Feeling remorseful after gambling is been orchestrated by an event, and that's a loss when you lose in gambling when you have put in much money, it is really painful but what can you do, you just have to move on, as a gambler we believe that giving is not the right thing, you keep on trying because without being active you won't be able to win when the day comes.

It is advisable to use spare money for gambling because of the loss that may occur in the process.
Don't make gambling a habit because it might be disastrous to human mental health, we just have to give little to it not all because of the possible regret that comes with the loss. I have experienced this feeling once and from that day I advised myself never to allow such a thing to occur again, from that day till this moment have limited myself from gambling.

If a person gamble and at the end of the game he starts to feel remorse is that a good thing or should the person be on alert?
we will only feel sorry or remorse for losing or still losing, feeling sorry in my opinion is normal and it will automatically come out of us because we gamble hoping to win and make a profit.
regardless we have spent a little or a lot of money we will definitely feel sorry and remorse at some point.
Of course, in my opinion, we must be able to stay alert to our passions and control them so that we don't do things that are undesirable while carrying out gambling activities.
Absolutely correct, if you control yourself in gambling then the feeling of regret will be less it is also a good idea to set a winning limit for gambling. This means that when a certain amount of winnings is reached, cash out and stop playing or betting. By doing this, you will walk away with a profit instead of a loss. Also to start budgeting, first understand money you are comfortable losing after winning it is better to stop for some time without getting greedy.

Of course, in my opinion, we must be able to stay alert to our passions and control them so that we don't do things that are undesirable while carrying out gambling activities.
But many gamblers still decide to return to gambling even though they have experienced previous defeats. They only regret when they lose or at the end of the game but that doesn't make them really regret leaving gambling. Only a few truly regret not gambling anymore, knowing that gambling did not pay off well for them. It's okay if we decide to keep gambling, but we really have to control ourselves when gambling and not use a lot of money to gamble. By controlling ourselves, we can reduce the number of defeats in gambling so that we will not feel too sorry because we can limit our gambling.
The name of regret is always the last coming when everything that is sacrificed does not have the results as expected, and whose name is regret is varied in the source, whether we play unclear or too lust or others that drain your balance.
And also regret it does not mean that people who regret do not have to gamble anymore, it is a temporary feeling that we might get more and more regret not because of losing money but because of using strategies in gambling, like you already have a victory but a decent one, but you want to continue to play And that in my opinion is what makes us sorry.
For me who also has arrangements before gambling and have a limit in the use of money which is primarily only to find pleasure in gambling and have an apathetic nature towards winning or losing, sometimes feel sorry because I use the wrong strategy, and want to fix it at a later time.

This can even happen to a regular gambler that just happens to lose control for a night due to being intoxicated with alcohol or another substance, or simply by losing control of their emotions, and this should show us how important it is to always remain in control, as even a single moment of weakness can be enough to lose way more money than what you had in mind at the beginning of the session, and this can surely lead a person to be remorseful about their actions.
Why do you think drinks are free in most casinos? I have seen this first hand, people who gamble very very little, were comped with free drinks, free food, even free cigarettes if they use it, just so they can stay a little longer. That's what you must do as a casino, keep them there as long as possible so that they could continue to gamble.

If you achieve that, then eventually they will drink too much and they will end up with more loss than they want to, and you will get that money back you spent on the drinks for them. This may not work for every single person of course, some will go and drink and spend very little or maybe even win and leave. But the general population will lose all they have, maybe even more than that, casinos are known for people to lose all their wealth.
I have seen it as well which is why I did not drink at all when I was gambling at the casino back in the day, however for every person that rejected the free drinks there were other ten that though this was their lucky day and that things were simply getting even better, only for their night to be ruined as they realized that their gambling session which have started which such promising results suddenly took a turn for the worse, and instead they lost a massive amount of money.

