The difference is that Xabi managed a club which incidentally was not a top Bundesliga club at that time, whereas Kompany was immediately chosen to handle a top Bundesliga club and also Europe. Who doesn't know Bayern Munich, even though this season they were replaced by Leverkusen as Bundesliga champions, that doesn't mean that Bayern Munich has been the top club in Germany for a long time.

That's why Kompany is doubtful because of several things. Moreover, usually, Bayern Munich has a top coach who handles it. This is always the pros and cons of Kompany's choice for Bayern Munich. Because there are still many who doubt his credibility and ability to manage a big club as their main coach. But, let's see and let he does his job and responsibility in Bayern Munich. Whatever the controversial, Kompany must do his best to make Bayern Munich much better than previous season.

Last season was a really interesting one  at the bundesliga , there was so much to talk about as the competition there was to notch and got almost all football lovers who care a chance to be able to enjoy the competition amidst their expectations on various teams and what they expect that such team be able to deliver in a day especially on match days.thw emergence of a new champion was the climax of the bundesliga last season.

The new champions of the bundesliga is now like the four runners of. A new erra where apart from Bayern Munich, all other teams are able to equally compete and have a chance to end the season with the league title if only they can do better than others, the dominance ok f Bayern Munich seem to have come to an end and they have got another chance at it which is next season, where they have the options and privilege to contend equally with every class of team in the league and a have equal chances at the league titles aswell by the end of the season.

Leverkusen has done a whole lot for the bundesliga for which winning the league titles has given us  a different insight from that which we know and have been made used to all this while, this will further promote a healthy competition amongst teams in the bundesliga , unlike before when only Bayern Munich and Dortmund where like the only worthy team and others appeared like like an underdog but now it's appearing it's going to be different.

I was surprised when coach Vincent Kompany was appointed coach of Bayern Munich. Coach Vincent Kompany begins a promising new challenge in his career when taking over the giant Bayern Munich. In fact, Bayern only turned to Kompany after missing out on a series of other names to find a replacement for Thomas Tuchel. This decision by Bayern can be considered a shock. This is too risky a move for Bayern. A coach who has just been relegated to the Premier League is considered unworthy of the reputation of the German giant. Because this former midfielder is inexperienced and has not proven his coaching talent at the highest level. Meanwhile, Bayern's board of directors expects Kompany to become the second Xabi Alonso.

Bayern Munich new coach, Vincent Kompany might not reach the standard level of experience the supporters want but it might turn out to be shocking to see the new coach with flying brilliant result next season. We shouldn't underestimate any coach because he's mediocre, remember there's this word called "growth" and everyone have access to it. For instance, check the impressive stats Vincent Kompany did with Burnley and got them promoted to the English Premier League, all the way from championship, it's not an easy task but he managed to levelled them.

A coach who is better and more experienced than Kompany rejected Bayern's offer. If Bayern had a better choice they would definitely not have appointed Kompany. Bayern management was certainly full of calculations when making this decision, where they were ready to take all the risks for next season, even the worst, namely failing to dominate the Bundesliga again.

Apart from that, Kompany will definitely be motivated when appointed as manager of a team like Bayern, he will try hard to give his best. The competition next season will indeed be more competitive, but the managerial strategy will probably be more effective because it has quality players, unlike when coaching Bunrley. Leverkusen will remain the main competitor, where Xabi fleet will also look to continue their unbeaten trend at domestic level.

On the other hand, Bayern actually did not experience any setbacks if you look at the number of points they obtained from the previous season, it's just that Leverkusen was unbeaten throughout the season. It is clear that the pressure and heavy burden will be on Kompany, even though Bayern environment is not so ideal at the moment, for Kompany becoming Bayern manager is a good start to his career.

Don’t judge a book by its cover is the cast of Vincent Kompany and those that see him as a coach that won’t make Bayern Munich great or give them the best result in this coming season. His past coaching career may not have been great, but when given another challenge, it doesn’t mean that he’s going to fail like he did in the previous one. Yes he managed Burnley and got them relegated. It could be that his catching style doesn’t befit the players and needed to use it on more high level and greater players. Why not give him a benefit of doubt so that when the new season begins and begin to propel Bayern Munich in the right way, we won’t have to think that he was never a good option for them initially. Vincent Kompany was a center-back as you said, but I don’t see that Bayern Munich’s problem is the center back, they where just unlucky last season and couldn’t match the effort that Bayern Leverkusen have put in than them.

What I will say is that time will tell, because to me, I think it is a nice idea to see the abilities of those upcoming young coaches, but for Vincent Kompany, I think he already has more experience in leadership, and at the same time, he has experience as a player, so what will you expect from him, good or bad? I know many fans will criticise the decision of Bayern Munich, but why not wait and see what will happen under the management of Vincent Kompany? 
 
