hello there don't know if this is the right section but what are the 400gh babyjets worth these days are they worth about 900 now used or what? Also does anyone know where or have any diagram of the alum stand off that the hash fast boards connect to the pc case and can we just get the standoff to put our own GN chips in customer pc's thanks.

I didn't order a BJ but have a Sierra which I've taken apart and  is basically 3 BJ boards. I found while testing that the RPi is not good for hashing the BJ boards.

I've noticed whenever the fan kicks into high gear, the RPi freezes. I am guessing it's some sort of power feedback from the BJ board to the RPi via USB cable. Once i moved to a Laptop the issue is resolved but I do get occasional System Errors on Ubuntu. The System Error occurs only when the fans kick into full gear (this would normally freeze the RPi) but the system automatically recovers and continues to hash. I do get some USB errors reported in cgminer.

I've tried putting a USB hub between the RPi (and laptop) and board and this made no difference.

rPis are just not adequate no matter how you configure it. Just about anything is way better. We actually bought some Intel Nucs, loaded Ubuntu and they run great. They come with 3 USB connections and are a small form factor. You can find them pretty cheap on Amazon or Ebay. These have become my favorite controller.

I think I figured out why my BJ stopped hashing all of a sudden.

Anyone know how I should go about replacing it?

Secondly, if not, does anyone know how to jumpstart the 1000XP psu?  I'm interested in at least using it to power some antminers but putting a paper clip in the typical holes on the 24 pin socket (where the green/black wire goes) doesn't work.

Is anyone having problems getting there babyjet to work with the PI. My pi freezes every 10 mins or so and just stops mining. I moved to a windows machine but would like to get the pi working.

My Pi died after 10 days. HashFast send me a new SD card, but it turned-out to be a bad SD reader. HashFast sent me a new Pi, but I'm not using it--Ubuntu is less of a hassle.

hmm, interesting. Well I didnt notice anything with the fans and the pi. From trying many images it has to be my Pi or my Unit. I tried the regular hashfast image which did not work, then I tried regular minepeon with the newest version and then tried minepeon an old version and all seem to have the same problem. Any suggestions?

My babyjet keeps getting USB errors all of the sudden with rasp pi.

I tried to use a Ubuntu installation and run this command with the firmware:

sudo ./field_firmware_update.py

but it doesn't work.  What's the process to manually update the firmware?  Thanks.

That is all you need to do

Code:
sudo ./field_firmware_update.py

In your terminal, you are in the correct folder that the field_firmware_update.py python script is extracted to, correct?

This company's rating has changed in the Manufacturer Trustworthiness Guide.

Thanks for the update. A D+ is still way too generous for this 'company' imho.

MPP scheme soon to be shipping

MPP should have shipped at the end of the 3 Month MPP window which started Nov 1 2013. Instead Batch 1 customers will maybe see something at the end of June 2014. And that is a big maybe given the fact that HF has defaulted on every promise they made so far. MPP in June (or more likely July/August, a full year after the order) is a slap in the face. It will be nothing more than a power sucking paperweight to remind customers of how hard HF screwed them over.

My MPP letter said they would be sending Evo boards in the amount of 1.6 TH/s, instead of BabyJets, claiming they're faster.

When I challenged them, HF responded, saying the Evo boards were only an "option", and asked me to confirm that I wanted BabyJets, instead of Evo boards. I asked them how the Evo boards are a better deal, it they're rated at 800 GH/s, instead of 400 GH/s, and come without PSUs, cases, fans, cooling systems, or USB connections.

I'm still waiting for a response. At this point, I have lost interest. Even if they do ship 1.6 TH/s in June, they won't even cover the electric bill . . .

i'm on 0.4 and for the past few days it just keeps dropping to ~20 GH/s after going for a hours a couple of hours at most. i usually end up with usb errors and need to reboot the host to get regain hash rate. initially it was dropping hash rate after just a few minutes, but dropping the clock to ~350 MHz allows it to hash for longer (also set fans to 90-99 as temp was near 90C at default clock). i'm wondering if my heatsink might not be on right anymore (recently move the machine). fuck this pos.

Yikes! What hash rate are you getting at 350? Pulling the heat sink off and reattaching is definitely a good idea. You need to clean everything very carefully and make sure you reattach with the right amount of thermal compound. One other thing you have to be careful of is not tightening down too much or you will warp the board.

Would almost be happy you have a machine. Thousands out there dont even have that. But wasnt the "cardboard" fix suppose to resolve that issue. Would almost pull the card from the machine and host on another computer that is running correctly.

Was there ever a .05 firmware update?

Is there anybody out there? Nod if you can hear me...
Nod, there was.

Sweet! Thanks, Con. Anybody have a link to the latest HF firmware? I apologize if it is staring me in the face.
Honestly, if you're on 0.4, I'd recommend staying with it.

Will do. Thanks.
