Hi,

Each S1 Antminer has 2 X 6 pin PCIE connections. One connection per blade.

The reasonable declaration for E.U Customs means that Bitmain convert the BTC price you paid him to USD ( U.S. Dollars ) and declare that on the Customs form. This means you will have to pay your Countries import charges based on that Dollar value.

For the E.U. they declare full value for what you have paid. They will not declare a lower value for E.U. Customs.

Your English is just fine.

Thanks man.

So for psu with 1x6pin I can use molex to 6pin adapter to second connector?
Also the wifi port is normal RP-SMA connector?

20% additional price sucks.  Sad

NO. You can't use a molex connector, it will cause a fire. Normal wifi

It is my understanding that a 6 pin pcie is only rated to supply 75 watts of power, or a total of 150W for two connections. Please help me understand - how does this work if these devices are pulling ~400 watts?

You understand wrong. Modern GPU cards use more power than that and only have 2 PCIE power connectors.

+1  6pin connector=75 watts-8pin connector=150....add together,75+150=225....Most cables have 1 of each on them.

So if you just use the 6pin your cable will be able to support 225 watts, but the cable & PSU is actually capable of up to 300 watts safely(assuming min AWG of 16-14,I think that gauge is correct)  Cool

DO NOT USE ADAPTERS!!!!!!!!!!! ONE CABLE PER BLADE ONLY!!!!!!!!!   Wink

One of these will power one Antminer just fine,OC'ed even  Grin

But most of them have an 8 pin pcie which is rated to supply 150 watts. For example in my farm I have mostly 7950 gpu's that have 1 8pin and 1 6pin pci. They get 150 watts + 75 watts which allows 225 from the PCIE connectors - then they can also pull another 75ish watts direct from the motherboard.

I guess I'm trying to understand how much wattage can safely be pulled from a 6 pin pcie if it is only rated for 75 watts.

Just ordered two of these and can't wait to receive them.

Next step is the PSU. I reckon the best approach is to just buy two separate Corsair 750W psu, e.g.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008RJZQSW/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B008RJZQSW&linkCode=as2&tag=st066-20

How much actual power do they pull (in watts) if the unit is overclocked. Asking to see hows the ROI looking right now
on your mains voltage, ~550-600

Thanks

So about 14 hours ago I had one of my S1s die, no link light on the Ethernet port on the S1, no hashing LEDs on either blade (no clicking either), just silence with a slow flashing green LED and a solid red LED on the controller board. I tried resetting it with the reset button (I had to do that once before due to a network misconfiguration).

I'm fairly certain the OpenWRT board has died on this Antminer. I've already contacted Sushi about replacing it (since they're only about a month old), however in the mean time, since each blade acts independently, is there a way to connect one or both blades from one S1 to the control board of another one? I've taken a look at how they're wired, and it looks like the controllers are only designed with the one input, and they may lack the processor capacity to functionally use more chips, but anything to reduce my downtime would be assistive!

Has anyone managed to salvage a control board, and if so, how? I see the board has a JTAG interface, and I was thinking about poking around with a debugger, but I don't really know what I'm doing at that point (I guess if I could get to the shell I could run dmesg to see if there are errors, but I don't even know if the board is booting at this point).

Any help would be appreciated! Hashing downtime negatively affects my chances at ROI in a very real way.

Really? So for psu to be compatible it needs to have 2+ 6pin pcie connectors?
Yes.

I use a Corsair RM850 for mine. They are modular and come with a bunch of PSU to PCIE leads. They are the quiet no fan running at less than 40% use and peak efficiency of 92% at around 40% use. I've never seen the fan run yet. They also have full 850W and 70.8A available to the 12V rail.

Just get a good branded make as cheaper ones don't cut the mustard.

3 ants will push it but should be doable. I wouldn't overclock though.

So basically, I can split an Ant between 2 of these? Each PSU has 4 PCI-E cables, pretty sure the explanation is clear enough with just text, but if a diagram helps let me know. No plans to OC.

Would be like this:
Ant1
PSU a

Ant2
PSU a & b (cable from each)

Ant3
PSU b
This is absolutely fine as there is no actual crossloading. Each blade in an S1 acts independently when it comes to power so you're essentially powering 3 miners on PSU a and 3 on PSU b.

Problems can happen when people power one miner with two PSUs due to crossloading issues.

Just to make sure before ordering..

Is there one or two 6pin connectors per 180ghs/360w unit?

What does this mean? I'm in EU and English is not my native language.

"The Declaration For The Customs: Reasonable Value Declaration is for EU customers."

Will they put a cheaper price on the package to avoid high import taxes?

Awesome threads dogie, awesome!

I bought these two to power 3 OC'ed ants:

SeaSonic G-750 SSR-750RM 750W  - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151132 $80 after rebate

CORSAIR CX series CX750 750W - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139040 $70 after rebate.

I think that should work.
You're asking 1800 theoretical watts [although from the wall] from 1500W of PSUs. Even assuming 90% eff and 110% running capacity (which is actually peak), you're right on the limit.

That configuration is really close to the limit.

Hum I thought at Oc'ed Antminer takes around 400 to 440 watts? I read 400 a bunch of times and some people saying up to 440.
