Sansa has played a stereotypical role of damsel in distress throughout the series. Sansa has always been in trouble & has never been able to save herself without relying on others. I hope Sansa is able to do something cool for once. But I get the feeling Sansa will get into trouble once again & Arya will have to save her.
People were upset over Theon abandoning his sister. BUT Asha abandoned Theon first when Theon tried to hold Winterfell. Theon and his sister are even now! I think that's hilarious even though I probably shouldn't laugh about it.
I'm thinking the prophecy must refer to Jon Snow or Daenerys but statistically Cersei looks to be ahead as far as the war goes with Euron capturing Asha and the queen of dorne.

, but i just remember that the producer david benioff promised in the last season game of thrones it's season 6 there would be the biggest battle ever but not happened i guess. let's see what he promised in the 7th season about another biggest battle. and we might would find who would rule !

@gabmen. No Sansa is not interested in the iron throne for now but she is already showing signs for her lust of power and control. She also mentioned that she has learned a lot from Cersei during her time in King's Landing. That is another sign of more friction to come with Jon.

Just finished watching. This first episode was decent compared to the general 1st episodes of other seasons which where rather slow. No info about who will be the last remaining winner of the Iron throne though. We just have to wait and watch. I still have my bet on Sansa. She's the weakest but probably has the best support around her(if you discard Daenerys). Others are the type of people who will be in the front line of the battle but that wouldnt be the case for Sansa Stark afaik. People will sacrifice themselves to keep her alive including Bran and Arya. We just have to wait and watch. This season will just have 8 episodes so.. 7 weeks left for the conclusion and epic battle before that.
It was ok. It is a little slow and honestly, a little boring. But I know the pace will pick up in maybe the 3rd episode.
About Sansa, I reckon she will evolve into something like Cersei Lannister who is very scheming and conniving. She will use Littlefinger to get what she wants. As you see, she and Jon Snow are already showing their differences.
Sansa probably will get herself killed later in the series. I don't see her vying for the iron throne nor does she have any claim on it as well. And there would likely be something that will go down with her and littlefinger also. See'd likely beat that annoying baelish in a game of manipulations

Obviously, Lord Varys will rule by proxy.

I am a staunch supporter of the Starks, They are the most noble house in the entire realm and i hope they attain independence, they certainly dont care about the Iron Throne, what matters to them is their independence, and they are the most at risk when the white walkers attack due to their proximity to the great wall.
Actually Sansa seems to really want to sit on the Iron Throne, judging by her conversation with Littlefinger in the new episode

Here is my theory - humans will fight against each other, they will be weak, winter will come and Night King will defeat them all. He is un-dead king with special abilities ffs! Who can compete with that?

There are rumors that the White Walkers are coming for Jon Snow as there are theories that say that Jon Snow was the Prince who was promised to them 8000 years ago. The White Walkers had some kind of pact with the Starks that was broken by the Starks,because of which Brandon the builder from House Stark built the wall after the White Walkers returned to the north after losing the War of the Dawn,so that they couldn't come back and start a war again.
Yet again it's a rumor not sure if its going to happen.
This might be true in the books, but in series it has been shown that White Walkers are a superweapon created by Children of the Forest that went out of their control, so most likely that their motive is just purge the world from all living creatures.

Even though they are the ultimate villains of the tv show, I am a staunch supporter of the white walkers, i hopet they squash the warring factions and bring about an everlasting winter. Jon Snow deserves to rule, he has put all hatred behind him to fight the ultimate evil plaguing the land that is the white walkers.

I'm one of those who'll wait for the season to end before binge-watching. Such delicious agony to wait and avoid all talk on it. Not exactly a super fan, just find the series entertaining. If the theme is maintained in any fashion:
1. The strongest on paper will somehow capitulate. So that, for me, rules out the Dragon queen.
2. The game of thrones has no end, and is just a cycle that'll repeat itself. To (mis)quote from BG: All of this has happened before, and all of this will happen again.

What do you mean first episode of season 7? If yes, finally the series of films in waiting start too. After reading this thread I just know that can bet on this movie. Maybe i left behind a lot of things.

What's the use many users claim it has already been leaked and most likely it is going to be Cersei Lannister as betway had suspended the betting odds when many users from germamy started betting on her. There are rumours this can be fake because the game of thrones director had shot few fake scenes. For now i only see onehash.com have the odds for the king

Another surprise might be Tyrion's disloyalty towards Daenerys when she starts fighting his brother Jaime. I speculate that Tyrion will be on the side of his brother in the end.

Anyways, Upon looking up at the odds they seem to be pretty bad, I don't know if they are going to be any better at the future, but all we can do is waiting to see.

I have a feeling that it will be sort of a let down on who will rule in the end. The way the show has progressed, I have a feeling that Sansa Stark will end up ruling the Iron Throne. She's probably the least expected from the lot and the stronger characters supporting her like littlefinger, Arya, John Snow will all perish saving her.
Since when did little finger support Sansa Stark? It is enacted clearly in such a way that little finger tries to gain Sansa Stark's trust so that she would "fall in love with him and marry him",which would make little finger "The Warden Of The North" and help him to become the King of Westeros.He is literally only using her for getting what he wants.Also Arya hasn't met her brothers or her only sister after season 1.And,in a scene in season 6 Sansa Stark lies to Jon Snow about Riverrun which kind of jumps to the fact that she doesn't trust her "half brother Jon Snow".
Even If Sansa ends up on the Iron Throne she will not rule for long,as people already hate her because of Joffrey Baratheon/Lannister who she was supposed to marry, as a group of people already tried to rape her in the early seasons.Thanks to Sandor Clegane ,the Hound she was safe.
Not only that,people think that Joffrey was murdered by Sansa Stark and her first husband Tyrion Lannister ,thanks to little finger aka Lord Petyr Baelish ,she was forced to flee the capital which gave room for such rumors to be created.
