If you want to get huge losses then hold it,  holding altcoins is not suitable strategy for me but still you are the one who will decide at the end of the day. I just want to day trade it because I have potential to earn in juat swing or momentum play of an altcoin. If you will hold make sure that you will buy liquid altcoins with high volume innorder for you to lessen the risks. There are now many people who regretted their decisions after they hold their altcoin but it still up to you.
actually, I'm one of the people who will hold Altcoin right now, specifically ethereum. what you said will be right when prices continue to fall, but that is the risk. however, if prices recover, altcoin prices will also recover, especially ethereum. however, there is always a risk from that. it can be a big advantage when the market moves to your liking. so far, I feel that prices will really recover

Agreed, time to fill our alt bags!

What do you mean previously, like before or after this Corona situation? The market was very volatile for the last 14 days, so i believe it is very dangerous tod daily trade.
I did reduce my daily trading a little, but it didn't stop it. I still trade altcoin in small quantities. it's a bit risky but I'm still in luck with a small profit. the best in conditions like this is medium-term trading, we can wait for the movement of several altcoins that have the potential to rise and fall quickly.

It was too late for me to sell the ETH I was holding, a few weeks ago I bought some ETH to hold but unfortunately, its price had collapsed and now I have lost more than 40%. Now that I continue to hold it and wait for the market, it may be a long time before I can get my profits back.

for now I think you are a little late because prices have gone up from a drastic decline late last year.
but buying now is also possible because there will be halving in the next 40 days.
hopefully it will be the beginning of a market increase.

Which altcoins are you hodling?

Majority is Ethereum and Binance(BNB) because these 2 is what i believe that may bring me Good amount of profit after this crisis ends.
I didn't sell any altcoins that I'm holding lately (i probably should), however, is it a smart idea to buy them now or wait a bit more?
yeah but you should have sold when the price still up first week of this month and bought again Low on that same day as the Fall happens within 16 hours

What are you holding? and what will you do?
stay holding for now because we have no chance of selling as we are in the dip, unless we badly need because of this pandemic so maybe some of us will sell sooner or later.

Holding coins especially altcoins for a very long time is not the best of ideas because most of them end up as useless projects without any real value on the market. Unless you have done a good research about the project I would not advise you to hold any coin from an IEO or ICO. Many crypto investors have lost huge amount of money during 2017 and 2018.
holding altcoin is indeed very risky if in a long time because the value always goes down can not last long, maybe you can hold the main coins such as bitcoin, eth, eos and others, I used to hold the initial neblio coin for $ 1 / coin in 2017 but in the end it dropped by half, fortunately I didn't keep the coin too long

Yeah, based on my experience, its not really good, even with coins that has good trading volume, it could also fail in the long run, the most stable is only bitcoin not altcoins, so holding altcoins is really a high risk, we can even take ETH for an example, it dump below $100 from almost $1400 of ATH.

Unless you have done a good research about the project I would not advise you to hold any coin from an IEO or ICO. Many crypto investors have lost huge amount of money during 2017 and 2018.
We all do research, but its just that the future is not in our control anymore, even devs are saying that every time investors are blaming the project when it dump.

The question you should answer or rather ask yourself is, what level of trust do you have in the altcoins you are holding? People who are holding BTC or ETH will hardly be disturbed because they believe in the coins as well as knowing that once the market changes positively they will have a greater chance of recovering than most coins. Thus, check the coin to know if you have to sell or hold. At this juncture, holding potential good coins is the best thing or rather stay in USDT while waiting for good entry point.

I don't think it's wise holding altcoins as it is now because of marker condition but it's all about choice. I know of some persons that are holding altcoins that got dipped after they bought and when it was filling they refused to sell. But as for me, I can't hold any altcoins at this point instead and trade them (buying and selling them).

The main coins that i have is Bitcoin, Ethereum and BNB. For altcoins i am still hold NPXS and VIDT.
For current situation i am keep hold and buy ( only top coins and not ICO coin )when the price dipp.
why do you still believe in VIDT? do you really think that this project will survive? the lost community competition on Binance and a lot of people stop to believe in them.

Am holding just one (1) altcoin and that is, ETH, although I missed to sell at a good price but am not alarmed because it is a good or rather the best altcoin so far.  Also, depending on the type of altcoin you are holding currently, if you believe in it and think it will recover when all calms down then you can hold if not, sell off and move on. And if you want to buy, it would be better to wait a bit more because of this pandemic. Lastly, about what I will do; am waiting for a good time to buy and hold more of ETH, BNB and Stellar.

Unless you are certain about the coin, holding altcoins with the market condition is a very big risk unless you are very sure of what you are holding. I am not a fan of long holding anyway. I am a day trader and as I buy I sell off once I see little profits. I have been hurt severally through holding so I do not try such anymore.

If you can, I recommend buying the dip, but the issue is that your own dip is another person's moon so in this case your dip becomes dipper and you would probably be left with no option than to wait for months or years before you can take out your capital.