Manchester City will know the potential of Vincent Kompany because he was a captain in the team, and I am very sure they will testify to his ability of leadership, highly defensive skills, and overall which is the goal scoring, which are things that Bayern Munich needs. To me, I see no fault in Vincent Kompany, we just need time to see what he can do.

To be fair, Vincent Kompany is an okay coach; he is not near elite or good coach and till today I wonder why Bayern Munich has taken such a gamble with the young manager who is in his probably 4th season as a manager. The results has been a promotion of burnley to the epl and also a relegation back to the championship

With Bayern Munich squad ageing, low on recruitment and also imbalance politically after the issues in the background with nagglesman, tuchel; I do not think the environment and pressure is good for a young inexperience coach like Kompany

But the fact that they signed Vincent Kompany after receiving refusals from many other coaches (if I’m not mistaken, we are talking about 9) raises certain suspicions. I'm not saying he's good/bad (I don't have an opinion on him yet) but he certainly wasn't their first priority when they were looking for a coach. It is all the more surprising that the contract with him is quite long-term, but apparently there are clauses (about results) that allow it to be terminated early.

Vincent Kompany is a good coach with a good record, and I am sure that he is a good fit for Bayern Munich now. Due to their performance, they actually need more attention on their performance, and many have eyes on them because their performance this season is not encouraging for a bit. Many people expect more from them, but they were not able to do that due to their weakness in performance, which I can say is their biggest weakness is that back and if we look into history, Vincent Kompany was a centre-back player then and has been a captain before, so he will definitely tackle the issue of Bayern Munich because, at the start of next season, all we are to do is wait for a new revelation of Bayern Munich under Vincent Kompany management. 

They have full confidence in Kompany. Xabi did such things in his first season that now teams expect high things from every future coach. What Xabi did will remain a legend. They are the only teams in the history of the Bundesliga to finish the season undefeated. Although this may seem easy, it is a very difficult record. They finished the season ahead of Bayern and became champions. I'm sure Bayern is already making plans for next year.

Yes, I respect your opinion who really believes in Bayern Munich, but believe me, all Bundesliga club fans want the next title holder not to be Bayern Munich but another club that makes the Bundesliga interesting and not boring.
Last season, we all believed that after Harry Kane joined Bayern Munich, this club would definitely get a very strong, unbeatable performance and was even predicted to win the Champions League title, but in the end all the titles failed to get, not according to our expectations and this could happen again in next season, especially after Bayern Munich brought in a coach who does not have much experience.
So will we still have hope for Bayern Munich after we look back on last season?

Talking about Dortmund, it seems like they could also have a big chance of winning the Bundesliga title, but for almost 10 seasons, Dortmund has always failed to compete with Bayern Munich and only ended up in 2nd place in the points table.
We'll see in the first 7 - 10 matches of the season if Dortmund and Bayern Munich can get superior points, these two clubs have a big chance, but if from the start of the season Leverkusen dominates the points table, it looks like Leverkusen can overtake Bayern Munich again.

Bayern Munich aren’t so inexperienced to have brought a coach to manage the team without them seeing some potentials in him as the coach of the team. It may still look unbelievable and not something convincing to believe that Kompany will do well for the team as their new head coach, but that will tell if they’ve made the right choice now or not. I would also grade Kompany on a low level cadre to have been able to get this job offer from Bayern Munich but since the decision is coming from a renowned club like Bayern Munich, I’m convinced to believe that they’ve not made any mistake to have chosen him as the new head coach of the team. When season begins, we will see how things will transpire in the club for good or worse.


There is a lot of pressure that comes to managers that are managing already successful teams when the team are in need of good result to remain at that top level. So it becomes very hard for them to scale through in the midst of this much pressures coming to them. When signing coaches like this for a big task like this one, they should be giving more time before they can finally access their result with the team. Just one trial is not enough to say a coach is bad and can’t manage a club.

There no way I would want to think that kompany isn't aware of the task ahead at Bayern Munich before accepting the job offer, even if he wasn't the first choice, he's now their coach and has accepted the job with all of that which comes with it aswell. I want to believe that Kompany understands everything thing around the team to a fair extent because all of that will be made available to him before accept the offer.

Sometimes it's not even about what the expectations are because that will only amount to exerting more pressure on the coach, it may be that management are looking forward to seeing the team achieve a particular thing and if that is done, the criticism from outside bade on their own expectations may not matter a lot, with Bayern Munich, a major expectations from the management will most likely settle around the dominance of the team in the bundesliga and their abilities to get the bundesliga title again this new season of which it may not really matter if they don't win the champions league.

