Congratulations to Schalke. They did it and were promoted again immediately after their relegation.
Werder Bremen also seem to have every chance of being promoted again. But they had difficulties against Aue in the first half. Maybe Bremen didn't think that Aue would play so well or Bremen was too nervous in their head.

Werder Bremen's chances of losing in this game are very low, bookmakers are giving odds of @1.25 in case Werder Bremen wins this game, knowing that Jahn Regensburg has nothing to lose anymore, so they will simply play to fulfill the schedule, and a good chance for Werder Bremen to take advantage and easily win the game


this third place is still very complicated to decide who will occupy in the end, for me Hamburger SV
will win against Hansa Rostock, Hansa Rostock does not have a good defense and they have nothing to fight, they will play to fulfill the schedule

St pauli started the season really well and I actually thought that they might end in the first place at one stage. but that obviously did not happen because they lost their way at the middle of the season.

Hamburger is playing really well right now and they are in a good form. I think they deserve to be where they are right now. They should also win the last match that they have left.

The match between Darmstadt and  Paderborn is also going to be a tough one to predict because both of the teams are really close to each other and towards the top of the table.

This goes to show that Werder Bremen is a team that always lingers even though their opponents keep getting them back down, from the bottom position they have elevated to the 2nd position and they only need to win the Jahn Regensburg match to secure their position to the 2nd spot, and Schalke will win over Nurnberg and they will elevated to the 1st Bundesliga division, and back again for more 1st division matches, I think they need to up their performance on the 1st division if they don't want to get back down to the 2nd Division again because the level of competition in the 1st division is surely different.


St. Pauli was really good in the early days of the season, but Schalke and Werder prove that they can be tough in the late days of the season and can really up their game so much that they will elevate in the 2nd division quickly but that kind of performance I really think they can not do it in the 1st division without a striker that can keep up to the levels of Lewandowski, and Haaland, I wish they can see something like that in the next season,

Hamburger SV is an established team, that can win as well, and against Hannover 96 that could be a possibility,

and yes that match will be a close one Paderborn is a likely team that you can not underestimate, and Darmstadt is also that kind of team, but their drive-in taking the championship is just not much when compared to Schalke and Werder Bremen.

due to today's away win of werder bremen, bremen needs at least 1 point at home against regensburg on the last match to advance to the bundesliga.
the best chance for the third place has hamburger sv who will play in a week in rostock and has the better goal difference of the other clubs. but we have seen the last few weeks, everything is still possible and no club (except schalke 04) can still be sure.

St Pauli casually lost their way at the ending part of the season and that has certainly cost them big time.

I also think that Bremen is surely going to look for a win in the next match because they will look for the security of being in second place. And their opponent is also not too strong so I believe they will be able to win. a

Hamburger should also win their next match.

Darmstadt versus Paderborn is going to be an interesting one because it is going to be e a fight for pride in my opinion for both teams. But Darmstadt steel should look to win this match and hope for the best.

The championship race between Werder Bremen and Schalke moved to the last week. The 2-point difference between them helps Schalke, who is ahead. At the moment, Schalke 04 will most likely be champions and they will return to the Bundesliga. One of the teams I want to see in the Bundesliga is Schalke and the other is Werder Bremen. I will be very happy for them promoting to the Bundesliga.

I have been a firm believer in Schalke because I always thought they can do better than they are doing right now. and they have obviously proved that. they are surely going to be promoted, at least that's what it seems right now. their performance was great and it will be really interesting to see how they perform against the big teams in the Big  League.

I thought Schalke might struggle to get back up in a hurry like Hamburg has after relegation, but they've done it with a revamped squad. Hamburg is most likely to join them after 4 years in the 2nd tier.So happy for Schalke. Such a wholesome, emotionally moving story.
So happy to see Schalke return. I sincerely hope Terodde gets a chance to prove himself in the Bundesliga.

