It's impossible if someone doesn't regret in the gambling game because no matter how much money a gambler has when they experience a big loss, there must be regret that they will feel.
No matter how great a gambler is, they cannot really accept every loss that occurs.
As a gambler, I also have an understanding and awareness that defeat must occur and have become the most dominant part of gambling, but when I lose because of my own mistakes, a feeling of regret arises by itself and cannot be avoided.
It's true, as you said, regretting losing at gambling is something that every gambler can experience. Regardless of how much they lost, the regrets would still linger. It's okay to regret losing, but what must be avoided is the impact of these losses, especially if they lose in large numbers.

Most of us gamble for money, in fact it is very rare that we find a gambler gambling for fun. But as long as we are responsible for whatever is the consequence of gambling, then the bad effects will likely be minimized.
Regret for a detrimental action is a human attitude so it cannot be said that one should not regret their loss.
Usually the impact of losses is chasing wins to be able to return the amount of money that has been lost and this is a gambler's biggest mistake.

Well, it all depends on each other's goals and as long as there are still limitations or controls that can be controlled, then any risk can be minimized.

Almost all people feel a sense of regret after losing and it is quite normal because we lose some of our money. The main thing is that the feeling of regret should not turn into an obsession to try to win back the lost money as in most cases such ideas lead to even greater losses. As I have said many times to protect yourself from losing money that is needed for other purposes is very important to learn to limit your budget for gambling and play only on the money that is not sorry to lose.
But in reality regret will actually be an incentive for a gambler to have a higher option of being able to win games or bets.
Awareness and calm thinking must be possessed by all gamblers so that they don't act wrongly which could actually make the condition even worse.

Gambling is not merely a game of winning or losing; it involves staking one's money.
Thus, there's winning and losing because it involves money.

The guy is talking as if he was force to come play, it actually involved staking of money but nobody put a gun at your neck to stake the money, the better is willing to take a risk because he knows there is chance of winning and there is also a chance of losing, there is nothing to be complaining about if indeed the player is a calculative risk taker and as bettor, if you know your ways, your winning will be more than what you staked because there is no way to gamble without any loss but with a good skill in strategies, money will be made no matter what.

Many gamblers deeply regret their losses after gambling and squandering their funds.
This is true and the reality that everyone is being set. We do know that whenever we gamble, the anticipation of winning and losing is there and mostly, we think that we're about to lose. By then, we try our best to recover our losses but that's how where our emotions are being played with by the situation. In the end, we feel bad of how we lose and why we didn't take the money when we're able.

Guilt will only come when the player have so much interest in using that money and the player used it to stake, this where the guilt comes in because when the ticket fail, anger and how to recover the money start to ring on the head and gamblers that often end in this situation become gambling addictions.

Yes, I know what you mean, the only thing is that many like casinos, others like to smoke, others like alcohol and others like drugs, of all the drugs that I would never recommend doing or trying are because that is seeing how a human being is lost, I think that it is the most rotten thing that exists that a human being becomes nothing, I know that some drugs are used for medicine, others to cure, but to a degree under optional judgment made by a doctor, however, since there are many forms of "fun", I believe that all of them in excess are bad.

Whoever drinks alcohol will bring Problems to his life if he doesn't control it , because it can take him to a very ugly critical point Those who like to smoke know that they are killing themselves, I think it goes without saying much , but in a casino No , a casino can give fun and money at the same time, but if you don't relax and take things well, everything It can get out of control, that's why you Always have to be 18 years or older for these Games , because you are under the full Responsibility of the Person.

I have seen how in some families they quit because of alcohol , and I have seen how a person's smoking makes his family suffer a lot because he dies of lung cancer or something like that, so everything under an eighth scheme is what else should be done, when we are 18 years old , we know what we are doing , we know what we are going for , there is nothing to do but do things right to guarantee a good Old Age..

An excess of anything is bad. As the great Paracelsus once said, the dosage is what makes the poison. A person could die from drinking too much water or eating too much food. We are all responsible for our own discipline and knowing our own limitations. We cannot simply say "alcohol is at fault or gambling or some other bad habit is at fault" when the truth is that we ourselves are at fault.

And sure, drinking any amount of alcohol or smoking any amount of cigarettes can be considered to be bad for your health but we need to weigh the bad over the good. And if you know your limits and can indulge in a bad habit without losing control then I say go ahead and have fun. Nobody cares if they live to 100 or only 90 anyway.

