ok I burned the image to a new microsd and got the same result
then when I tried to upgrade (Reinstall) the latest firmware from their support site (I tried the tar and the .sd) - I got this error:

(initramfs.bin.SD-20140410.tar)

System Upgrade Failed

mount: mounting /dev/mmcblk0p1 on /tmp/847.boot failed: No such file or directory umount: can't umount /tmp/847.boot: Invalid argument
I have the same problemwith one S2 now.
Has this been fixed anywhere?

I'm not sure what you mean by 'reinstall'. You used an image burner to unpack the image onto the SD, then what?

How much does it cost powering 1 S2 / month? thanks

728kWh. Usual price is about $0.15 per kWh, so $109.

ok thanks so much. Well, its 0.13 € here where i live, so that would be for 31 days, ~68 EUR / month.

Not bad.

And earnings for 1 month? If someone here already has S2 since 1 month, how much did you earn mining BTC / month? just to know.

If someone could also donate me an antminer S2 coupon for bitmaintech... Smiley My username is: oskuro

Thanks again

Its totally speculative. The mining speculation subforum can help with that.
The past isn't speculative at all.

From ~ 29-Apr to 5-Jun (3 diff changes) an S2 should have made ~2.07BTC

The future however ...

I assumed he was asking about the future, otherwise it wouldn't make sense.

Hi, I just bought an s2 yesterday and was wondering if this was normal:

-919 gh/s at the pool (btcguild) 1000 gh/s at the unit
- 5.6% reject rate (difficulty 128)

Seems fine. Up the difficulty to 1024 though.

Does anyone know if the BeagleBone Black in the S2 is stock ? (same as if you buy from another vendor)

Any hardware mods to make it force boot of the microsd instead of the onboard storage?

OK...FML

I have S2 installed and running like a charm.
Plug in, power up. It mines right off the bat to the default pool. No problem.

Change pool, port, UNPW etc to my stuff...

Stops mining. Nada... wont mine... ziltch. HMMM...

So I do reset. And it starts mining to default again.

So, I just change the info in the conf window in the failover pool, not the main pool.

Stops mining.

FML.... If I alter the configuration window in any way... it stops mining....

Damn.

Any ideas?

Please help
Screenshot of your config page after you've tried to edit something please. Also your image link is dead.

Averaging 960GHS on an new S2 after 1D8H uptime...about normal?

I noticed my average is lower on p2pool then on ghash.io ( I was averaging 1003GHS)
P2P will always be lower

Thanks for the info.

One of my cooling fans shows 0 r/min,
although all 4 seem to be working anyway, also no temp problems.
Can it be a software issue?

See if a restart fixes it. If not, try swapping two fan 3 pin headers and see if the 0 rpm moves. If it doesn't its the header on the board, if it does its the fan.

Either way, doesn't mean anything.

has anyone managed to resolve the issue of not being able to change the default password from the interface yet?

I'm not positive it's resolvable in this iteration of firmware.  Are you wanting to put your hardware on a DMZ?

This. This firmware is barebones super cut back, and it does do the job (mining). There are things that could improve, but the fact they've not been fixed probably suggests something else is drawing their attention.
