3 ants will push it but should be doable. I wouldn't overclock though.

Currently running 4 ASICminer Cubes with them, thinking about dumping the cubes on EBay next week. How many Antminers can I run off my 2 850w PSUs? Is it possible to run 3 Ants between 2 identical PSUs? My impression is each blade only pulls what it needs, or they act independently in terms of drawing power.
I'm not a hardware guy, so please, by all means drop some knowledge if you can.

I use Artic F12 PWM fans. One on each end both blowing in. Make sure it can breath freely from the bottom, e.g. a wire shelf or little block in the 4 corners.
42C sounds good but it really depends on the ambient temperature as to how cool you can run. At this moment mine are ranging from 38 (out in the cold garage) to 51 (inside in between 2 others).

Yep, you only need to buy an antenna, because is not included (there are a plenty cheaper antennas on amazon)
I don't know if this has been covered already but is it possible to connect an Antminer directly through the ethernet port on a macmini running Ubuntu 12.10 and use the mini's connection to connect to the mining pool? The mini is serving as a dedicated computer for the rest of my mining equipment.
The macmini would need to act as a network router. To be honest; I don't think it's what you want, unless you have an Antminer U1 (USB type Antminer).The Antminer S1 has a built-in contoller (CPU) and it's already a computer dedicated for Antminer's sha-256 mining operations. All it needs is to reach (via network interface) the "internet" so it can reach a mining pool and submit shares per your mining worker's credentials.

I see. I don't really know anything about md5 checksums but I guess I don't see why they would be different if you downloaded the whole zip file vs just the individual file.

You're welcome and good to hear your Antminer is working well. MD5 checksum is way to compare 2 files. If 1 byte is different, the MD5 checksum values will not match for each file. The one I have in the video is the right checksum which is also shown during the upgrade process to have the same MD5 checksum. Enjoy the Antminer!

So you are on the latest Feb firmware, but something is still wrong if it won't accept new .bins to flash. Unfortunately I don't know the deep details on the WRT OS, but those over in the Avalon thread will. If you link to some of the information you've already given me here, they should be able to work out what's going on.

I checked youtube for an in depth firmware flashing guide to see if I was doing something dumb wrong. I don't think I was, but the guide had me download the entire zip file from github then copy out the bin to a folder on my computer. When I used that file instead of just the single file I downloaded from github it worked fine and is now mining.
I have no idea why that worked but the single file didn't but at this point I'm just happy it's working!

I'm the guy who made the youtube video on upgrading the Antminer S1 firmware, lol. I know you're happy now, but if you have some free time, check the md5 checksum on the file that worked (from the zip) and the single file that didn't work.

To me that looks like what happens when machine code is just derp'ed. Try resetting once more to factory defaults and entering stuff. If not, flash the latest firmware and try again. https://github.com/AntMiner/AntGen1/tree/master/firmware

I tried both antMiner_openwrt20131226.bin and antMiner_openwrt20140207.bin and got the same error.