Whenever there is a loss we feel remorse, particularly when the amount we've spend is a needed one. Particularly we could've got some profit, even after that we keep on wagering with the plan to get some more and finally end up losing. This will really be heart breaking and our mind keeps murmuring we could've cashed out earlier, so that we could've avoided the loss. As stated we should have the understanding as well as the control while we're into gambling. When we don't have the control, it means we're on the wrong track and the act of feeling bad after gambling happens forever.
Self control and discipline is always been that necessary or something which it is really that needed not only or limited on gambling space but also in other aspect or decision making situation in life as well.
You cant really just that tolerate on spending up money on gambling and trying out to make yourself a winner because with this kind of mindset then you would definitely be making yourself that desperate on which it would really be causing that for you to lose even more. If you arent aware on what you are doing and you do make yourself that extremely greedy then you are really that putting yourself into a huge disaster later on when it comes to finances. Human beings do usually having that feeling of regret or remorse on the time that they have lost up so much money on the time or point that they are really that having that struggle.
They havent been able to think up these things mid-way, if they had just stopped and able to control it then it wont really be ending up like this.

In my opinion, you only feel remorseful when you lose the bet.
It's normal to feel bad when you lose. Even if you gambled with a small amount, you will not be happy you lost it because you were not playing to lose but to win.
I don't think it's an alarming thing. You may begin to think of what you could have done with the money. The feeling doesn't last though, except you gambled with an amount you cant afford to lose.

There are people who are greedy and is not satisfied with the amount of their winnings and wanted to have more.  They got remorseful because they don't bet higher amount and thinks if only they bet more they could have won more.

Is that greed?
Imagine you made a bet with $20 when you had about $100 dollar you could have used for that bet, and you won the bet. I'm sure you'll feel a type of way. A feeling like you should have staked higher since you had the money to gamble with. You can also feel that way if you lose a bet a part of you told you to stake low but you refused to listen and staked high.
These feelings should be common among gamblers, or maybe its just me.

If a person gamble and at the end of the game he starts to feel remorse is that a good thing or should the person be on alert?
Long time ago i felt it a lot. At the time i was reckless and didn't even understand i had a problem with gambling. That was before i had set any gambling rules and limits for myself.
And shame too after i had to tell i gambled my rent and couldn't afford it.

After i managed ask the money from my mother i stopped gambling all together. But i still loved gambling and wondered if there's anything i can do to keep it in control. So i made a set of rules to myself that i keep updating if i find something that doesn't work. When i stick to those rules i will be fine and don't have ever feel that remorse or shame of losing.

That certain feeling can only be felt by a gambler if he/she has lost to the casino big time because if it is the opposite thing, I highly doubt that remorse will be a suitable feeling as the person will certainly be overjoyed because of the huge winning. Even if we say that you didn't said anything to your wife that you will be gambling on that specific day, I don't think that your woman will totally care about the fact and will be mad to you if she will know that you got some huge winnings in your pocket.

I don't know about others, but I don't think I'll feel remorseful for betting for fun. I believe the only people who have this problem are the addicts, who even end up selling off their properties, which is something we should always try to regulate how we gamble because a lot of people have a lot of bad testimony about how they sell their assets to bet. The intriguing thing about gamblers is that they keep telling themselves they're going to win and eventually develop an addiction.

What kind of remorse? like spending that money or betting your money? If so, then I would think that it is better to think twice before betting. I am this kind of person when I lose; I do feel regret when I lose that amount, even if I do budget it for that play, because I always think that if I don't gamble it, I probably spent it on something else. But when I win, it makes me bet more, which is a sign of greediness. If you feel remorse after losing, then you should always consider that if you lose this money, are you okay with it or do you just not play on that day?

It's a good point to ask ourselves what would we have done with our money if we didn't spend it on gambling or sports betting. Everybody feels remorse from time to time, but we need to think carefully about it and see if it's true or our brain just playing tricks on us. Because it's not like the alternative to gambling is sitting at home do nothing. Some nights I stayed home gambling I would have went out with friends for a beer or watch a movie. So there are opportunity costs and it's not like all the lost money would still be in my wallet if I didn't gamble. On the other side we also need to think about the times we made profits when we feel remorse. It's not like we can only get rid of the bad things of gambling and keep our profits.
Your findings on gambling, remorse, and opportunity cost reconciliation are striking. However, one may argue the opposite. Opportunity cost extends beyond money. It's physical, psychological, and social. Gambling instead of "going out with friends for a beer or watching a movie" meant missing out on camaraderie, shared experiences, and prospective memories.
Second, the mind "playing tricks." Our brains try to rationalize our behaviors, but this might backfire. It may impede us from assessing our choices' harmful effects. Finally, regarding your statement on the difficulties of preserving only gambling's profitable aspects, let's not miss the possibilities for a more controlled, responsible approach. This could reduce the harmful effects while retaining the pleasure.