Winning the champions league is a dream of most European teams of which I know Bayern Munich isn't an exemption, I know that it's in their dream to win the champions league some day too but what I may not really be certain about will be their abilities to win it under the management of kompany, he's not experienced in the champions league well enough to lead Bayern Munich to winning it but he may try at the. Bundesliga.

I don't think I'm talking about Kompany being a bad coach, it's just that he clearly lacks experience, let alone managing a team at the level of Bayern Munich. Apart from that, I also appreciate Kompany that previously he was able to bring Burnley into the Premier League even though he failed to stay in the competition. but at least, his track record has brought Burnley to compete in the Premier League. So what I said before, that's Kompany's track record as far as I learned from his profile. So we agree, the decision has been made anyway. My previous assumption was that if he didn't live up to expectations then his career with Munich wouldn't last long. However, if Kompany is able to utilize his momentum and a fairly capable squad, perhaps he can restore Bayern Munich's glory. although, it looks like it will be a big challenge for this Belgian coach. plus, he is still young and some Bayern players have quite strong egos. It was the hierarchy within Bayern Munich that resulted in Nagelsmann being fired, and Kompany must learn from this.

By the way, if I refer to transfermarkt, Kompany has a preferred formation pattern that is his mainstay, namely 4-2-3-1. who is not much different from previous coaches, it's just that we don't yet know the system and strategies he will implement. However, if he has potential that can be developed, he has momentum with the team squad he is currently in charge of. After all, Bayern has a fairly capable source of players. plus, it's likely the club will bring in some newcomers in the transfer window. Well, I won't say like you regarding expecting Bayern to become champions again or not. but more about Kompany's performance when managing Bayern, and playing his matches after the Bundesliga started.

Bayern Munich were too fast in appointing Vincent Kompany as the club's manager like they rushed the whole process and am still wondering what was their intentions for hiring Vincent Kompany because Bayern Munich just ended the Bundesliga in a very bad way of which they are hoping to do better next season, now that they went and hired Kompany how can they be able to do better than last season since Vincent Kompany hasn't managed any big team and even Burnley where he coached previously has just been relegated so i don't know how they can do the magic of winning the Bundesliga next season with Kompany as their manager but however, let's see how he can make a difference for Bayern Munich and if he does then that would be a new beginning for the Manchester city former player Kompany.

Am not aware that there were coaches that rejected Bayern Munich's offer for managerial role before they sought the service of Vincent Kompany but if any coach rejects such offer then I wonder what could be the cause because Bayern Munich is literally a well known club that any manager will be proud to become manager of such a great club.

I believe he will do his hardest to win the Bundesliga title for Munich next season, because no coach wants his first season to go poorly. Bayern Leverkusen will be unable to compete with Bayern Munich next season because Munich will be well prepared, and I am confident that Harry Kane will win his first trophy with Bayern Munich next season. Because last season I think Munich will win the title and unfortunately Bayern Leverkusen didn't realize in the competition and they get the opportunity and win the trophy other xabi Alonso, and he will try to repeat the unbeatable next time but I am sure he can't happen in the league next season because many clubs are buying players to make their team stronger in the league competition. Dortmund is in terrific condition and will strive to reach the Champions League final against Real Madrid and they will undoubtedly play well against Real Madrid. Let us see who will receive the opportunities next season and I am confident that the Bundesliga title will not be Leverkusen this time, but Dortmund or Bayern Munich.

I believe that Bayern Munich will not stop with just a managerial change, we can't expect Kompany to take the same exact team and make them champions, which could very well happen if Leverkusen starts to be bad, Napoli won the league with ease last year, was horrible this year, although they changed their manager.

I think Leverkusen will lose, but not because they will suck, but because Bayern will end up getting some insanely great players as well, if that happens we are going to end up with a better team and in that case Kompany could do better. If you give him a worse team then of course he will lose, but if you give him a great team then he is going to get you some achievements, talent beats anything else at all times, so get talented players.

Some coaches still have contracts with their current clubs, and some coaches may not want to take the pressure of being the manager of one of the world's best clubs. Or because Munich management has a target of becoming Bundesliga champions again, which I don't think many coaches will want to take the risk of being called a bad coach?

There must be reasons behind the veteran manager's refusal to take over at Bayern Munich. Every season we see that if Bayern Munich don't do well, they change the manager at the end of every season because they give the full responsibility to the manager. For a manager to be given the job and dismissed on the basis of his performance in one season, it must be a matter of self-respect, and it is largely because of that self-respect that experienced managers have turned down Bayern Munich's offer.

Kompany is not a skilled or experienced manager, but Bayern Munich are forced to rely on him because they have no other offer. At least they can't manage a team without a manager.
