And now that we are on the last matchday for the 2nd Bundesliga,

Here are my picks for the Last Matchday highlighted in green are picks

FC Nuremberg VS FC Schalke 04

Stake odds for this game are 3.05 for Nuremberg 3.80 for Draw and 2.12 for Schalke, Right now Felix Lohkemper has hip problems injury while Christopher Schindler, Johannes Geis, and Nikola Dovedan are at risk of getting suspended, for the Nuremberg, while Dong-gyeong Lee, has injuries, while Malick Thiaw and Danny Latza is suspended, and right now Marcin Kaminski, Darko Churlinov, Florian Flick and Rodrigo Zalazar is at risk of getting suspended, I really think this is a real problem for Nuremberg's Nikola Dovedan for getting 4 yellow cards and he is at risk of getting suspended for the game so Schalke 04 still has an extremely good condition team, so my pick will be Schalke,

Werder Bremen VS SSV Jahn Regensburg

Stake odds for this game are 1.24 for Bremen, and 6.80 for Draw while 9.40 for Jahn Regensburg, Right now Jean Manuel Mbom has an injury, and Kyu-hyun Park is suspended, for Bremen, while Marco Friedl, Christian Groß, Marvin Ducksch, Milos Veljkovic, and Ilia Gruev is at risk of getting suspended, while Sarpreet Singh, Alexander Meyer, and Leon Guwara has injuries while Benedikt Saller is at risk of getting suspended, I really think the injuries and suspension is not really important for these match, it is the last match and I think Bremen has some advantage here even though Marvin Ducksch is at risk of getting suspended, Bremen still has Niclas Füllkrug and right now Werder Bremen needed that win and still has the chance in getting that 1st place from the Schalke, and with this match, Werder Bremen will win,

FC Hansa Rostock VS Hamburger SV

Stake odds for this game are 5.20 for Hansa, 4.80 for a draw while 1.53 for Hamburger SV, I really think Hamburger SV will be needing that win to secure the 3rd place for them, while Hansa will be needing to be up the 11th position, but I guess Hamburger SV will be winning this match I think their determination will be out there and they will secure that position like their life is on the line, but my pick is Hamburger winning this,

SV Darmstadt 1898 VS SC Paderborn 07

Stake odd for this game are 1.46 for Darmstadt and 5.20 for a draw while 5.60 for Paderborn, right now Darmstadt's two key players are at risk of getting suspended, and that is Luca Pfeiffer, and Phillip Tietz, while Paderborn has no injuries at all, but even though Luca and Phillip has problems with getting suspended, I think Darmstadt will win this tomorrow,

I don't know how Werder Bremen is going to perform in the Bundesliga but I have good expectations from Schalke. they have actually impressed me a lot and I hope they can continue the good work in the Bundesliga also.
But obviously, the experience in the first division is going to be a lot different than in the second division. they will have to improve and play a lot better if they want to finish at least in the top 10.
In this case I agree, who would have thought that they would perform this well in the game towards the end of the season because from the start they were only under especially during the dominance of St Pauli and Darmstadt and Bremen. but in the last few games they seem to show who the boss is and now they are safe and can prepare themselves to move up to the first caste again

There is no ranking like at the beginning of the league. In the last weeks, the rankings of the teams that will finish the league first and second have changed. When we look at the first weeks, we see a very different ranking than now, but the important thing was to perform well throughout the season.
Schalke and Werder Bremen seem to have been the teams that succeeded Smiley

It also depends on who is still in the team, who is new. In addition, it is not yet clear who the coach will be. Mike Büskens is only the coach until Sunday. But we also have to consider that Schalke and Bremen have experience in the 1. Bundesliga. Therefore, I do not think that both teams will play against relegation again next season. But of course that is not certain.
they have history in bundesliga for several season and it should be difficult for them back and fight againts existing team or even superteam. each team will prepare their best team to get best result in next season, no matter who is the coach now but team management will do the best suitable with their finance power. more fund they have, they will   have position to take good player as team.

fc.st.pauli was hit by the evil april.

No. It was not just the April. It started much earlier. St. Pauli had problems after the winter break. Some important players were injured and the substitutes unfortunately made a bit too many mistakes. In the spring, some players talked to other clubs about a new contract. That also led to unrest in the team. St. Pauli is at place 13 in the table for the second half of the season.

@bct_ail I feel that Schalke shall perform really well in Bundesliga, because they have been preparing for their return since a year now. Furthermore I won’t be surprised if they ended up in the top 6 next season, as their planning is spot on and Schalke player’s will owe it to their fans to give their absolute best, hence I’m bullish on their performance even before the season begins.