I enjoyed reading your post because there is a lot of truth to it, but it falls short of relevant research findings. To say that an alcoholic is to blame for drinking alcohol or a smoker is to blame for smoking or, for the matter of this thread, a gambler is to blame for gabling is an incomplete shortcut for the truth. People with exposure to any of these negative things during their childhood are differently programmed in their brains than people growing up under normal and wholesome conditions. The issue is that it might take them too much time to understand that their disposition to exaggerate any of those bad habits does actually exist within them. They find out once they are already in a problematic situation. But that is when society judges them and they feel shame to look for help and consult doctors. As much as many think that they are the only ones to blame, i also think that it is time for society to acknowledge that some have a harder time than others to get back control over themselves and that stigma can be as bad as the addiction itself because stigma keeps the addiction alive as people decide against medical treatment.

Losing certainly feels bad. I know the feeling of losing a lot of money due to my stupidity but that has not stopped me from losing even more money in the all-too-near futures after that. Just put it out of your head and not dwell on it too much. Otherwise you start thinking you can win your loss back but end up losing more money...

You're right, I think we've all experienced at some point that things like this, losing because of a bad move feels ugly, sometimes with sadness, anger, of course that turns into remorse with the desire to have a feeling of revenge, and that Sometimes you have to control it, sometimes we must humbly accept that we lose when we gamble, it is the best, since seeking revenge or chasing losses is the worst, because that turns into continuing to lose money, and that is not correct, because gambling In a casino it should be synonymous with fun, but not with pressure, stress or something that turns into a nightmare.

Absolutely, loss is part of the game, and its acceptance safeguards us from the treacherous cycle of vengeance gambling. However, your view banks on players having the emotional wisdom for self-discipline.

Also, consider the socio-political undertones of your stand. By pushing "gambling as fun," you're aiding giant casinos that glorify gambling. For them, its a goldmine, but for others, it morphs into a compulsive demon.

Therefore, I endorse stricter oversight and public enlightenment about gambling hazards. A community-centric strategy, mixed with personal duty, is the future.

If a person gamble and at the end of the game he starts to feel remorse is that a good thing or should the person be on alert?

Apart from the money involved that could make gamblers feel remorse or regret, I think for a gambler why you should feel that way is when you didn't follow your instinct and you bet contrary to what you want to bet maybe a friend caused you to change your mind in the middle of betting what is from your mind and at the end, it happened that you would have won the bet if you had followed your instinct and analysis.

You can also feel remorse when you have almost won the bet in few minutes there is a turn of event against your bet like if a good was scored against you in dying minutes of the game.

You can also feel that way if you eventually won the bet but you staked with very low amount, so you would be wishing you added more funds to your bet that would have increased your winning prize. On the other hand too, vice versa, you can feel that way if you took higher risk and lost the game.

I think majority of bettors regret when they have cash out to pick up but because have greed, they leave it in expectation of a bigger potential win but to no avail, they lose everything at the end when the cash out is gone and the bet is lost also. Many bettors have this remorse certainly  Grin
Its hard to behave against our instincts because of others' opinions only to learn we were right. Thats bitter medicine. Like missing a winning goal. Gambling's worst sensation is losing a guaranteed win in the last moments. It's like seeing the finish line and tripping before crossing it. Disappointment can be severe. When we win low and regret not being bolder, we're happy. When we lose significant bets, we feel terrible. Bigger wins are tempting. Its like passing up a larger piece of cake even when you're full. But occasionally that decision leads to losing everything, leaving terrible regret. Indeed, betting blurs greed and ambition.

Nothing lasts forever
Gambling is risky and can drain our bank accounts; I often felt remorse for my takes action, but it was only temporary, and the next day, I returned to gambling, and this time, I used everything at my disposal, disregarding the repercussions. That is completely one of the characteristics of an addict, ready to place anything valuable to raise money for gambling, but that was my previous life, and I'm a changed guy with good examples. I bet frequently, and I'm able to regulate the amount of my gambling rate; I gamble twice on weekends, and only on games that I'm confident about; if it goes according to my predictions, I enjoy; if it goes against my predictions, I lose; in any case, I liked.

It's not bad to gamble but gambling above your budget is. We should know how much we can afford to lose and only gamble within our limits.
It's always good to acknowledge your mistake and do the right thing. While you knew you were spending more on gambling you still took control started saving.
Not everyone has the capability to do that. Make sure you stick to it and never fall for the money making through gambling trap again.

I agree with you, and I must say that gambling above one's budget is the riskiest thing and one should avoid it at any cost. The ones who get addicted to gambling will gamble without any limits and they lose almost everything with such a low-level habit. One should also be careful to not gamble when his/her mind is in a bad state because in those times people often want to have gratification in the form of winning and unfortunately they forget about the limits. It's always better and secure to gamble only when you are in good modes and your mind is in a happy state, and also to stick to the limits in order to not lose everything in a sitting.

