any investment is subject to market risk and the more profitable any investment is, the risk is higher - Bitcoin is a high-risk investment.

Ofcourse there is a certain of risk when you are holding given that Bitcoin is volatile so there's always a chance for its market value to fall as well as to increase. But since Bitcoin is known for its best on long term investment, surely investing into it will yield to huge profit so it won't be totally risky.
my opinion, in this world there is no more business which have no risk so without taking risk our investment is unprofitable, now we need to invest our capital in bitcoin without panicking and hold, because the crytocurrency market have fluctuation and if the market are stable then i think the number of its investor would be very less as compare to now.

As indicated by predictions bitcoin should have achieved 15k$ by end of 2017 and fall in first week of jan 2018

In any case, shockingly its effectively reached 17k$ in 2017.

Should I purchase or hold my btc?I don't plan to sell at any point in the near future.

For those traders who are holding a huge amount of cryptocurrency, the best to do is just hold your coins and do not sell your coins at the lowest price to avoid of losing your profit. The value of bitcoins in the market today is low but still it will go back to normal after a few months.

Holding is the best strategy in crypto world as being a short term investor would make impatient and emotional. I would prefer to move between different cryptos when I feel it is time to take profit, but not fiat currency. The ones who held bitcoin from the beginning are the ones who are millionaires now.

I don't have that many BTCs and most of my crypto-holdings are in the form of alts. Till now, I have benefited from holding, as my altcoins have risen quite a bit during the last few months. But I don't know how to cash them out, as in my country crypto-trading is illegal.
I guess you've been through a hard time when everything in the crypto markets are falling without brake. But be strong mate, they gonna bounce back soon and learn the way to cash them out when it happens.

Holding is a risk because you don't know where the value of bitcoin will rise again. Maybe it will take a month or worst a year. But you hold your bitcoin, you will sure that it will grow. That is the risk in holding a bitcoin, but you may sure that it will grow sooner or later. Just sit, wait and relax.

Due to the volatility of any cryptocurrency,,it may go down and up the risk is always there.
Facts, there are many people are still unaware of digital currency, BTC, is still at it's infancy
stage with incomplete features that are indevelopment.

With this facts, and the information of several countries like china, korea and Russia banning the btc
which somehow affect the trend in BTC.

There will always be a risk in investments. Its nature is that one can't exactly predict what will happen to it in the future. Though one thing we can donis have some research. With this research, we can make an educated guess on what might happen.
Exactly all investment are risks this is necessary to know the investment you are joining. Holding on a coin is a very risks in the sense that we don't know when will be the price can recover. So, always be updated on the project that in the end you can be the winner in the market.

long term holding like for a year or months, in my opinion is a good idea but also we should always be updated at the same time for there are also risks in holding just like what happened to my friend who invested in bitconnect and hold for about a months, it was a big profit in his part until he stop updating and just pure holding then until he was just told by us that bitconnect crash and after checking his account it was totally empty. Although he wasnt hack but it was empty.

Holding bitcoin for me is not risky. I can say that holding bitcoins is a great way to grow our money. You should become aware that the value of the bitcoin is going up so holding bitcoins is really good strategy.

It depends on the coin that you are holding. Hold a coin that is full of potential like bitcoins, ethereum, neo and many more promising altcoins. Do not hold a shitcoins because there is a high chance that it can lose its value anytime.

Everything is risky in cryptos. So only invest an amount that you can afford to risk it all.
Else you will only panic when the price drops.

Holding is risky for multiple reasons, and the possibility of another crash occurring is only one of the risk-factors. There are other potential negatives as well, such as a blanket ban on the trade of crypto-currency and some hacker stealing your coins. My advice would be to do profit booking at regular intervals.

In my opinion, holding bitcoin is at risk because the price can fall anytime. Indeed, it has the potential to increase its value more than we can imagine because it happened already, but a sudden dropping of price also happened which made some investors lose a huge amount of money. It is very disappointing to lose a huge amount of money that's why some expertise, advice is to make sure about everything that we do, though sometimes it is not 100 % but still having knowledge would be a big help. We invest and trade to make a profit not to lose a penny.
