When I was new to Bitcoin there were a few times where I lost my entire balance due to Martingale strategy. When you first start out and you go several minutes without losing it feels amazing. It feels like a perfect strategy until you hit a losing streak and everything is gone. When you are acting greedy you tend to ignore reason and don't think about how severe your losses can be. I don't make such foolish mistakes anymore but occasionally I'll mess up by doing something like betting 50,000 sats instead of 5,000 and it can ruin your mood for a while if the bet doesn't turn out in your favor.

Messing up with the zeros happens to everyone, you are not the only one who messes up. When you are winning the excitement and the adrenaline makes you believe that the next bet will also be in your favor. If it goes on for some time you would feel that today is your day and like a fool, you will make the big mistake of going all in. That's when you lose and then the frustration kicks in with the belief that another deposit will counter your loss. Until you realize that it is gambling and you were only playing for fun.

Changing our thought process is always a challenge as this is something we do automatically, and if you do not make an effort to change you will eventually go back to your previous habits, however it can be done by those that are decided to make a change as they understand that if they keep behaving in this way then sooner or later dire consequences could come their way, and while gambling can be an extremely nice hobby, for a person that is out of control gambling can be a terrible obsession as the losses can accumulate at an impressive speed.
And not many gamblers can change their mindset to be able to change their gambling habits because gambling can make them forget and feel comfortable while gambling. That is why many people still find it hard to leave gambling forever or reduce their activities in gambling. They regret it but that doesn't mean they will reduce their gambling activities. Maybe they will gamble more often. And if people make gambling their hobby, they must quickly realize that it will only get them into a lot of trouble and one of them is gambling addiction. If they are already experiencing gambling addiction, it will be difficult to get out and even if they regret it, they will still return to gambling because their thoughts are only to want to gamble.

I don't think that there's any gambler that hasn't for one time felt remorseful after gambling in the history of the game of gambling. Though most of these gamblers will still have to go back to gambling immediately the pains of losing is reduced especially the gambling addicts.
It is believed that there's a level one will get to in gambling and wouldn't be feeling too bad when they lose because they know that losing is also part of the game
As a gambler, there's every tendency that we already passed through horrible events. Gambling is capable of generating both gains and losses. I've moved beyond the point where I felt remorse for my gambling practices, always yearning for a better tomorrow. Feeling apologetic after substantial losses is merely a sensation at the time, but doing something completely different will also keep those thoughts away, and one may even forget that he made losses earlier from the system. Losing is part of the game; the moment we engage in gambling activities, we accept the appropriate terms and conditions.

Many gamblers feel this remorse when they lose money but most of them are so addicted that they soon after this happens they forget about it and they already start thinking about the next session where they think they will win it big.People who are continuously in this loop are the people in most risk when it comes to extreme gambling addiction, they are not at all aware what is happening towards them and these are the persons which are most difficult to acknowledge that they are addicted in the first place. These people are almost always those that end up badly as they keep increasing their bet every upcoming session, the true winners are those who after feeling remorse think carefully before planning the next move.
In fact, if it happens to a gambling addict, it will be very difficult to think that if you are already sorry, you have to think about immediately changing your attitude to be careful about gambling, while the extreme addict himself doesn't think about regret.
Except perhaps the average non-addicted gambler might be able to have a logical mind when regretting losing too much money and think carefully after the incident.
From some of the comments I think that this is all about failing self-control and making ourselves regretful.

Gambling is risky and can drain our bank accounts; I often felt remorse for my takes action, but it was only temporary, and the next day, I returned to gambling, and this time, I used everything at my disposal, disregarding the repercussions. That is completely one of the characteristics of an addict, ready to place anything valuable to raise money for gambling, but that was my previous life, and I'm a changed guy with good examples. I bet frequently, and I'm able to regulate the amount of my gambling rate; I gamble twice on weekends, and only on games that I'm confident about; if it goes according to my predictions, I enjoy; if it goes against my predictions, I lose; in any case, I liked.

It's not bad to gamble but gambling above your budget is. We should know how much we can afford to lose and only gamble within our limits.
It's always good to acknowledge your mistake and do the right thing. While you knew you were spending more on gambling you still took control started saving.
Not everyone has the capability to do that. Make sure you stick to it and never fall for the money making through gambling trap again.