The last games are:
Schalke vs Nürnberg - now with no significance anymore (well, maybe just for the fame to be 1st for Schalke  )
Regensburg vs Bremen - Bremen needs 1 more point to be safely on the 2nd rank. And they have to get this 1 point, otherwise they will sink to the 3rd or even 4th rank due to their worse goal difference. Regensburg is on rank 13, I think Bremen will win this.
Rostock vs Hamburg - Rostock is 12th and not the best team playing at home. Hamburg seems in a good shape after the last weeks, I think they can actually win this.
Darmstadt vs Paderborn - Darmstadt just lost and is now running behind Bremen and Hamburg. If Hamburg wins and Bremen gets 1 point, there is nothing Darmstadt can do anymore. They can hope for one of them to mess up, but then they still need to beat Paderborn, who is not an easy opponent.
Düsseldorf vs St.Pauli - another game which suddenly has no importance anymore. St.Pauli's goal difference is too low to overtake Hamburg or Darmstadt.

It is a pity for St.Pauli, I remember at the half time of the season when they were like 5 points ahead and everybody was so convinced they can make it. They put up a good fight, but they just didn't get enough points in the last months.

Schalke has been able to qualify for the Bundesliga. Only if Werder Bremen can share the points in the next match will they be able to qualify for the Bundesliga. Their next match is against Regensburg. This team is not in good form now but they are strong enough. Werder Bremen must perform very carefully in this match. On the other hand, I put Hamburger ahead for third place in the table. Because their opponent Hansa is not a strong opponent.

the 33rd matchday is now over. werder bremen won 3:0 in aue and has a great chance to be promoted
directly back to the first bundesliga with a win or a draw against regensburg next sunday.
hamburger sv,darmstadt 98 or st. pauli all still have a chance of finishing in 3rd place.
i'm curious to see who will end up with the relegation place.

What a turnaround by Schalke after losing 0-2 to win 3-2 just insane things happening in the finish of bundesliga 2. St Pauli with this loss lost all hopes to get promoted and now they will have to wait next year to try and get promoted. They had a good season but just couldnt pull through in the end

Schalke did it and in such a crazy game. With 0:2 at half time and not giving up, that's why they finally got to the first Bundesliga. St. Pauli did it extremely badly with 2 red cards at the end. They lost the chance with that... no first bundesliga in the next Saison. And the last game will be a fight under 3: Hamburg, Darmstadt and Bremen.

after the first half where st.pauli led 2-0, schalke was able to turn the result in the second half into a 3-2 victory and is the first promoted to the 1. bundesliga.

yea, incredible developments and it will stay exciting until the last minute, no matter the other results tomorrow. just like that Hamburg is back with a realistic.

I expect Bremen to get 3 points tomorrow and Schalke to win vs St.Pauli (the even more exciting outcome would be if St.Pauli wins, then everything would be open between 5 teams)

Then in the last week, Bremen and Dramstadt have home games which they should be able to win. It will depend on Hamburg if they can win in Rostock which won't be an easy task.

oh man, this is a super exciting season. and only on the last matchday will we know 100% which teams will go into the relegation
or which teams will make it into the 1.bundesliga.
but.........wins schalke the game against st. pauli schalke is safe in the 1.bundesliga

The Hamburger match is going on right now they are playing against Hannover and Hamburger is leading in the match as expected but not leading in a very convincing way though. All the actions took place in almost only the first 20 minutes of that match. the score is 2-1 in favor of hamburgers right now.
So, I believe Darmstadt is surely going down the points table after this match.

btw it will be more difficult for Darmstadt it seems because with this it is certain that their points will be left behind now.
But in this match I only look at the incidents that happened towards the end of the game because for me this is more exciting than their play in the intensity of the game

the two games in the 2. bundesliga are now over and darmstadt loses with 1-2 at fortuna düsseldorf.
and if tomorrow hamburg (which i hope not) and sunday bremen win at aue, darmstadt will slide down to fourth place in the table.
bremen can then move up to the 1. bundesliga on their own.
the other friday match between paderborn and sandhausen ended 2-0
thus schalke 04 can also be the first promoted team with a win against st. pauli tomorrow
