See, gambling can be a shortcut to poverty at some point in the case of those who participate in gambling excessively greedily and prioritize money. But this may not be the case for those who mainly control themselves and participate in gambling. But one thing is very important that gambling may not have negative effects if there is an alternative system of monetary income and also if one is participating in gambling only for pleasure.

There is a thread about why crypto crypto casinos need a gambling license to operate their business and I had the same argument. Actually, the government forces them to get a license so they can force casinos to pay taxes. My argument was, that we don't even need a license if the government cannot help a player when they get scammed by the casinos. But surely there are people who oppose the idea and say you cannot operate a casino without a license.

That's a harsh reality that many people don't understand, especially those who support governments and their theories blindly. Such people would say that governments regulate casinos and ask them to acquire licenses because they want to protect gamblers but that isn't true. They do it so that they can tax casinos and then gamblers separately since they will have the data required to check who has won significant amounts from gambling so that they can tax them accordingly.

Come back to the main point. Unfortunately, online casinos never know anything about your financial conditions. They don't know if you are gambling with your last savings. Even if you do, you are unlikely to tell them that you are using your last money. However most casinos have self exclusion system that a players can use if they have any problems. Gambling is not for everyone. Always gamble what you can afford to lose.

Whether it's an online casino or a physical casino, the management would definitely not care about the financial status and condition of a customer, they might ask for the source of the funds to make sure it isn't from a crime, but they wouldn't want you not to gamble even if they know you are about to gamble away all your savings or it is the last bit of your money because they care about their business only.

With gambling gaining awareness each day and the population of those gambling increasing it's calls for concern as many has fallen victim to this money sucking game that makes people not to save their money but loss it.

What matters in this context is perspective and it plays alot of roles in the life of the gambler involved, while some see it as the gateway to financial freedom some see it as the gateway to poverty and you can't change that fact cause what you believe is what works Best for you, have sat with a colic and seeing how he brags about his huge wins and achievement he's made with it I was dumfounded but then in the other hand alot of gamblers that are so desperate and chronic loss chasers are being addicted and vulnerable to the society so you see, so it definitely has alot damages than amends which makes your statement true.
Gambling addiction causes a gambler to constantly run towards his goal and lose more than he expected. But he thinks that he will win and continues to over-allocate and waste real resources which creates a negative impression on the society. about gambling I've never seen gamblers brag and most fail to do justice to themselves because they don't allow themselves to be realistic and constantly use gambling to earn money which puts them at greater financial loss. It might be a wrong decision for you to consider gambling as a gateway to poverty because if you are gambling for fun, it can save you from addiction. Besides, you should limit the allocation of money for gambling and by confining yourself to a particular time, you can positively consolidate your position.

Gambling is short cut to poverty

Not for everyone. Though it's a common narrative that those who started to get hooked up with gambling are eventually going to be broke. Yeah, that's actually true, but that depends on each person. There are those who know how to control their expenses despite of being so frequent in gambling.
Those who don't value their hard earned money are most likely going to be broke in no time lol.
The problem is that people perceive gamble wins as free money. With this orientation, they end up wasting these wins on pleasure instead of investing the money. Others might be carried away by these wins and keep gambling until they lose all they have gathered. That is why most big winners in gamble go broke after a short period.

A gambler can come out of poverty if he realizes that winning big might one in a one-in-a-lifetime event. They also understand that gambling is not a business venture which is why they need to invest what they have earned in something profitable. Big wins can also free someone from poverty if he decides not to increase his gambling budget no matter how much he had won.

Infact gambling has made many to go broke and live in poverty many has lost their life savings and even pension in gambling, I am of the view that gambling should be controlled by the government of each country and that there should be a maximum amount of money one should use in gambling.
I agree with you that gambling has got a lot gone broke and also looses the values of their responsibilities including personalities to their respective societies but who is to be blamed? Of not not the gamble but the gambler who was unable to take control of themselves in keeping a responsible gambling personalities.
By realize the fact that gambling can make many more bankrupt and live in poverty, people must not use gambling as a way to make money or even a source of income. They must think the other ways to make money so they can search for a job. If they want to playing gambling, they must have control over themselves so they will not get addicted to gambling. They also need to allocate some money that will be used to gambling and not break that. If they don't want to bankrupt from gambling, they must strict to their rule and needs to responsible to their gambling activity. But if they are in poverty, they don't have to try to playing gambling instead use that money for their life.

No one forces anyone to go into gambling, and we have our various reasons why we gamble. Those whose reason for gambling was to make profit are the problem to themselves, because they wanted to make money from an impossible source. In the beginning, if you advise them that it is impossible to double their money with gambling, they will run away from you, and keep their gambling activities secretive because they see you as someone who is against their goal. Later, when they have lost it all due to addiction and become frustrated, they will not blame their foolishness but put all the blame on gamble.

The gambling terrains are only built for those who like, love and wants to gamble and not that everyone 'must" gamble as a mandate.

So I literally don't see criticizing the development of gambling. If anyone has lost their funds regrettably, the gambling boards does not have to be blamed but the gambler because everyone is entitled to their decisions if to gamble or not and also on the opinion to be disciplined or not while they gambles.
It is all a game of choice for every individual.

But let's take a critical look at this very sensitive matter called gambling has anyone really made it from gambling, is gambling worth it and if really anyone has made it through gambling can he/she proudly tell the younger ones that gambling is what going into.
I would boldly say... YES, i have made it in gambling because I have been luck to win several and thoug has also lost several times.
Interestingly... I could play I feel the funs out of it especially playing on the slots games.