Schalke and Bremen just got relegated last year from the Bundesliga. I think both have enough people in their team with Bunsesliga experience who will enable them surviving the Bundesliga season next year. Of course they will need some new players, but they will also have much more possibilities financially in the Bundesliga.
I dont know if the experience from the players of Schalke and Bremen will get them survived in the first german league.
Just look at Stuttgart and i guess i have nothing to say about Greuther Fürth , its diffrent when you are in the first league.
Also the financially will be a bit more expensive as in the second league , there is so much more going on in the background with costs and stuff.

In my opinion, Schalke did play well to win that match but they also missed a lot of chances in that match and made some big and fatal mistakes. Really big mistakes were made by the defense and the goalkeeper gave the opponent a good chance of scoring. Also, Schalke missed some really easy chances to score. otherwise, the score would have been much different.

You are talking about the last game against St. Pauli?  There were almost a sensation and St. Pauli would have won. Schalke came back with the penalty goal. If St. Pauli had won, the last matchday would have been even more exciting.
But St. Pauli played a great season. Unfortunately, the second half of the season was not good enough from them.
Early to mid season st pauli seemed to be running pretty fast and even they held the 1st position in the standings for a long time, but entering the middle of the second half, st pauli slowly began to lose their consistency in the match and made them have to work hard enough to return to the top rank , but unfortunately they failed and now with only 1 game remaining of course it is very impossible for them to get a promotion ticket to the bundesliga next season, schalke and bremen I think have locked their position in the bundesliga next season, while 1 ticket to competition through the play offs might be owned by hamburg because the opponent they face is slightly weaker than darmstadt.

Yes, I was talking about that match. And yes I agree that if st. Pauli did win that match it would have been a lot more exciting to see the next matches, But now I don't think they have any chance. It does feel a little sad to see st. Pauli losing their way like this in the later part of the season. But, I am actually really happy that I am going to see a promotion for Schalke.

yes. this time, fc.st.pauli was hit by the evil april. otherwise, hsv always had to give up many points in april.
but today the hsv has bad news for its fans again.
Anssi Suhonen suffered a serious injury in training yesterday and will miss the last game and the possible relegation matches.
This is of course a great pity, as Annsi has been in very good form lately.
FYI > > Annsi's leg was successfully operated on today!

https://www.hsv.de/news/anssi-suhonen-erleidet-wadenbeinbruch

HSV will be facing Hansa. This is certainly not a hard opponent for them in my opinion but missing Anssi Suhonen is surely going to hurt them in this match. If not for the injury they could have gone with the full power in the last match but that is certainly not possible right now.

Anyway, I am glad that this was not a very serious injury and I hope he will be able to give his 100% very soon.

The Bundesliga teams are very strong. The performance of the second Bundesliga teams is not regular. If Schalke wants to play well in the first Bundesliga then they need to improve their performance. They have to improve their defense. At the same time the team must have at least one experienced striker. Otherwise, Schalke will not be able to survive in the Bundesliga

All games from the last play day will be in parallel on Sunday. I am looking forward to the Hamburg and Darmstadt games (pretty much everything else is decided anyway).

The most important and right step was the dismissal of Dimitrios Grammozis after Schalke lost 3:4 against Rostock. After Mike Büskens was the new coach on matchday 26, Schalke only lost one game. That was 1:4 against Bremen. Sometimes it does not work to change coaches just before the end of the season. But this time it was worth its weight in gold.
at schalke there is a euro fighter coach and not a tactician. the team fights almost as well as in 1997.
but we'll see if it's enough for the first bundesliga. in the first bundesliga it's going to be damn hard for schalke 04.
but they'll definitely get two or three good new players...... will terodde stay at schalke or will he move back to the 2 -league ?   Wink

not only the change of coach at schalke was the deciding factor for the club's direct promotion back to the 1. bundesliga. the change in bremen Anfang/Werner also brought about a different and positive attitude among the players and werder bremen was able to perform very well over a long period of time and are already almost certain to be the second promoted team.

That is right. How could I forget your Bremen team....  Cheesy Wink
At the moment it looks like Werder Bremen will defend the second place and will also be promoted directly. Ole Werner have started at matchday 16 and from place 10. At matchday 20, Bremen was already at place 3 and have since fluctuated between place 1 and 3.
It has to be said, however, that Markus Anfang was not sacked, but resigned.

I think Werder Bremen had a very easy match and everybody did expect them to win because they did play that match against a team at the bottom of the table and it would have been a surprise if they even drew that match.

And yes Markus Anfang did resign,  he was not fired.

Shalke team had a good season especially in the second half although they lost to werder bremen 4 1 they deserved to be promoted ,werder bremen team is not in the top form but they have a relatively easy game, they just have to focus they only need one point to directly get promoted.
