What kind of remorse? like spending that money or betting your money? If so, then I would think that it is better to think twice before betting. I am this kind of person when I lose; I do feel regret when I lose that amount, even if I do budget it for that play, because I always think that if I don't gamble it, I probably spent it on something else. But when I win, it makes me bet more, which is a sign of greediness. If you feel remorse after losing, then you should always consider that if you lose this money, are you okay with it or do you just not play on that day?

But on the other hand, if you had a 1000 dollars in your gaming account,  and blew it to zero..here anybody would feel they would have done better things with the money than gamble...but again like they say, only game with money you can afford to lose and you won't feel the remorse!!

I think that every gambler feels "I could do it better" after losing any amount. It's automatic, I think we can't stop thinking about the moves we made, we can't stop analyzing.

And do we feel regret after burning the bankroll to zero (hundreds or thousands of dollars) in a short period of time? I think the answer is definitely yes, some of us simply like to win, and after losing there's that little disappointment and remorse! But definitely, that remorse doesn't last long, nor it's a big mood-destroyer if we spent just what we can afford to lose.
Yes, many will feel remorse because they have lost much money at gambling. But that doesn't stop them from returning to gambling, especially when they have money. We see that regret is only there for a while, so that they will gamble again a few days later. And those of us who have heard and read those regret stories don't need to experience them, especially if we want to be responsible gamblers. Feeling that regret and being able to make us reduce our gambling time would be better than trying to erase that regret and keep gambling because we want to recover the losses because it is much more difficult to get.

If a person gamble and at the end of the game he starts to feel remorse is that a good thing or should the person be on alert?
I don't know about others, but I don't think I'll feel remorseful for betting for fun. I believe the only people who have this problem are the addicts, who even end up selling off their properties, which is something we should always try to regulate how we gamble because a lot of people have a lot of bad testimony about how they sell their assets to bet. The intriguing thing about gamblers is that they keep telling themselves they're going to win and eventually develop an addiction.
This can even happen to a regular gambler that just happens to lose control for a night due to being intoxicated with alcohol or another substance, or simply by losing control of their emotions, and this should show us how important it is to always remain in control, as even a single moment of weakness can be enough to lose way more money than what you had in mind at the beginning of the session, and this can surely lead a person to be remorseful about their actions.

This is the way it should be, but most people once they begin to win some money they refuse to stop, they think that luck is finally on their side and they prefer to keep gambling thinking they will earn a lot of money and recover from all of those losing sessions they had on the past, but once their luck runs out they begin to lose again and in their desperation they decide to keep gambling, lose a great deal of their capital in the process and then they feel remorse about what they did.
After a good winning streak, you start to think that you have understood something and now it will always be like this, but losses are an integral part of the process and you can make more mistakes in this moments on emotions. After that, when you start to analyze what happened, you understand that this could have been avoided, and at such moments, of course, there is regret about what you have done.
Most gamblers make the same mistake, once they start winning a few times, they start thinking that they can manage to do that every time, without realizing that the game can always turn against them especially when there is a house edge intact all the time to make the house win in the long run. Some people even start betting with higher amounts once they get a winning streak which is the biggest mistake.

They wouldn't win as much as they will lose when they start betting with higher amounts because when they start losing, they try recovering their losses by doubling their bets and if a loss steak hits them, it clears their bankroll and waves them bye-bye after that.

I agree with this.

It's a common mistake for gamblers to not acknowledge the fact that there will be times they could lose too despite the continuous winning streak they had. Even if you are very much skilled, intelligent, and strategic, there will be times that luck won't just side on your favor. Hence, if you managed to win consecutively and happen to have an amount that is enough to get you something important, then learn to stop and control your urges. Otherwise, the luckiness might turn into madness later on. Your winnings can be instantly wiped out if ever you messed up or if ever the odds won't just be in favor with you.

You have to limit yourself and build a healthy gambling habit so that you won't regret later on. Indeed, tables can turn in the very last minute, so be wary of your actions especially if it involves large sum of money.

What he says is very wise, there are many who trust that what they have is the best, be it their strategy, playing style, everything, but sometimes the game, or any game they can give you can take away all the money if the person is carried away by impulses and adrenaline, it is difficult for things to go well through impulses, unless that person has so much money that he does not realize how much he loses, but if he applies a more reckless strategy such as the martingale, then yes You will feel that things can get out of control faster, that's why you have to know how to play, you have to know when to withdraw, generally both in the game and in the trading I learned to withdraw when I have a profit, no matter how much small be.