The government wants to control gambling actually they don't care about the people who experience defeat or bankruptcy I see it the government wants to control gambling only targeting taxes. So in the conclusion that I got about gambling so far what actually makes gamblers bankrupt and actually can be rich this all depends on their perspective in viewing gambling. In addition of course they gamble responsibly, they gamble not carelessly but have a mature strategy and calculation.

Gambling is a shortcut to poverty? Yes I can agree with that assumption, it is an assumption based on a fact, but unfortunately most people are trapped in a misconception where gamblers especially those who fight against the casino's advantage think that gambling is an alternative or solution to overcome financial problems and that is why they eventually experience a slump in their lives which initial impact refers to the loss of financial stability.

On the other hand I think that if the object of victory in gambling is not money then it seems very unlikely for gamblers to misunderstand what and how gambling really is, when someone is faced with the opportunity to get money with little effort then that's where they will put great hope and of course that is a fatal mistake in thinking, so use your common sense, don't be easily tempted by everything that looks tempting, you don't know the negative side.

Basically it depends on the individual or a person's mindset in viewing gambling. If the mindset is to get rich quick from gambling then he will soon go bankrupt because of gambling, and vice versa if he considers gambling as entertainment and just for fun then he can be responsible for his gambling. Admittedly or not gambling if too hasty especially in making decisions most will go bankrupt because they can't control themselves, but if gambling is relaxed and not too ambitious about gambling especially wanting to get rich quickly he will get lucky from gambling because of course he gambles with a comfortable and calm mind.

I agree with what you said, it depends on the mindset of each individual which in fact certainly not everyone will have the same thoughts completely, but in terms of gambling it is possible that most people think that they can get victory and maybe even some think they can quickly achieve wealth just by gambling when in fact it will only make them bankrupt, even I think stress or depression is a result of gambling which is considered a source of income.
The bankruptcy of each person in terms of gambling is not the fault of others, but rather the fault of themselves who are too aggressive in gambling because in my opinion when gambling is done properly with certain limitations or strict discipline then there will be no problems or serious impacts.

Strict control over the limits of the amount can cause the growth of shadow play, and this is also not very good. We have seen this in the past and even now in some countries where gambling is generally prohibited, players manage to create underground casinos. Like in the movie when in one ordinary bar, there was a second door to the basement where poker games for big money were held, as well as a casino.

And if the responsible authorities take on such matters, then we must very carefully consider what consequences for the country's economy we will have in the future. Studying the experience of other countries would be the best solution.

And whoever is illegal, they still make more money than the government of a country, and the worst thing is that sometimes there are government officials who are protectors of illegal gambling.
It's nothing new, they're the one who make the government poor because they're have the right to ban the sites and caught the creators. There are so many criminals here, but if the government officials are really work based on their job desk, the country would be rich and many citizen wouldn't as struggle as now, but the effect is they will not be really rich. Many people want to become government officials in order to make money instead of serve the government and public.
This is a well-known truth, it is not uncommon for some positions to be very expensive, it is understandable why they are willing to pay for it, because then they will take a lot of bribes to earn even more. And they are definitely not going to change anything for ordinary people, and people in search of a better life will look for ways to earn extra money and gambling can be such a way. I do not agree that gambling is a shortcut to poverty, but those who lose in gambling are more than those who earn something here.

The approach you mentioned is worthy. There should be a limit how much each person can spend on gambling and it should not be more than 10% of their income. But there would be problem enforcing it as there are several different ways gambling can be done and a lot of it not regulated. Even among the regulated gambling it would be difficult to track each person's expenses. And that would be a hassle and large expense for the government which don't have direct benefits for the government. It remains as a personal rule for people that have self obidence and the subsequent result on failure would be a punishment for not being self obidient. Many people would keep on learning the hard way.

That's really the job of all governments around the world. That's why if gambling doesn't follow the regulation they have, it's definitely illegal, and only in legal casinos do they get taxes that they benefit from them. That's why even though there is regulation for gambling casinos, it is still inevitable that there is still illegal gambling.
I am not referring to legal or illegal gambling sites. I am referring to all gambling sites generally. And to be more specific, I am referring to the legal gambling sites. First the government does not give a fuck in most countries. Second is that in countries where the government still tried to regulate gambling, the regulation is not enough towards protecting citizens from addiction. If the regulation is enough, gamblers will still have ways to bypass what will not make them gamble anytime they want as long as it is online. That the best way is for gamblers to individuallly discipline themselves.

I am of the view that gambling should be controlled by the government of each country and that there should be a maximum amount of money one should use in gambling.
But you know already that the governments do not give a fuck about gamblers and bettors. They care more about the taxes. Then you are the one to learn not to be greedy and see gambling as just a means of having fun. If you see it not in that way or it is not fun for you, then you should quit gambling.

Many gambling sites follow some regulations and have helpful information for addicts or those that are becoming addicted to gambling. But gambling addiction is more than just those articles and self-exclusion that you see on the gambling sites. The best self-exclusion comes from the mind while the best means to gamble comes from the mind and it requires discipline.

That's really the job of all governments around the world. That's why if gambling doesn't follow the regulation they have, it's definitely illegal, and only in legal casinos do they get taxes that they benefit from them. should be controlled by the government of each country and that there should be a maximum amount of money one should use in gambling.

The government also gets funds through gambling by imposing taxes.
There are indeed those who are poor because of gambling but regulating how much their citizens can spend on gambling is a difficult step, if they have difficulty playing in a licensed casino then they can still channel their gambling desires in an unlicensed casino even more difficult for the government is when its citizens gamble online, it is impossible to track them one by one to regulate how much can be used in gambling.
Educating its citizens that gambling is not an activity that can make you rich is one good step so that its citizens will gamble according to their ability to lose their money
