control that creates all those problems and gambling is simply a source for that to happen. Even if we are not gambling but still don't have patience and self-control, there will always be another way that will create problems for us and our families because we are basically not acting in the right way.