I agree with you, and I must say that gambling above one's budget is the riskiest thing and one should avoid it at any cost. The ones who get addicted to gambling will gamble without any limits and they lose almost everything with such a low-level habit. One should also be careful to not gamble when his/her mind is in a bad state because in those times people often want to have gratification in the form of winning and unfortunately they forget about the limits. It's always better and secure to gamble only when you are in good modes and your mind is in a happy state, and also to stick to the limits in order to not lose everything in a sitting.

Remorse is a strong word to use in this situation. I personally have felt sadness after losing some bets, but this is natural behaviour when losing at anything. It's compounded by the fact that you started with a certain amount of money, which is hard to attain, and then ended without it. I've never gambled big enough amounts to feel that sad, but understand that some people have so little self control that they bet far higher amounts than they should - or greed gets them carried away, thinking they can beat inevitable mathematical odds and variance over time. For that it is hard to have sympathy.
Most likely, remorse is the consequences of upbringing, if, perhaps, in adolescence, parents told us that it was bad, then it is quite possible that there will be such feelings. But I agree that basically after the loss there is a feeling of disappointment from the fact that the bet is lost, nothing more. Especially if the bet was low enough, I mean regarding the game deposit, then this will not have a big financial impact and the disappointment will be insignificant.

I saw this online and thought maybe i should bring on to bitcointalk for discussion.

If a person gamble and at the end of the game he starts to feel remorse is that a good thing or should the person be on alert?
It's normal that we felt remorse after gambling everytime we loss an amount. Because we cannot force ourselves in to calm mode, when we are in Lossing. And mostly we can say that what a wasteful bet hope next time we won't lose again. In the world of gambling we must know and put in our mind that we gamble what we afford to lose so that we can not feel romorse every after bet.

If indeed it is or is something normal , we are not going to get well if we have lost some money, even if it is 1 dollar that we lose and something that we do not like, because 1 dollar can be useful even if it is to buy something to Drink and enjoy it , then when you lose in the game it is obvious that we Must feel bad, or with a lot of remorse, but the best thing is to see it like me , every time I go to play in the casino, I deposit 10 usd, sometimes less, and that money is that I have the will to lose , that is, I have it for my pure enjoyment, I see it as an investment for my fun, if I lose it, it doesn't hurt me because in my mind I tell myself that this is the price I must pay to enjoy a good game. That's the idea.

It's like paying for a Service, nothing more , it's just that it's possible that those 10 usd or less if I make a lucky move and I can earn more than what I have, it's something Spectacular for me Because mostly a person is very excited about your Deposit money to multiply it , this is something that Should never be done , because the blow is Hard.

I don't gamble much, but I don't remember feeling "remorse" when gambling. Might be very likely I am light gambler, and I gamble just for fun. But people out there that has "remorse" after gambling, are like all other addicts. We have seen those other addicts that has remorse after doing something, but then again, starts doing the same thing when the "remorse" passes away. Of course, if the person wins, we won't be having any remorse. But if the person loses, and has remorse, then he might either stop gambling, or in worst case scenario, he might be running after the loss, causing him to lose more.
Sometimes, you feel more remorse when you have already managed to win a significantly high amount but then you lose it all back to the house only out of greed, that moment feels too bad when you see it all gone when you had a lot of it a moment ago, and this usually happens when you start thinking that you can get even more if you use the amount you've won but what happens is that you lose everything back to the house and then regret doing that.

I don't know about others but I personally feel more bad losing normally than losing what I have won along with my own money because I could literally have way more money than I had when I started gambling but it didn't happen only because of my own greediness, it hits really hard.

I mean when a person who gambles then loses any amount he will keep coming back when he has the money because he only thinks about the previous losses. so this is about poor self-control.
Yes, I have experienced feelings like that before because after experiencing defeat after loss from playing gambling, it makes me regret that I have played gambling. But in the past, regret was just a feeling because a few days later, I returned to gambling at a different casino. But now I'm not like that because now I consider gambling entertainment and nothing more so I can gamble whenever I want and stop whenever I want. Maybe it really takes effort to think of gambling as entertainment because I also experienced it first.

