Why are my posts being deleted? I posted provable facts and my opinions about them. 1130W (what it's up to now) is *far* more power than the Falcon should be drawing based on what we were told. I'm going to try a 1000W PSU tomorrow to see if it has better efficiency than my 850W. I doubt it will be much lower though.

I'm going to post up an unboxing and setup video tonight.

I'm running .4 KwH for 20 minutes.... 1200watts/hour. My psu is 1200watts and the wires are getting hot. I video taped my unboxing as well, although I found nothing wrong except some scratches on the casing.

edit: deduct 100-125 watts for mobo and idle video card. Sorry...

Plugged in my ZenMiner today, but it would never register on my network.  Finally hooked it up to my PC with the HDMI cable to check it out.  It's asking me to install an OS, and anything I click on says "This will overwrite the current OS".  I do not have an option to exit or boot to an OS.

Did I get an SD card without the ZenMiner OS on it?  Also, the miner never registers on the zenminer site.

Yea that's why I plugged in the freaking HDMI to see what was going on, just had generic raspberry pi login screen.  Has anyone plugged in their HDMI to one that's working to see if it looks any different?

Better to have 100 friends than 100 rubles
Yea it's odd I have 3 of the damn things but none of them are registering....how long did it take the site to recognize your miners?  I've been trying to activate mine now for like 10 minutes =(

Moments, like under 1 minute.

@Gaw CEO talking to Zen Miners:

It would be great if you could ask them to ship working units and have a real support website and not just an email.  I can't get the stupid things to work.  I have 3 of them.  None of them will register online.  When I plug them into the TV with HDMI it just stupidly asks for the raspberry pi login.  This leads me to believe there is no actual custom software on the memory cards, or if there is it's not loaded. I don't know the login or have any help...has anyone figured it out yet?

Thanks

I can't say why your having issues but you will not get any local interface on the Zen Controller.  You can't log into the console and there is not web interface at its IP.  All its doing it talking to the Zenminer site where you setup your miners and pools.

I don't know why an HDMI cable was included, it's definitely not needed.  I got mine to register when it first came up yesterday and had no problems once I connected my Black Widow to it.  I don't know why the 4 digit # is needed, like that can't be falsified with a copied SD card....

I'm not wild about a cloud controller especially since I can't see much data at all, but I've expressed my concerns to them already.

My Fury was shipped a few days late, but GAW Miners_CEO (I don't recall his actual name atm) quickly paid me for my lost mining time (with a little extra!). Payment was made super fast and was in accordance to "or we pay you for your lost mining time" guarantee on their website. Thanks Guys!

GAWMiners once again proving they ARE the standard of service for bitcoin and altcoin mining equipment!

Anyone else getting "Miner Activation Error" on Zenminer's site?

EDIT - I disconnected/reconnected the USB cable, that seemed to do the trick. I also clicked the register button a few times.

Zenminer grabs an IP address, but won't start hashing. What troubleshooting steps do I take?

Glad to see pics going up

Got a favor to ask. I am meeting with the CEO of ZenMiner tonight. I would like to talk about the features our customers want and the order of priority.

Is someone willing to make a form that will allow people to add features and the ability to vote? If possible, we need to do it asap. This way I have it in time for the meeting.

Can anyone please confirm what power connectors the black widow requires? Is it just 2 x 6 Pin PCI-e? or does it need 4 x 6 Pin PCI-E? or 2 x 8 Pin something?

Trying to figure out what PSU I need to buy, if any (I have 2 x 6 Pin PCI-E available)

Looks like 2 PCI-E but I Can't tell since Luke told me that 4 x 6 pin PCIE were needed and I see 2 extra slots in that picture.

2 x 6-pin PCI-e.  You don't need the extra 2 pins.

DHL was sitting in front of my place when I got home.  Grin I  snapped a few pics of my Fury.

It literally took 5 minutes to get the thing mining on the Zen controller. Interestingly my Fury running on Zenminer showes up on my GAW hosted dashboard. There's some kind of connection here.

Zenminer hash rate = 1.3MH/s
Pool hash rate = 1.354MH/s
Reject rate =.59%
Power draw = power brick + Fury = 48 watts (measured with a Kill-a-Watt)

Loves

Fast shipping
Fast setup
Fast hash rate
Free Pi

Hates

Zenminer website incompatible with Lastpass (BOOOO!)
Zenminer website shows virtually no mining information (hash rate, miner type (i.e. Fury, Black Widow, etc.), IP addy, and MAC addy)

Wants

GAW to keep up the good work
GAW to keep providing open source mining software
Zenminer to change a lot of stuff

edit: added reject %

So far I'm not very happy. My Falcon is drawing 1120W which is 230% more than it was originally supposed to be (and well beyond what my 850W PSU should be doing), the connectors are wired incorrectly, the fans are backwards (blowing out instead of sucking in), it ran under 25Mh for the first 10-15 min, and the ZenController is terrible.

Wait, the fans are supposed to blow in?  Mine sucks the air out.

So does mine. Is that right?
It appears that's the way they intended to put them in but it's wrong. The PSU is trying to blow out the back, the fans out the front. You want positive pressure, not negative.

All case fans that I have seen always blow the hot air out the back side.  This allows cool air to be suck in the air vents in to the box.
