People who say they face troubles with KYC, later manage to pass it and withdraw their coins. Generally, that's it. Hitbtc should work faster but it's not a scam.

Well no. I am faced with forced KYC even though I requested to withdraw an amount much below their own limits for KYC. It just shows they are using KYC as a measure to slow down or in cases completely block withdrawals and this points directly to the issue of insolvency.

There are many exchanges who are slow to process KYC procedures but they do not force them on their clients when the clients try to withdraw limited amounts of money - HitBTC does, so it's an abnormal situation indicating they operate on illegally borrowed and in cases out right stolen money.

I was also hoping to see a bigger office and over a hundred employee but who needs that if the exchange has a strong security and it is safe to trade, the only downside is with few employee some concern are not being met.

Mate, you're missing the point. It's not about a bigger office or over a hundred employees. Actually, the first two images that you're seeing in my post are the ones which are provided by HitBTC at their official website, while the next two images that you're seeing are the ones which were captured by a visitor (who visited HitBTC's office). Surprisingly (or maybe unsurprisingly?), their office was locked up and no one (of HitBTC team) was present at that address.

Most of the complaints about Hitbtc could be narrowed down to the problem with the delays in withdrawals. People who say they face troubles with KYC, later manage to pass it and withdraw their coins. Generally, that's it. Hitbtc should work faster but it's not a scam.

Sorry to read about your issues.

Sadly these types of complaints against HitBTC are becoming more and more common.

The cases against them pile up continuously.

HitBTC is clearly a SCAM. Their conduct shows they are insolvent and block user funds under a false pretense of KYC procedure. It's better to keep away from those crooks.

How much longer can they keep getting away with freezing user accounts to selective scam? They should be investigated by the authorities and appropriate action should be taken.

I have barely any coins on the exchange and I don't find it even worth withdrawing my tokens. I have some CCT tokens and they are charging more tokens as fee than the amount of tokens I have. They were worth 1200 dollars earlier but now worth $2. I can either sell them in distress sale or keep them on the exchange. Same goes for FLP.

Sorry to hear your investment went down but as a plus point, if you were trying to withdraw funds that were worth several hundred or several thousands then you would definitely be selectively scammed.

Dear Trader,

We will credit your deposit to you manually. The reason for this trouble is described below.

The address you’re currently using for MAID deposits 19AxyQ9giXPMWV1CoTyUJMYnCEeJy3SxhR has been disabled on June 1st, 2019. Please switch to a new MAID address for making deposits on your HitBTC account. It’s more safe and secure.

Should you make a deposit to an old address, it can be processed manually only after your request to us. As it requires additional work, it will take up to a month and a $100 fee will be charged.

Regards,
Eugene Moura
HitBTC Support Team

You understand? they claim that they disconnected the wallet 5 days before I made a deposit! BUT I have not been notified! And now I have to pay them $ 100 and wait 1 month!

The new scheme of fraud from hitbtc, be careful!

This is cheating now. How they can charge such hefty fee when they did not even notify you of change of address? This is the reason I always send a small amount of coins first to check if the address is working and then send the remaining amount. You just need to keep contacting them to make sure they give you your coins back without a fee as there is nothing else you could do. Like the earlier person Thewowman777 succeeded, it might work for you too.

Hitbtc is getting even more suspicious now and even though I have so many coins left there, they increased the fee that it makes it worthless for me to withdraw now.

I haven't used the exchange for sometime until yesterday, I don't use exchanges much in general, but am I the only one who thinks their fees are ridicilous? I can't recall them being like this before and it's definitely higher than the other platforms out there...
This is one of the reasons why i do leave out on this exchange because of its ridiculous fees.It hasnt been changed ever since no matter what the price of either btc or altcoins in the market
the fee is always been the same.If you do have micro transactions then fees would really hurt you up.

I agree with you.
The problem is HitBTC doing targeting scam, so a lot of people have been no scammed.

But recently, as you can see on my previous post, I found a lot of people in the same case than me.
We must act.

I don't know the reason behind there scam : Have they been hacked ? Have they doing an exit scam ?
Anyway, Something bad is going on.

I just contact a lawyer in Hong Kong, recommended by my French Government , to start the sue in court if they don't give me my money.

I hope you start proceedings against the scammers because if you are the first it will be a test case and others can follow. Maybe taking class action in a group with other victims would be better as it has safety in numbers and lowers the cost.

Maybe you are right, they might have been hacked or might be looking for an exit strategy - those might be some of the reasons they are selective scamming.

They scam me. But my story can be covered by specialised media. I hope my story will help other customers to not try this exchange.
Because I see too much people scammed by HitBTC on twitter and reddit, so we need to stop it now.

Yes the number of people getting scammed is increasing, any form of publicity to alert newbies and gullible people about the scam to protect them would be a wise move.

I hope the "team" behind the disaster that is HitBTC will wake up to the fact that they cannot drag this scam out forever. Either they need to pull their act together and stop behaving in this manner or they have to close down (or sell their business to allow another team to repair the damage)
