Chronic pain doesn't happen without a reason.  You need to find the etiology of the disease, a medical examination will help you find it.  It may be myalgia or some other pathology.  Perhaps you should go in for medical and physical culture or take courses of physiotherapy, sanatorium treatment.  There are many options

I usually have chronic waist pain when I over work or stand for a long period of time. Am not the type that likes drug cos I hardly take them. What I normally do is to have a very hot water bath, drink very hot tea or coffee and den lay down to rest and I notice I always feel better, even if it's not 100% but at least 80% OK is good enough

I would recommend you to indulge in some physical activity. However, you should consult a doctor. There might be an underlying cause of it, maybe a bad sleeping  or sitting posture.

It seems to me that the best way is to first of all accept the situation as it is and then make every effort to switch to something else. It helps to switch work well, routine work makes a person forget about everything gradually and look at the situation from the outside

I am one of many who seems to have chronic pain. I refuse to take painkillers because of what they can do to my body.
I am basically stuck using ice and heat. I don't have a bathtub so I don't have the option to use things like Epsom salt.
My pain is in my lower back, shoulders, and neck.

What do you do to handle pain?
do you consult your doctor about this? because there might be something inside your body that results that pain.

that's good not to rely in Painkillers because they will only bring more issues inside you.

If it is trapped nerves, pulled muscles, ligament issue or sciatica then stretching properly sometimes helps and correcting poor posture, sleeping position along with correct breathing technique unless your issue is related to a serious medical illness or injury. Sometimes pain can be a useful tool to keep your mind focused on more important things and helps purge weakness from your mind and body but that is for another discussion.

I suggest you go to the doctor for a check-up. If you don't want medical treatment, you can take herbal medicine with massage and take herbal medicine. The most important thing is to think positively to recover.

If we do experience chronic pain that does not improve in a long time, it is indeed the best step to come to the doctor. Let the doctor give us a solution,
but some people really refuse to take the medicine that the doctor gives, because drugs have bad side effects for our bodies. Like you said the other
way might be to use herbal medicine, now information is easy to find. Use Google search engine to find the herbal medicine we need, the most
important thing is not to let the pain that we experience in a long time. To relieve pain in the body I suggest acupuncture, it's an ancient Chinese
medical practice that has been shown to be effective in relieving chronic pain.

I always distract myself and don't think about the pain, it makes it easier to deal with
If you can do that easily, this cannot work for others by just distracting themselves from the pain. But what you're doing is good for you if you keep yourself busy.

I've seen people that went through pain and this is what they did.

If it is a physical pain, you have to grit your teeth and persevere, turn your attention away, and think about other things to reduce the pain. If it is a psychological pain, you have to grit your teeth as well! Too often, only if you are strong, you can overcome everything! Psychological pain is nothing more than being broken in love, losing a loved one, failing in business, being in debt, being deceived, etc. Now that it has happened, it is better to face it! Being immersed in pain and unable to extricate itself will only increase pain! When you face it with an optimistic attitude, the pain is naturally less and less! At any time, it is better to rely on others than on yourself!

Drink honey with warm water & always keep hydrated. If you won’t take painkillers then there’s not much else you can do other than take natural supplements. Try & keep relatively fit, maybe take up yoga & deep breathing exercises. Also ensure you sit & sleep with good posture.

I usually search home remedies to soothe the pain and see after a week if the pain subsides, if it still doesn’t work then I’d go see a doctor and see what pain killers I can take that are home made or one that doesn’t need pills to soothe the pain.

For small thigs the home remedies might work. But generally, I do consult the doctor right in beginning because at times stretching for long days on such things might not be right when in the end, we must visit doctor only. So better just to get the right treatment from the start which is more beneficial too.

Diverting attention can relieve the pain. I usually lie in bed to sleep when it is very painful. When I fall asleep, I can't feel it anymore. Cheesy

I guess diverting the attention to things that can produce feeling that is opposite of the pain.

I usually prefer to let my pain stay, then try multiple things to see what works for me consistently and very effectively.
As a religious person, diverting attention to deep prayers, having enough faith, deeply focusing on GOD's Words  work for me always. .. But sometimes i feel I don't have to keep bothering GOD for thesame pains/illness I most likely caused myself by always allowing unhealthy things like bad foods/air into my body, probably due to the environment I live in, and that I'm unlikely to stop living in soon ...  I then decide to try multiple natural treatments like:
1. drinking blended fruits/vegs,
2. drinking warm water,
3. drinking warm tea/herbs,
4. doing nice things to people (which kind of increase happiness/joy) , etc.
I think doing 1 to 4 (esp 4) works consistently for me... but tend to work gradually rather than immediately.  The faith-based ones work quickly/immediately.
