Before any gambling negative consequences will affect the family members, it must have first dealt with you first in such a way you least expect, gambling is not what is not good, but our character and attitude towards how we gamble, if we have a bad mannered culture in gambling and the way we live life in general, it will affect us from hownwe gemble and the people around us as well will have to complain about it, this is more of how are we able to deal with our personal behaviours and cope with how others also cope with us through what we do.
The OP has misunderstood what gambling is, because if it were inherently bad, it wouldn't exist in the world. If you are in business, it will be easier for you to understand what gambling is. I would agree that gambling is risky, but it's not inherently bad. Its 'badness' is based on an individual's experience, especially if they don't know how to manage the risk.
Many things are risky; even entering into business is risky because there's no guarantee of success. When you start a business, you risk your money, and if you fail, you lose your money. It's the same concept with gambling—you take a risk. However, as we all know, gambling is not a reliable way to make a source of income, so everyone should only see it as a form of entertainment.
So the question now is, if you want to be entertained, are you willing to spend money?
