So with the new 4.1.0 cgminer these 2 lines are what I get spammed after 10secs:

HFB 0 HFGetHeader usb read err:(-1) LIBUSB_ERROR_IO
HFB 0 attempted reset got err:(0) LIBUSB_SUCCESS

No errors like this with 3.11.0. Firmware issue? I still have original firmware from batch 2 shipment.

Try the .4 firmware; it helps reduce LIBUSB errors.

Any updates on the new FW .5 , ?

Just got the upgrade kit.. boy the new single 120x38mm fan for the single radiator is loud. Anyone know what mounting these things take? It looks like Intel attachment arrangement so any watercooler should be fine, yes?

I'm thinking of getting some 280mm radiators with 140mm fans.

You may use any standard ATX watercooling arrangement as long as it has enough cooling capacity for the ASIC.

The fan/radiator mount holes at the bottom of the case are industry standard.

what version did you get? Did they ship the new evo board?

4.1.0 + FW 0.3 is the most stable for me -- since running both my miners with these there have been zero shutdowns.  4.1.0 also seems to produce less HW errors.

If I upgrade to FW 0.4, cgminer 4.1.0 shuts down cores for being bad ("squelching"), which seems to result in me losing hashrate.
I guess you can try the --hfa-noshed option with 0.4. It doesn't entirely disable the squelching but may leave more intact. I think they're false positives in that firmware to be honest.

Did anyone find the self updating rPI image not work for them?  I plugged in the HDMI cable and the image boots up archlinux but then shuts down on its own despite having the BJ plugged in.  No mention of any flashing of the firmware at all.

same here as well.  im not sure if it got updated and i dont know how to check my firmware version.

Same thing happens to me...
I updated the firmware with the update utility, from my laptop. It worked like a charm. I have yet to plug in the replacement Pi from HashFast.

New version of cgminer - 4.1.0 - with dramatic stability and performance improvements for these devices, along with new features. This version will work with all older firmwares as well:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.5581480

The cause of the regression in performance was found and this should outperform any previous cgminer releases.

Wow huge improvement with 4.1.0 so far. Thank you.

Id have to agree, I noticed my miner seems to be running more stable and around a constant speed +/-10ghash. It used to move 50 ghash.

Since that they have the chips in hand, i'm quite sure that the customers would be more than happy to pay for the manufacturing costs of the PCB themselves if that meant faster shipments.

That is obliviously not the case. God knows what they are doing with those chips.

And yes, i agree with the "two boards is better than four" thing, they will once again use the ambiguity of their terms in their favour.

Any status on MPP that are now over a month late?

Quote
However, as some customers were starting to try to point out, this wasn't going to be the case; every evidence (or lack thereof) was pointing towards the worst: the first miners would have been shipped just before the end of December contractual deadline, and the MPP was a bad marketing joke, given the lack of a shipping timeframe.

http://hashfast.org/

Nice job on the wiki cedivad!

And yes, I think the plan for MPP is to wait until the new EVO PCB is done. If they can sell and market it as 800 GH/s they will only have to ship 2 boards instead of 4 based on the older PCB which will be a lot cheaper for HF. Of course it means more delays. And since there is no deadline they are likely to prioritize all existing and new orders over MPP.