I really enjoy gambling especially if the gambling game is fun such as color game where there's three box contains 6 colors and you will roll it as a dice which is really fun. This kinds of gambling games are popular in my country where you can see some people are always there as if that's where they get their source of living. I've started young with a small amount first and I find that enjoyable even playing cards with adults with just a small bet. But one time I asked for money to my mother when I was a kid just to gambling with my friends after losing a lot, then in the end I'd still lost and my mother asked me what did I bought with my money and of course I lied and I really felt bad since she said that money was supposed to used for buying foods so yeah. I've never used again other's money when it comes to my entertainment.

It's obvious that we felt sad after losing in gambling. Who wants to lose in gambling? No one. Everyone wants to have a win in gambling and this is not possible of course. This remorse increases significantly if you have risked money which should not have been put into gambling and then you lost that money. Sometimes such acts will make your life miserable and will not be limited to regret only. Think that someone took a loan to gamble and lost the money, the remorse in this case is unimaginable. One may be killing himself after such a loss of that loaned money.

The losses will happen in gambling and if the gamblers make up their mind initially, then for sure they won't get too emotional after the losses and won't take more wrong actions.

OP, research has proven that the average person involved in gambling, whether it's online or offline, has experienced a sense of regret, maybe various factors, I personally have felt that.

Gambling is like the shadow of a ghost, you see the closer you get to the ghost the farther it gets, the curiosity keeps coming to mind, the more you chase it, the more it disappears, that's gambling, if you keep chasing ghosts you unknowingly are already in a cemetery / grave, when you realize regret comes to mind, why am I chasing that ghost.

Conclusion: right now I am aware and I am gambling or based on my own thoughts, unlike what I said above, I always control myself to overcome regrets in the future.

The problem is that the line between interest and addiction is very thin, and the player himself is practically unable to see it in himself.  But it is very easy for those around him: his friends and family.
When I play casino or poker, I clearly tell myself in advance how much I can spend this evening. And if I lose all the pre-agreed money, then I turn off poker or roulette, and accept that today I had a bad day. It is this kind of self-control that helps to keep yourself within limits.
The main rule: you can not fall into a tilt, and increase these amounts to the campaign of the game.

I regret when I lose money in gambling or when I don't take enough risks on a bet that I think is good. But basically, I just gamble for some dopamine. That's why I don't mind too much when I lose. And the money I use for this job does not strain my budget. Because I'm not pushing my limits and I'm not losing control of myself. However, I still feel sad when I lose and feel regret for my wrong choices, but not too much. In short, I gamble only to increase my emotional intensity. That's why I don't regret too much and I don't get upset.
I agree you have to control yourself in the beginning of gambling and it is foolish to spend more money in the beginning. It should be caught with a small amount which should not be regretted if lost. We love to follow others we judge what we see around us accordingly. But many times it is not possible to control myself it leads to regret. I have never felt pain and work should be taken not as a burden but as entertainment and curiosity. Then if you start immediately, everything will be fine and there will be mental peace.

Well, it's understandable to have regrets after losing your money in gambling. Who would feel good when you lose, right? It's a human nature. But it's a feeling that is easy to accept if you're playing solely to entertain yourself. However if you're playing with an expectation to win or chasing your past losses then it's a different thing.

The reason why before we play, you have to ask yourself if you can bear the consequences if you gamble your money. As we know it's hard to win and the possibility to lose your money is high. So if a gambler is fine with it and can accept the worse case to happen then the decision is up to us.