At early stage, one may feel remorse most especially when you lose the games, but what gives the highest motivation is when you gamble and you win at that point, your confidence level will be increased compared to when you lose, and also when you are in an area where most citizens are not a gambling or religion restrictions on gambling activities.
Feeling guilt after a loss is merely a fleeting feeling that passes through our minds and lasts only an hour or day,  we all have experiencedthat phase. However, distinct acts were undertaken in the pursuit of substantial odds. Losing causes a gambler to feel heartbreak for that particular moment; it may take all day, but they will return to gambling when they discover another game. While winning just boosts a gambler's morale and confidence; I remembered my colleague beating his chest and going in for another game slip when his predictions turned out to be appropriate.
Yes, it's true that it's a fleeting feeling, but besides that, emotional control is also needed, because if emotions peak, it's clear that regretting losing at gambling, he will try to make money again, even if he has to borrow it from a loan shark to play again, then regretting losing at gambling will not never been good especially in the end he will play gambling again to make up for his defeat.

Emotional control when gambling is an important key so that gamblers don't become addicts, because people who often regret when they experience mistakes or defeats in gambling, on average, often try to catch up with their losses as well as make amends for their mistakes. Gambling is not just about making money, so understand that gambling has risks. which we must accept gracefully.

What do you say reminds me of an event where I bet on the favorite team, but my analysis calculation has been rounded that my favorite team will lose easily, and in fact, I bet and lose because I chose a favorite team in gambling, rather than the results of reality The analysis that I made myself, and quickly before deciding there was a doubt that made me worry.
From the average betting behavior that I experienced in the field of sports is because regret is present because of the previous doubt, as well as my story above, why did I not follow the results of the analysis that I made and instead forced myself to bet on the favorite team, Even before the prediction was correct.
But some moments also when betting do not have doubts, my feelings are more free, even though they lose but I don't feel sorry

Well, so we experienced something similar, and it seems like it could have happened over and over again, right. I'm pretty sure, that we often feel regret after activities in gambling. another example, when we are in a bad mood, we often force a gambling session which in the end we lose in a short time, regardless of the type of game. then, we regret for not heeding feelings that are not in a good condition. not infrequently, we say things that are inappropriate when in that situation. another example, as you said and I will quote, is "doubt".

When we doubt, if you believe, the feedback that will radiate in doubt usually has a negative impact. in this context, gambling. be it in a sports betting session, or any other type of casino gaming. Doubt, usually has stopped us one step ahead.
Well, back to our theme, which is regret. So, I think regret is a common expression, especially if we associate it with betting. there are many factors that make us regret it, but the fact is we still gamble. it's just that, there are many misperceptions of the expression regret.maybe if the case is bigger, or we regret that we have lost property in gambling, that's new, someone no longer enjoys gambling as a means of entertainment. however, they are more addicted and want big winnings in each gambling session.

Regular gamblers don't regret losing gambling. Regular gamblers have become a bad habit and don't feel bad about losing. And those who lose when they are new to gambling have a lot of regret and some people.  There are those who vow never to lose money by gambling again. Similarly, there are those who lose gambling and start gambling again to recover the lost money.

Additional advice would be better if you know when to stop gambling and determine the funds to be used for gambling.
Everything will look very easy to gamble without regrets when you can always commit to the planning that has been formed before deciding to bet.

People who gamble regularly most of the time can't gamble because they are completely addicted to gambling. Gambling is a bad addiction I think but I don't like gambling very much. Gambling is a bane of my life. I have lost a lot of money by gambling.  For which I try to stay away from gambling. I now regret the money I lost by gambling.

Everything you said might be right except for the part that regular gamblers don't feel remorse. It is a dopamine thing and dopamine is usually considered to be the pleasure hormone, which already implies that losing should not foster dopamine production and release in a normal person and even in a person that is fighting an addiction. It also is dependent on what remorse exactly means. A slight sadness when somebody lost money is normal and should also be the state of mind because nobody should be after losing. But addicts also often undervalue the consequence of losses and overvalue the consequence of winnings, which is also triggered by chemicals in their brain. When they lose five times in a row they are still looking forward to this one win after losing so many teams even if it doesn't fully make up for what was lost.

Maybe we have also experienced something like that where after we have lost all the money, we don't gamble for a few days until we have money again. And once we have the money, we intend to gamble again and want to recover our previous losses. So the regret they express when they experience loss is only temporary because, after a few days, they will still return to gambling and play gambling again. This means they haven't really regretted having lost at gambling and keep returning to gambling.

One thing sure or certain is that, any body who is gambling solely to make money in the process will always probably over bet and also will regret on every loss,  for those who arent really very much concerned about winning money, this ones are going to be betting only what they can afford to lose and maybe hardly regret it when the money is lost, simply because, he or she wasn't alll that serious about winning in the initial stage..

So regretting or not regretting all boils down to what one desires from gambling, that is what their expectations was during placing the bet.
