The support team means nothing
They have automatic messages
This is happening in all altcoins exchanges they never reply on time I submit a ticket and I have to wait for 10 weeks for first reply and after this now I have never any reply and I lost my all funds 0.7 bitcoins they are unrecoverable so now I am not trusting any exchange.

It's time to say goodbye to Hitbtc   Sad

It is time for HitBtc to die, enough people lost enough money because of them.  I just hope that everyone will manage to withdraw their crypto .
Today I am trying to withdraw my funds but all day have no access to site any other person have this problem every time I am trying to access message appears access denied.

All you need to do is contacting the support team instead of spreading panic in the community.

I feel in this case it is more about delay tactics and playing ignorant rather than them being lazy. They seem to have a deliberate agenda geared towards skipping past posts that highlight their selective scamming.

They claim a daily volume of $650 million which equates to over $237 BILLION per year but they cannot even get a team of customer services assistants to sort out or address issues raised by customers:  https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/hitbtc/

At a pre-tax margin of just 0.15% it leaves them around $1 million a day. At that rate a pre-tax annual amount of $365 million. If those daily trade figures were real then they would not be so pathetic with their media and social media management. They simply do not have the money therefore they are faking their figures.

Come on, we all know that these numbers exchanges claim to circle around are not real. Anyway I agree, they do make money from trading, and enough of that. (not speaking about the ridiculous high listing fees they´ve received in the past...) So there should be any problem paying 6-10 fulltime workers in support/customer-care. (if you want it...)

Instead I guess they pay 2 or 3 at the max to save expenses and fill their pockets - I honestly wonder that this tactic is still in place and they´ve managed to not drawn till date - anyway just a matter of time in my opinion (if they don´t change those points addressed).

P.S. the thread-title comes funny meanwhile

Yes the title has more than a sense of irony about it  Grin

Just as you said, the majority of exchanges are probably inflating anything from a few to most their key markets. The figures going around are mind-boggling. Absolute scams.

The failure on part of HitBTC to even try to hire a few customer care support team shows they are morally bankrupt as well as probably heading towards financial bankruptcy too

Hi guys, I am sorry we were not active in this thread.
I won't be able to reply to all of your messages from the beginning, but I'll do my best to follow up from now on.  We do care about our customers and their security, but I am really not sure how can I prove it to you. What I can do is ask my colleagues to take a look at your tickets, case by case. In my experience, all of them are resolved after all the information has been provided.
Let me check what is missing for each of your cases and how can we fix it together. Please let me know your tickets numbers and I will reply one by one.
Oh! Its good that your forum account is active once again and try to make some read back and point out which is the common issue among users.

On my side,my primary problem wayback is your fixed high fee for withdrawal. It havent changed since 2 years ago which i do believe this thing does contribute why
lots of users leave out this platform.
This is ridiculous they are not doing any thing about fees issues I am also feeling they need to think about this because now competition is very tough and many good exchanges around with very good fees and better support if they want to stay in they must do some good changes for customers.
With fees competition alone this is already out of the league.

. Any company with an ounce of self-respect or dignity worried about their reputation would have just gone back 5 or 6 pages to start answering the concerns.

Pathetic thing to say: "Hi guys, I am sorry we were not active in this thread."
It means that they do havent any respect into their users.lol What an unprofessional support they do had in that case. This is what im saying earlier where he should at least read up wayback yet its been flooded with complaints and if they are a good service, reading back wont really be an issue but it seems they are just too lazy enough.

Not eyeing too much when it comes to daily volume except on top tier exchange like binance and other similar levels but going lower is already out of my interest knowing that most exchangers do fake out their stats to attract users to trade to the platform.Even if they dont have that  real figures, hiring some support with a job of sorting all the issues exist towards their exchange wont really be a problem yet it will only need a small amount. In short they dont really care at all.

So you post at 1:55pm and then until now (11:20pm) you make no other posts addressing any points raised here but you try to cover yourself by adding "I won't be able to reply to all of your messages from the beginning, but I'll do my best to follow up from now on"?

You do not have to "I won't be able to reply to all of your messages from the beginning, but I'll do my best to follow up from now on". We do not want you to reply to future posts and nobody wants you to go back to the beginning. Any company with an ounce of self-respect or dignity worried about their reputation would have just gone back 5 or 6 pages to start answering the concerns.

Mate, you're supposed to reply to every pending ticket at HitBTC, not just the selective ones. Roll Eyes

So now, in order to get the issue resolved, will your traders have to create a ticket AS WELL AS make some noise at this forum to get noticed by your support? This is beyond ridiculous.

Many people forecast it is not long before HitBTC and Tradesatoshi steal on mass and shut down.

Oh, people forecast this?? Must be some really special people who read the future like an open book. If some people don't receive the money they should keep on contacting the support team.

Our exchange is among the oldest in existence and is operating since 2013. We have never lost a satoshi of our traders' funds - we have to take the risk of our security measures being temporarily uncomfortable, because safety, security, and integrity are our top priorities.

BS. I suggest you tell that to all the victims who's scam accusations you have ignored since day one:

Great post IconFirm  Wink

After reading your post above the HitBTC user never bothered to post in this forum again. Maybe that is the last we have heard of them.

Their fees when decide to play good are ridiculous.

Their lack of customer services skills are pathetic.

All the evidence suggests they are selective scamming and deliberately delaying withdrawals as a ploy and of course blocking accounts using "KYC" and "investigations" as an excuse to scam

As far as I use HitBTC, I don't have any complaints other than the fee that is big enough for now. Well, I hope HitBTC can be like it used to be   Cry

Well, I was dealing with them in a cooperative way (business) and was quite amazed how much BTC they ask for simple technical tasks, even with that huge amount of competition in the field, where each and every single exchange should make the utmost and cooperate in best manner with the projects that are listed and/or offer to pay for a listing.

From a private stance I will anyway avoid using them for the ridiculous high fees.

Next please...

Right now, I am one of many people frowning upon the terribly high fees of HitBTC. It so happened that there were specific altcoins in the past which were listed on HitBTC with a not-so-bad volume which were not admitted on other good exchanges. During those days, it was already a huge achievement when a coin is listed on Bittrex and Poloniex. And we all know that getting admitted on those exchanges is as hard as getting admitted to Binance today. That's how I got into HitBTC, and in cryptopia, among others. Until now, I am still doing some small trades in HitBTC and for a few years already I've no serious complaint against them.

But, just the same, I am fully aware of complaints after complaints raised against the exchange. They need to resolve them as soon as possible or else, just like Yobit, their brand is going to be equated with scam/shady.

False. Many users report giving all the requested data and still not receiving their money.

Besides, the KYC/AML procedure is invoked for even the smallest of amounts, like $50. This is not a practice focused on security. It's simply scamming, stalling and as mentioned above, possibly even identity theft.

HitBTC has never even tried to prove the IDs/documents are secured and the KYC requests are in any meaningful way justified. It's clear from all the complaints that a lot of users were directly harmed by the exchange and its affiliates. HitBTC is an unscrupulous and shady exchange. Avoid it like a plague.

Security precautions taken by HitBTC in the verification process are designed to prevent international money laundering and fraudulent schemes, which is a common practice for a financial institution. Most traders have absolutely no trouble passing the KYC.

Why are the complaints piling up? Why were these complaints not happening a couple of years ago at this pace? HitBTC has only itself to blame for its demise and disastrous reputation.

It is a trend commonly used by exchanges to freeze accounts under the guise of false pretexts ("KYC", "unusual activity", "hack"... ) just to steal user funds or just to buy time so they can get the funds in place and then un-block the user account again.
