I'm curious about your own gambling lifestyle. Do you set aside specific times each day or week for gambling?

No, I'm not following any pattern except I'm listening to soft music to calm me during my session, setting up a pattern is not good as it will lead you to addiction.

When you do things and set up a pattern, your mind and body trigger dopamine which you need to take consciously to satisfy your needs, it becomes embedded in your mind like when you gamble the same time daily on a specific place, the urge to do that becomes stronger, that it's become uncontrollable and that leads to addiction.

Gamble because you want to not because you need to, and have full control of your action, this will save you from becoming addicted to gambling.

I think to each theor own on this one you really can't mimmick someone else's habits it might work for them but not for you.  In terms of gambling if I ever feel the "need" to gamble I take note and try to stay away.  For me if gambling isn't fun then it's time to stop for that specific period.  That has served me well through the years.

I'm interested in what you have to say, I'll quote it. "if gambling isn't fun then it's time to stop" to be honest, I don't really understand the point you're saying. but I try to assume it, it seems that if gambling is no longer giving you wins, then it's better to stop it because it's no longer fun. should, ideally like you do. however, only a few gamblers are able to do so. and yes, it served you well.

Referring to the title of this thread, I have read there are many responses from the community with various assumptions and quite interesting. me personally, as I posted in the previous thread. I have no particular pattern, it all depends on the free time I have. plus, mood. of all types of betting, I tend to bet on football. sometimes when I'm bored, I play several other games, especially slots. however, as I quoted. if the gambling session isn't fun then it's time to stop. and I think, this quote is good for gamblers.
Yeah I agree with you on stopping the habit if its isn't fun for you but the truth to be told, I don't think most gambler that claim to gamble just for fun actually do gamble for just that purpose as the act is normally practice in my place by folks who are big time dreamers and feel they could have an easy escape to their hard life by hitting a miraculous win through gambling especially sports betting. Those set of people don't actually gamble because it is fun for them but they feel its an obligation which is pretty bad if you ask me because you might just end up an addict to the habit.

I like to place small bets on the weekend and sometimes go for the longer shot offers at different bookmakers. There seems to be so much more variety available when the football is on, but besides that formula one can be interesting as well. As long as it stays small it feels like more fun for me at least, I would prefer to lose smaller amounts and gain small wins, than lose bigger amounts. However I'm up at the one main bookmaker that I use, purely by playing their regular free games consistently every day - they are rather generous so it feels fine to have a little flutter and give them something back occasionally. No tracking involved, but I'm withdrawing every few months so happy with that, I think it's the people who overstretch, get greedy or think they'll be millionaires from this that get into trouble.
Football is my favorite sport; betting on games in that category is simple, and I only take risks when I see substantial odds that I'm convinced will result in winnings. Wagering on games inother to print cool cash from the system, it's never an easy tasks. Every time I gamble, I prepare my emotions to meet the worst-case scenario. Gambling has its own set of strategies, but I only use the one that works the best for me. I gamble during weekdays, but with lower sums, because these games typically follow forecasts, as opposed to weekend games, which entail massive odds and are often perplexing.

I don't have a gambling addiction, but I acknowledge that there are issues with my gambling habits that need to be addressed and corrected. One of the effective ways to tackle this is by observing, imitating, or modifying the patterns of other gamblers to suit me best. I'm curious about your own gambling lifestyle. Do you set aside specific times each day or week for gambling?
At first, I am also the same as you not a gambling addicted person. But when I am doing gambling I mostly Like to do sports betting but I don't have specific times for it but I have a monthly budget for it and I always try to myself comfort on that range. And the reason for this is that while taking entertainment, the things should not be a cause of trouble.

Quote
If you enjoy sports betting, do you bet on games throughout the week whenever they're available?

To say that I mainly like sports betting and that is cricket game, and since it is a popular game available almost every week, and I bet only if there is a team of my choice or a good series. But here there is no such routine that I have to gamble, you can say it may be because of not having any addiction. So here my mood is important before match betting is available
Quote
When it comes to visiting casinos, do you play at one today or this week and then try out a different one the next time you want to gamble? As for bankroll management, do you track it using an app, Excel, or any other methods? And regarding your environment, do you prefer playing at an online casino while listening to music in the background, or do you prefer a quiet atmosphere? I may have missed other aspects, but these questions should suffice for now. I look forward to reading your thoughts and comments.
I don't want to say much about casino games because it is currently illegal in my country. So I have never been to a casino in real life and playing games there is far from it. Also, I don't like casino games very much because I have trouble understanding them, so I don't play online casino also. So I don't want to add any comments on this

Do you set aside specific times each day or week for gambling?
So far, almost every day I set aside a little time to enjoy some gambling games. I did that to entertain myself even though I didn't have much money as capital to play.
Understandably, we are not big gamblers like other gambling players.

If you enjoy sports betting, do you bet on games throughout the week whenever they're available?
I can make sure that I place bets almost every weekend. As long as Europe's top leagues stopped, I also stopped betting, although occasionally I also placed bets on friendly national team matches.