I start from a very stable principle, we are adult players, any Risk that we assume we must accept that anything can happen, including winning or losing, I know that we all seek to win, it is something natural, very obvious and of course that things can be given as we want as long as they are done well and with everything in order, but there is also the possibility of losing and it is something that we are very sure of, we cannot fight against a system that is made so that the house and only the house has the advantage.

As players we fight against the house advantage, we fight against the advantage and level of difficulty of the game we are playing, and this is already something very big , and it is obvious that when we play and win we must celebrate in style, because there is many people who are eaten by casinos , that is, they end up losing everything and fall into an orblem of depression , stress and everything.

If from the beginning gamblers can have patience and accept defeat and then only gamble with the aim of having fun then whether it's a big loss or a small loss they won't regret it because they see defeat as payment to be able to have fun.
Many other gamblers suggest gambling with money that can be received when it is lost and one of the benefits is that the gambler doesn't regret too much and thinks about returning losses because the thought of being able to recover losses will only bring even greater losses.
I'm not sure anyone can actually leave gambling without even returning because here they are within the scope of the gambling industry so it's impossible to stop so easily.
That's the true purpose of having fun with gambling. But unfortunately, from the start, they were curious and tried to play for one or two rounds, and the next, their curiosity became high, and finally, they continued playing again the next day. The initial goal of just wanting to have fun eventually becomes pursuing victory because they are curious and never win. And after tasting defeat again, they don't think they regret what they have done but keep playing. It takes a lot of things to stay on track, such as having fun with gambling so they don't end up gambling with too much money. If not, they will only regret it after knowing how much money they have used.

~snip~
Some people get used to it, I mean they will get used to being lose at everything and then still gamble because they are already addicted to it, they will not feel nothing anymore because they used to it and they will do everything just to satisfy their needs and the things that they wanted. They will continue to play even though they don't have anything in their pocket.
And they really will not regret spending a lot of money on gambling. They will even return, and those already addicted will not think anything has changed. They just want to satisfy their desire to play gambling, so they have no regrets. It will be bad for their life, especially if they are already addicted to gambling, where they will not think about stopping but want to continue playing, and if necessary, they will borrow money to gamble.

Feeling remorse is the result but the reason can be different since the gamblers have different mindsets. Gambling is there for only fun and if you feel remorse after losing big it means something is not right with that person. Feeling regretful is ok as well, you can win or lose instantly but not guaranteed to have only winnings on gambling. I advise learning to master your mindset as a gambler who regularly plays and feels different useless emotions, IMHO.

It's a good advise to shape a person's mindset for his own sake. However, I don't think that our emotions are useless as they belong to one of those many things that make us human. Having different emotions and feelings in various circumstances is totally normal. We are built that way - to feel something. Now, if you don't feel anything at all, that's when it becomes scary. Because if you can't feel that you played enough or be overwhelm by your losses, you can't really decide whether to continue playing or to stop. You'll have no sense of direction. The moment emotions become bad for us is when we let it take over us and let it control our decision-making.

Emotions aren't useless. But you have to utilize it to your advantage to avoid the repercussions. Being irrational and impulsive because you feel happy or sad is what's bad. So, you must learn to control it and to make a sane and logical decision everytime to avoid having resentment or regrets later on because you got swayed by it during your bet or play.

Let's all agree on one thing, if you had $100 dollars to gamble with and by the end of the day you manage to flip it to over a thousand dollars...do you think any one will feel remorseful, I don't think so!

But on the other hand, if you had a 1000 dollars in your gaming account,  and blew it to zero..here anybody would feel they would have done better things with the money than gamble...but again like they say, only game with money you can afford to lose and you won't feel the remorse!!

I think he is implying on a scenario that user lose in gambling to feel remorse because no one will feel upset or remorse when you are winning or not losing during your gambling. It's really absurd if someone feel that way without losing any money on his game.

There are people who are greedy and is not satisfied with the amount of their winnings and wanted to have more.  They got remorseful because they don't bet higher amount and thinks if only they bet more they could have won more.

But in your last example, Even if I have 1M bankroll and lose only 1K, I will still feel a little bit upset since that is still good amount of money even if I can afford to lose it due to my bankroll. The difference is I will not soak on it and just forget about it after I feel temporarily sad about it.

If that is the case then you are wagering the fund you cannot afford to lose.  This is one reason a gambler feel remorse after losing.  They end up using the fund not allocated for their gambling activity.