That's a good point actually. Gambling when you are in a positive mood is more beneficial than when you are not.
I remember gambling when I was kind of angry because of losing and then I started chasing the losses in anger and emptied my gambling account.
There's no point in gambling like this and should be avoided at all times.

In gambling activities, defeat is certain, victory is a hope. Many cases have been experienced by gamblers who often suffer defeats rather than wins. Even though most of them regretted having spent money that could have been used for other purposes, this did not stop them from continuing to gamble.
Heartache is only limited to disappointment due to having just experienced defeat, but that feeling of disappointment or whatever will soon disappear when you have enough money to return to gambling. Losing and winning are part of the game, there's nothing to regret when you're losing because it's an unavoidable law of a game.

Feeling disappointed because you lost a bet is common, and of course the average gambler has experienced it. I, you and every other gambler have experienced it but each with a different amount to lose. Of course I don't mind the loss, it's a consequence and shouldn't dwell on it for too long. It's true that winning and losing are part of the game, but when they can't control their emotions, of course there will be many problems due to defeat.

Set a budget limit for gambling so that when you lose you are not too disappointed. You would be fine if you gambled for fun, but not many gamblers gamble for fun including myself and many others.

I don't think that there's any gambler that hasn't for one time felt remorseful after gambling in the history of the game of gambling. Though most of these gamblers will still have to go back to gambling immediately the pains of losing is reduced especially the gambling addicts.

Gambling is not merely a game of winning or losing; it involves staking one's money. Many gamblers deeply regret their losses after gambling and squandering their funds. Often, these individuals find themselves in dire financial circumstances, yet remain ensnared by their gambling addiction.

However, it all comes back to the individual, their approach to gambling, and the mindset they adopt. Never risk your last possessions, as the resulting regrets can have dire consequences, jeopardizing one's mental well-being.
I don't understand what do you mean about staking one's money? staking is referred to locking a money in someone else site or pools to earn interest, actually it's a way to grow your portfolio without need to do anything.

People who try gamble first time with his money will felt remorse when they're losing, but if they try to gamble with faucet or worthless casino coin, he will not felt remorse because they've learn before.

Many gamblers feel this remorse when they lose money but most of them are so addicted that they soon after this happens they forget about it and they already start thinking about the next session where they think they will win it big.People who are continuously in this loop are the people in most risk when it comes to extreme gambling addiction, they are not at all aware what is happening towards them and these are the persons which are most difficult to acknowledge that they are addicted in the first place. These people are almost always those that end up badly as they keep increasing their bet every upcoming session, the true winners are those who after feeling remorse think carefully before planning the next move.
In fact, if it happens to a gambling addict, it will be very difficult to think that if you are already sorry, you have to think about immediately changing your attitude to be careful about gambling, while the extreme addict himself doesn't think about regret.
Except perhaps the average non-addicted gambler might be able to have a logical mind when regretting losing too much money and think carefully after the incident.
From some of the comments I think that this is all about failing self-control and making ourselves regretful.
We often encounter regret for losing money while gambling, and maybe the guilt often disturbs our minds. But I think as long as we have self-awareness to be more vigilant when gambling is better and can prevent us from getting out of control. Talking about self-control, of course, this is a very important point that all gamblers must have because by having this foothold we can be more calm and not too hasty to blame the circumstances that have occurred.

Obviously, I would feel a little bad after losing a considerable sum but never have I felt remorse after playing. I personally don’t see gambling as anything bad or anything to be ashamed about if you play responsibly so I wouldn’t feel remorseful about it.

Regarding your question, if someone plays and feels remorseful at the end of the game, then it’s best you quit playing as you most likely haven’t got the heart to play and perhaps still in conflict worth yourself about gambling in general.

To be totally honest, I think no matter how deep one gets into gambling and how far one goes in making gambling a habit of their life, one would still feel bad when one loses because that's a natural feeling, a human feels regret when they lose money because of themselves and they feel happy when they win something because of their own self, so no matter if you are new to gambling or an old school, you will always feel bad for your losses.

Some people might say that those who gamble for fun won't feel bad when they lose money but that's also not true because even if you are gambling only for fun, you won't like losing because that simply means that you are not going to have fun anymore, fun in gambling is to keep gambling and when you lose, you can't keep doing that.
not as you think. indeed everyone who gambles just for fun doesn't want to lose or definitely wants to win but the feeling of regret when losing here is different from gamblers who don't have self-control because to gamble for fun they have good self-control by committing to a predetermined budget set it with a small amount that you can afford to lose.
In contrast to gamblers who have no control over their own bets, they will gamble more often to chase losses without planning a budget to use so that when they lose they will regret what they have bet on gambling.

with this, we can conclude that the definition of regret differs between gamblers having fun and gamblers who seek victory as income. Smiley