Because of the “house edge”, complicated gambling patterns are never good for anything other than making you poor and the casino rich.

I have a pattern too and it is the simplest pattern you will ever see in your life and the best thing about it that it actually beats the house edge.

What do I do?

I only bet once. That’s it.

Let’s say I have $500 available. I wager it on a game and it is over. If I win, that’s great. If I lose, too bad. Doing that I almost don’t get affected by the house edge.

Do you set aside specific times each day or week for gambling?
I do gamble anytime whenever I am comfortable.

If you enjoy sports betting, do you bet on games throughout the week whenever they're available?
Yes, just as how available I am and if I am in mood.

When it comes to visiting casinos, do you play at one today or this week and then try out a different one the next time you want to gamble?
Doing all of it at my free will and free time. I might play one or two for this day and more by next week, it all depends on the situation I am in.

As for bankroll management, do you track it using an app, Excel, or any other methods?
Nope. A loss is gone forever on me but a win is recorded on my mind.  Tongue

And regarding your environment, do you prefer playing at an online casino while listening to music in the background, or do you prefer a quiet atmosphere? I may have missed other aspects, but these questions should suffice for now. I look forward to reading your thoughts and comments.
I like quiet atmosphere because I can think and focus more with what I do, not just in gambling.

"How is your gambling pattern like?"... interesting question, it got me thinking a bit. Smiley

Well, I gamble when I catch some free time... and that can be at any time of the day. Usually, I play slots or some in-house games, and if there are some football games I will probably place a bet or two. I am active in 2-3 casinos, and generally, my playing is pretty much mixed. I get hooked on some games, in the past weeks, I have been playing ELK provider a lot (at BC)... but after some time something else appears and I move to that. So I guess my pattern looks a bit chaotic, but for me, gambling is all about fun and entertainment...

I don't have a pattern or rules when it comes to gambling. But as for my gambling lifestyle, I am strict with putting only a certain amount of funds on my account so that I can only use that amount as my limit. Whenever I win, whether it's big or not, I withdraw most of it and will only allocate a small percentage of it so that I will still have some funds left to continue gambling. Additionally, I only have a specific limit of the amount I can bet on every game so that it wouldn't hurt me that much when I lose.

But there are other cases where I can't control myself. For example, I would tell myself that I will rest and won't bet for the meantime yet tomorrow, I'll find myself making a bet. I admit that sometimes it gets hard to control yourself as a gambler, and that's also what gamblers should build and develop.

I am not tracking my gambling results because I am not depositing or withdrawing regularly. My balance is my only basis if I have reached my limit or not yet. Nowadays, I don't have a lot of free time so gambling addiction is the last that I need to worry about. I even missed a lot of games and tournaments that I usually bet like DOTA 2, NBA, boxing, and MMA.

The best way to control your gambling is to keep yourself busy. I am pretty sure that there is a lot of stuff that you are interested in. Pay attention to them or look for any activities like fixing something in your house and others.

There are quite a number of questions to be answered.
I never intended to be like what you do, observe other people's games and modify it to fit the way I play because in my opinion it won't have any impact because other players certainly won't fully open their way of playing including when they lose, it will it's better to stick with the way we play and regarding bankroll never record it because every time I make a deposit it's really only money that I can afford to lose, including time I don't have a specific time or a fixed time allocation because I will only play when I really want to play including when I want to bet on sports betting it depends on whether there is a really interesting match going on or when I really want to bet.

Actually I want to give up gambling altogether, but it's very difficult. Now I limit myself to only playing on weekends.. But sometimes I still lust, and spend all my weekly pay. If that happens, I will ban myself from playing until next month.

If you want to give up completely from gambling, you first have to restrict yourself from any forms of gambling relating activities which could also be promotions like what you're doing by wearing your signature campaign codes that's a gambling platforms, you have to cut all connections.

It might be because you're always writing on the gambling section of the forum due to your campaigns requirements that's why you're finding it difficult to quit. When you noticed gambling isn't benefiting you, you have to stop playing because you'll be causing more harm.

We have other campaigns that aren't focusing on the gambling boards, you can enroll in any of them and post on other boards without been denied payment because if you do that while in your campaign, you'll not meet up the weekly demand by the campaign and not get paid.

Mostly on weekends.

Quote

Not whenever they're available. I seldom bet on games that I don't research so I usually gamble on weekends where I have more time to read.

Quote

An excel file is enough for this. There's no need to make it complicated.

Quote

I haven't really thought about this. I usually play in silence but I guess having a background music is fine as long as it's not upbeat.

My current gambling pattern after being able to manage it well and not as massive as before when I was still addicted, today playing gambling only when I have more money than all the necessities of payment that I have to make, including investment, emergency funds, cash funds and others, after That's all I take to finish and have more money, that's where I have the opportunity to have fun in gambling, this makes my gambling pattern more calm and do not have any ambitions to win in gambling either in ball gambling or other games if I don't have More money then I will not do gambling, except maybe when I get a tip from my friend, I will do gambling at that time too.

