If st Pauli  Does win tonight it will be really interesting. even though Schalke will still be in the second place in the league standings will have the same points as st Pauli.  there will only be at in terms of goal difference. It is going to be really interesting to see which teams are going to finish at the top of the table.

Schalke Is surely going to face some problems going ahead into the league because they are going to really suffer trying to get back the first position that they had.
I really don't think that they played much terribly but they certainly played badly in that match and obviously the defense did look really shaky. 

I have to say Werder Bremen played really well and took their chances well. it was really hard to imagine them greeting than opponent when Schalke had a really perfect form in the last 5 matches.

the result of this match was beyond expectation. Schalke lost 1-4 to Bremen, even though Schalke played at home but they played not as usual.
The battle between the two top teams, but unfortunately Schalke failed to take advantage of the opportunity at home to beat Wender Bremen.

so the winning streak of schalke 04 is broken and if st. pauli should win tonight it will be even more exciting in the top of the table and then there is only one point separating werder (1 place) and st. pauli (3 place)
hamburger sv also wins away 4-2 vs. regensburg and continues to preserve its small chance to perhaps still come to the third place

Schalke against Bremen today - both teams belong for me in the Bundesliga and i think there is an unofficial agreement today. Both want to lose no points and be as safe as possible in the last match days to not end up in 3rd place. The betting odds are okay for the results 1:1 is x7 and 2:2 at x11. Draw is at x3,6. So if I would bet, then i would bet on all 3 a small amount.

In the end Schalke proved their quality and they look likely to make it back to the Bundesliga next season, it's nice to know this as they can come back quickly or just miss a season. I never imagined that teams like Pauli and Regensburg would collapse so much. Regensburg is now ninth on the table and Pauli is third. Schalke's performance at the start of the season was very poor. But now they are at the top of the table. And they have won the last 7 matches. However, Werder Bremen's performance is somewhat irregular. So Pauli and Darmstadt have ample opportunity to continue fighting for second place at the table.

@bct_ail just a while ago it was looking like a bad season for Schalke, and I remember discussing here about their potential, but to be honest I had given up on them so it’s really surprising to see how well they have performed in the last few games. Lastly I feel that Schalke should be able to maintain their position, and it’s also pertinent to note that they have a better goal difference in comparison to the top 5 teams, and that shall give them a psychological advantage in their race to end up in the top spot.

The goal from Schalke was clearly defined from the start on: Promotion. After some difficulties at the beginning and the important change of their coach they have come closer and closer to their goal. Looking at the performance of the last games, it seems that they will reach their goal.

I am a bit surprised how clear those odds are now for Schalke and Bremen. Of course they are on top right now, but we have seen in the past that 1 or 2 bad games can turn the whole situation from bottom to top.

Much will depend on the St.Pauli games on how the situation at the top will be resolved. We'll see St.Pauli vs Darmstadt this week, then after they'll play Nürnberg and Schalke. For St.Pauli to have a serious chance they'll need to win at least 2 of those 3 games.

Darmstadt has 3 "easy" last games, but a loss against St.Pauli this week could ruin it for them beyond repair, so it's kind of an endgame for them already.

Hamburg... I don't see them coming out in the top 3. Even when winning all remaining games, they would depend that the competition plays draws and loses points that way.

Nürnberg only has a chance when winning all 4 remaining games, including the St.Pauli and Schalke one.

It will also hurt the eyes for many people that Schalke is at all active in this competition. It used to be the second best of Germany, and have even played in the Champions League. It is a pity that things have gone terribly wrong with this club. You would actually expect that a name like Schalke would have to be active again at the highest level, but nowadays that offers no guarantees. It was a beautiful weekend. Not only from the weather, but also from the games. Schalke showed their ambitions why they want to get promoted. It was really a top game and even the first half was fun. Terodde and Tietz already showed that they can score goals. Schalke made everything clear in the second half at the beginning. But Darmstadt did not give up but unfortunately did not score any more goals.
