this is beyond pissing me off. I tried using the zencontroller and that isnt working. Just sits on searching for zencontroller on the website. and here is my .bat file

cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://power.wemineltc.com:3333 -u user.worker -p x --nocheck-golden --chips-count 64 --ltc-clk 328 -S COM17 (also tried COM4 with and without the slashes)

CGMiner says something like icarnus failed to open COM(Whatever i put in 4 or 17)
Then says All devices disabled, cannot mine

Seriouesly what is the problem? Ive never had so much trouble with a single miner!!!

editted my post and what do you mean add pause to my .bat??

Got my Widow today, how excited I was until I realized it is DOA.... F***!

I am sure GAW will make it right for you. Just a thought what PSU are you trying to run it on?

Brand new Corsair CX750M, I also gave it a try on a RM750.  But PSUs are confirmed to be working... I gave both a try in one of my GPU rig to make sure I didn't get a bad one after the Widow wouldn't start.  As soon as I plug the Widow the PSU refuses to start, if I unplug the Widow the PSU operates as intended (did that with both PSUs), on the positive side the PSU can power the ZenController no problem LOL.

I am having the same problem with my Falcon. Raidmax 850W PSU taken from a working GPU miner will not turn on with any of the ASIC boards plugged in. Even if I connected the ATX and MB plugs to a working system and plug in the ASICs it refuses to turn on. Tried plugging only one board in, same result. PSU chirps and doesn't turn on.

Mine had some physical damage to the back of the case and some loose screws but no visible damage to the boards.

okay  first question I have is who has a working fury/zenminer in hand?

if you do what power does it pull?   what does it hash?

I have played the new gear time over and over and over and over.

I decided to

a ) wait for real world reports on zemminer - gaw miner combo's

next question is their a support thread for this on this site.

It would be in script/alt coins.  but a thread with all of the new gaw miners would be good.

I have no gaw miners justs grid seeds  5 chip  and  blades.

A nice setup thread with the units would be helpful

the fury
the widow
the falcon
the war machine
the zen controller

I am quoting my self   as I am looking for   this idea to take off.

1) the fury  runs at   1.3mh   with 40 watts

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.7007242  from _____TR________

question to _____TR______ what is your power source a brick or an atx PSU with some pcie adapter cords?

I ask because watts  WITH A BRICK would be much higher then with a plat atx psu.  So 40 watts is good if it is a brick  .  Since I think a plat psu with pcie adapters would do 32-35 watts

2) the widow

we have a video and unboxing of the widow here.

http://hoosierminer.com/gawminer-black-widow-unboxing/

looks like a 16.6 mh hash rate But I can read the power meter or the hash rate well

more info please

3) the falcon

4) the war machine

5)zen controller

so please quote and add info to the 5 above.

we can use this to organize  a support thread.

Hi

can anybody please help me I have just received my fury today but no zencontroller yet. I have no idea how to run it with cgminer3.1.1 I have the right driver installed but I do not know how to build a miner. when I had gridseeds I just watched some youtube tutorials and downloaded cgminer and it was ready to use. can anybody please help it will be much appreciated

create a miner.bat file in inside the cgminer folder. Copy the code below into the .bat file and change the pool address, user name and password to match where you want to mine. Open device manager and find the com port of the fury, change the COM port in .bat file to match.

Save and double click the miner.bat file.

example:
cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://us.clevermining.com:3333 -u 1KQxLLQNxgn2upd4TtGbtiRdm3f5UWC9k8 -p x --nocheck-golden --chips-count 6 --ltc-clk 328 -S //./COM4
When you created the bat fie did you change the comport in it. Change com4 to com17
thanks but still having no luck I got cgminer from https://gawminers.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/202184744-cgminer-source-and-config?utm_source=Customer+List&utm_campaign=fe44872274-zenminer-server-status&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_610f65bd5c-fe44872274-130325241
I don't know what else I need to do I soon as I open the bat file it closes again any other ideas? thanks again

Download and insall Silicone Labs CP210 Windows Drivers for the device here:

http://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/pages/usbtouartbridgevcpdrivers.aspx

Reboot and try again.

thanks but already done that. the drive that is installed is silicone labs cp210 com17 still can't get it to work

On the end of the bat file did you change com4 to com17

yes think I have it sorted now the problem was I didn't put the windows file in with the cgminer file wouldn't of figured that out without the pause function many thanks. does anybody how I can post a image to see if this is how it should be?

All you have to is the drop the funny business at the end with slashes on the COM port.  This worked for me

cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://us-east.rapidhash.net:3333 -u FURY -p PASS --nocheck-golden --chips-count 6 --ltc-clk 328 -S COM4

If that doesn't work, let me know and I'll help you out the best I can.

I accept tips!

Try placing the full path to the cgminer.exe in quotes in the .bat file

Example  "C:\....\cgminer.exe"

also you can add "pause" at the end of your bat file to see what it is doing when it opens. Pause without quotes.

@ GAW the power supplies they sent with the furys is getting a little toasty. You might want to ask them to send 6 or 7A instead of 5A Just a heads up.

New user here. First post. Just wanted to extend my thanks to GAW for handling my order issue. It was slow (took 4 days) but theyre busy so I understand.

I had ordered a Fury and sent the BTC requested but Cryptsy(?) took out a fee and sent less than GAW wanted. I didnt notice until there was 10 seconds left on the order that I still needed to send 0.0005 BTC. Luckily they were understanding a let the remaining BTC slide and now I anxiously await my Week 2 Fury!

This will be my first ASIC, looking forward to learning all about this. Its been fun reading everyone experiences the last few days

Thanks GAW!

Heres the black window connector-
Its goes U|SQUARE|SQUARE|U
            SQAURE|U|U|SQAURE

The first U shaped hole on the black widow female wont let me plug a SQUARE into it that is on the corsair male plug

I accidentally plugged my CPU 8 pin plug into it and it went in just fine.  Then I couldn't figure out why my PCI-e ones wouldn't fit.  I think the female plug is actually a CPU 8 pin plug and not a PCI-e

Plug only the 6pin PCIe, not 8, it should start this way.

Correct, that worked for me.

is there a zen miner Q&A  anywhere. I connected my miner and was getting 500+ KHS  when connected to them. When running free willey on my laptop 1300KHS then some.

Not an uncommon issue, but usually easy to fix! Shoot us an email at [email protected] with the details of your issue and we'll get right on it.

and once it is resolved, if it is something a user can fix through configuration, etc., could you post it on the zen discussion thread?  this'll help anyone else who may run into the issue and can ease support.  maybe zen gets a wiki or something for this type of stuff so eric doesn't have to sit on bitcointalk after we compile some good ones. Smiley
@reactor wheres the zen discussion thread. Thanks

@vabchgent  The zenMiner discussion thread is located here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/zenminer-unmoderated-service-discussion-thread-628615

But please note that I cannot address every issue posted to the forums, I will only be able to address issues sent to [email protected]. I've received the email you sent to support and am working the issue, I'll have an answer for your as soon as possible.

Okay thanks for the info and the thread info.