People who play gambling and lose, big or small, will feel sorry for gambling. But that doesn't make some of them stop because they think it is temporary and they can win and recover their losses tomorrow. It is the wrong decision if they decide to return to gambling another day because that also does not guarantee they can get win. And the people who manage to break out of that circle should feel good that they have finally avoided the destruction that could have happened to their lives. And you are one of those people who are still lucky to be able to leave gambling before gambling destroys you.
Some people get used to it, I mean they will get used to being lose at everything and then still gamble because they are already addicted to it, they will not feel nothing anymore because they used to it and they will do everything just to satisfy their needs and the things that they wanted. Well, don't we already know that gambling contains risks in it. so, losing is a condition that becomes a risk and will be experienced by everyone who makes a bet and winning is where the condition of the gambler gets from his betting session. the point is, winning and losing is part of gambling. so, aren't we used to that kind of thing. in gambling, where luck or victory is an expensive price that is quite difficult for us to get in each gambling session.

Logically, if all gamblers had 80% winnings, then no one would be willing to become bookies. or we can say, every casino will suffer a big loss. for me personally, losing is a natural thing in gambling. but to avoid defeat, we can use what we have. I mean, not that we gamble to lose. therefore, we must use such means or methods. at least, that's ideally rather than blindly gambling. because I mostly bet on football, there are several ways to minimize losses. in a way, involving extensive knowledge, experience and insight. that way, we have a pretty even chance to win.

But yeah, we agree with what you said. for most cases who become gambling addicts, usually they will do everything they can just to fulfill their desire for satisfaction, even though each session ends in defeat. Some compulsive gamblers, usually don't think rationally, even when they don't have any money in their pocket, they will try to get it. in cases like this, they sometimes regret what they have spent at the gambling table. but will come back again, when they have money in their pocket. yep, I hope you, me, we are not that type of gambler.

I regret when I lose money in gambling or when I don't take enough risks on a bet that I think is good. But basically, I just gamble for some dopamine. That's why I don't mind too much when I lose. And the money I use for this job does not strain my budget. Because I'm not pushing my limits and I'm not losing control of myself. However, I still feel sad when I lose and feel regret for my wrong choices, but not too much. In short, I gamble only to increase my emotional intensity. That's why I don't regret too much and I don't get upset.
Regret would always come at the end and this is something a feeling that wont really be that able to take away for someone who do make use of their funds which is really that already outside of their limits or allocation
on which they would really be minding that they shouldnt have done that because it is really that too much or really that go beyond their limits. Well, you wouldn't really be minding these things on the time that you do gamble which is most likely the case but on the time that you wont really be having money on your pocket then this is where you would really be completely stopping. Feeling of regrets and other similar emotions would really be mainly felt on the time that you cant play anymore but on the time that you do still have funds then you would really be having that sky is the limit kind of impression or emotion which its never been that ideal
on having this kind of characteristic most of the time specially when you do gamble because it would really be giving out that negative effect.

Yes, I have always felt that feelings a couple of times before and the most recent is in the last weekend when I staked some sports bets and won the first game and was able to cash out but instead of taking a break, I went further to gamble more letting my greed to control me and at the end, I lost a good some from the first winning.

It was a reflecting time for me and I blamed myself for not taking the break when I first made the winning.
Such repentance is often seen among gamblers. After a big win, the level of greed increases. Some can gain but most of the time there is more chance of losing. Regrets of gains and losses are always present among those who gamble. A few days ago I took a bet where I won a large amount according to my level. After won the bet I thought to take a short break but suddenly I took a small bet and lost. To pursue the loss i lost the entire amount of my big win. After that I regretted that if I had been able to take a short break I could have cashed out my winnings.

There is no point in blaming yourself for losing gambling or betting on sports, because such an outcome is just as logical as winning.

Of course, it would be good to learn to stop gambling while there is still money in your account, although it is quite difficult, but it is a very useful practice that helps to fight greed.

Besides, even if you had stopped, there is no guarantee that you wouldn't lose the money you won next time. In this case, limiting the deposit helps a lot.

Remorse is a common part of gambling. For those who haven't strayed too far into compulsive or problem gambling, at least. As a frequent gambler, you experience regret when you lose, when you gamble with money you cannot afford to lose, when you spend too much time at an online casino and your entire day seems to go to waste because you were idle, and when you miss out on something because of gambling. This could be something as trivial as forgetting your wedding anniversary, taking your parent to the doctor, skipping your child's game or performance in school, etc.  I've had regret over gambling twice. 2016 and 2018 follow. I made the decision to reduce it after it nearly destroyed my life.
People who play gambling and lose, big or small, will feel sorry for gambling. But that doesn't make some of them stop because they think it is temporary and they can win and recover their losses tomorrow. It is the wrong decision if they decide to return to gambling another day because that also does not guarantee they can get win.