My betting pattern is quite simple, I will only gamble when I have more money to play with, and that also depends on whether I have enough free time to gamble at that time or not. The reason is that I often experience where I have more money but I don't have time to play, and when I have free time to gamble I don't have real money I can play with it, or in other words the money is already in the list of available money. I will use it for other needs. I'm not going to push myself too hard, because that's not a good thing. For example, I have money but I don't have time, I force myself to play, it will make my work neglected later. Or for example, another example, where I have free time and don't have money and I'm forced to play using the money I have, obviously this is the wrong thing that will make it difficult for me later.

We have to be smart to do the smallest things in gambling, this habit is the most appropriate habit for me personally, and it makes me still gamble without any problems to this day.
For me free time is always my concern when gambling due to my hectic work schedule. Money doesn't need to be huge in order to play because casino offers low minimum bet so that small bankroll player can still enjoy gambling even with small amount of money. I'm always using 10USDT bankroll if I don't have money while I'm bored during my free time. I manage to win huge amount using that small money which proves that you don't need huge bankroll just to win or simply enjoy the game.

You can use the minimum deposit and play slow using games with low minimum bet. Changing currency will help you to decrease further minimum bet since some fiat currency has low minimum bet than normal currency.
Yes, we can play using as little money as possible when we don't have extra money, but for me it is a situation where we force ourselves to keep playing, even though we don't have extra money. But that goes back to our habits, of course, as long as we don't over-allocate money when we don't have money, or only have barely enough money.
I usually when I have mediocre money I have to be on guard when I need money suddenly, because if I play mediocre money, that's not good in my opinion.
And when I have free time but I can't play, I usually do other activities, such as playing with my nephew.

I used to exclusively gamble on Saturdays for an hour or two, and I would only play dice and call it quits afterwards. That pattern was on for almost a year before I became busy and moved on to other things. Right now, I still find time to gamble, although not as regular as it was 3 months ago and not much has changed. I don't look for the casino, nor do my hands itch to get a game going. I know I wasn't hooked, but being a habit that I tried to keep for so long, it really messed me in a way that I feel like something is missing in a week if I don't gamble even just for a few minutes.
It means that you are a consistent person, the same as what I do also gamble only on weekends because I have busy work demands so that I have to make money for my family through work, gamble on weekends at least every week there is time to gamble you don't have to gamble every day after all sitting a few hours using a cell phone playing casino games to kill time and also waiting for the ball game to start.

I prefer to bet on football sports betting which usually happens mostly on weekends so I can take the time for that and while waiting for the match to start I play casino games to get rid of boredom and it's fun. if we continue to be consistent then we will not become addicts, there is nothing wrong with looking for fun for just a few hours in gambling.  Wink

I've also switched to sports betting a few months back, and I'm following eSports mainly but also do some basketball and motosports on the side. It's a lot more engaging and eats up less time IMO, and doesn't require me to sit in front of my computer for 2 hours just to play. I can bet on the go, follow news on the events being held, and still be able to do other things. It's a lot more freeing to do sports betting if you're not investing yourself into it that much - similar to us casual gamblers.

That means you still have limited gambling patterns and this can help you become a responsible gambler.
You stated that you have been in this way for more than a year, so that means that in the future it will be even easier if want to quit.
Very rarely have I come across a gambler who can have limits and completely control every game he makes.
Sometimes people forget what the impact of gambling is and they don't think about the long term which could actually bring ruin.
I once tried to only play one game with very limited game sessions but in the end it all failed.

I recognized I have spent way too much in dice for a year that I have to do something about it. Imagine, $20 a week and multiply it by 52. That's already a thousand dollars just for gambling in a year that I could have spent on another object or another expense.

Now I rarely play gambling, unlike before I gamble almost every day until my money runs out and then stop. It was bad experience for me. Now I can control myself in gambling, I play only when I'm in a good mood

I usually play at night, I think night is a quiet time so I can focus and enjoy every bet. I didn't spend a lot of money, I just deposited a little money and played it casually.

Actually I want to give up gambling altogether, but it's very difficult. Now I limit myself to only playing on weekends.. But sometimes I still lust, and spend all my weekly pay. If that happens, I will ban myself from playing until next month.
It's good if you can now control yourself in gambling because that's what a gambler must have so he doesn't fall into gambling. If you can keep learning to control yourself in gambling, you won't encounter difficulties such as not knowing when to stop or how much money you can use in gambling.

And it is true that when playing gambling, we must relax and not think about getting a win because gambling is not a place to make money. If you win, it is a bonus for you but if you lose, consider it a gambling risk and not think about recovering the loss. It's difficult to stop gambling altogether but I'm sure you can do it because you can control yourself well. It is only a matter of time before you can stop gambling altogether and until then, enjoy gambling as entertainment.
