The important thing for me, and what I’ve taught myself, is that I shouldn’t ever have a “pattern” for when I’m placing sports bets (this makes up the vast majority of my gambling). For me I simply place bets when I feel confident in the teams I’m placing bets on. I rarely ever force it, just to get some “action”, unless it’s like a huge game such as the superbowl.

Same like you i also have interest in the sports gambling. They are two reason for this, first it is the love for the sports and secondly my track record on the casino games are usually not good and I think I am unlucky playing the casino games.

I don't say that all of my sports bets go in a win but majority of them do end up in a positive manner. I don't know but most people will agree that a chances of winning on sport betting are higher than the chances on winning on the traditional casino games

Yes, I agree that the chances of winning in sports betting are higher than the traditional casino games. But only if you are a sports fan and betting on the matches and events you know something about. Then your skill comes to the fore and not just luck, as is the case with casino games. Sports betting requires both, skill (knowledge) and luck.

And, when it comes to my betting and gambling success, I don't even wanna go there, honestly. I'd be stoked if I just break even, but I seriously doubt that's happening. I'm probably way in the red. But whatever, who's keeping tabs, right? As long as we're having fun, that's what really matters, isn't it?  Cheesy

I don't have a gambling addiction, but I acknowledge that there are issues with my gambling habits that need to be addressed and corrected. One of the effective ways to tackle this is by observing, imitating, or modifying the patterns of other gamblers to suit me best. I'm curious about your own gambling lifestyle. Do you set aside specific times each day or week for gambling? If you enjoy sports betting, do you bet on games throughout the week whenever they're available? When it comes to visiting casinos, do you play at one today or this week and then try out a different one the next time you want to gamble? As for bankroll management, do you track it using an app, Excel, or any other methods? And regarding your environment, do you prefer playing at an online casino while listening to music in the background, or do you prefer a quiet atmosphere? I may have missed other aspects, but these questions should suffice for now. I look forward to reading your thoughts and comments.
I don't go to the casino every day. I only allocate a little of my money to play in the casino every week. or bet for some favorite team that is playing. this gives me enough time to be in the casino that doesn't make me feel more tired when playing. i was at the casino on the weekend after the routine of my busy life. so I really just want to have fun at the casino though still I'll be hoping there's a win I can get.

Not at all. For me, it has always been about the availability of matches and they are more available during the weekends and sometimes, weekdays. So it's based on availability.  I don't play a lot of casinos so when I do, it's completely random.

As for bankroll management, do you track it using an app, Excel, or any other methods?

I have tried tracking my performance and bets using a spreadsheet but I don't know if it's just me but I didn't really vibe with it. I know journaling and tracking bets is essential to know mistakes and possible routes to take to mitigate losses etc but it just wasn't for me. I'm on the lookout for a more suitable method that suits my style.

And regarding your environment, do you prefer playing at an online casino while listening to music in the background, or do you prefer a quiet atmosphere?

I perform better at certain tasks in a quiet environment so I prefer and love the peace and quiet.

I bet mostly on weekends when I am free or when there are games that interest me. Most of my gambling experience since after Covid 19 is online. But I have a specific casino I visit offline. I have a good relationship with the owner so I always want to visit occasionally.

I don't handle my gambling life that formally. I don't see it as a formal venture that needs comprehensive record-keeping. I might have records of my bets based on the records I get from my account, but I don't put any extra effort to document them. The environment doesn't also really matter to me, but I will prefer a situation that will make me concentrate. But having soft and meaningful music in the background will not be a bad idea. But if there is no sound, it's still okay.

I also don't keep records either as I don't want to be reminded of my losses and just feel unsatisfied about what my gambling journey has gone through. I prefer gambling whenever I'm free without no distractions and of course, if I'm well conditioned emotionally and physically.
I also prefer gambling in a good environment where I can concentrate so I can easily make good decisions. We all know that background noise might destruct our concentration and we could be out of focus. That's why the weekend would be best for it preferably every evening where there will be no disturbances at all.

When it comes to visiting casinos, do you play at one today or this week and then try out a different one the next time you want to gamble?
I play at one casino until I am no longer satisfied with the services they offer. When I get disappointed I look for the next best casino to play in. I do not try to play in new casino's just because I want to try new things, I do not think it is really safe to do that.

regarding your environment, do you prefer playing at an online casino while listening to music in the background, or do you prefer a quiet atmosphere?
In an offline casino with many, music can make the environment more lively instead of just listening to the noise from people around in the casino, but in online casinos where you play privately, being quite is good for me.

Do you set aside specific times each day or week for gambling?

No I dont have set specific time for my gambling activity, I will play whenever I want and whenever I have spare money.
I can start and stop anytime as I wish, so I have no issue with gambling time.

When it comes to visiting casinos, do you play at one today or this week and then try out a different one the next time you want to gamble?

I have few favorite places to play but I do not set it like a schedule, almost the same as my first answer that it is as what I wish.

As for bankroll management, do you track it using an app, Excel, or any other methods?

No I dont track my bankroll management for the entire time but what I set is that I have a limit for my every gambling session.
Limit on both losing and winning, so I'll stop anytime I reach the limit on both situations.

And regarding your environment, do you prefer playing at an online casino while listening to music in the background, or do you prefer a quiet atmosphere?

Most of the time I'm listening to my favorite music by opening youtube music while gambling but sometime I prefer to be in quiet mode (only listening to the music/backsound of the game).

Yea, I do gamble during the weekend because I am always busy during the week and wouldn't have a spare time for gambling.

If you enjoy sports betting, do you bet on games throughout the week whenever they're available?
No I don't, I only gamble on games that I have 60%-70% knowledge on,this is after doing my own research. I hardly gamble on games that I have little knowledge on.

When it comes to visiting casinos, do you play at one today or this week and then try out a different one the next time you want to gamble?
Most times I stick to one game, but I can try a different game when I am gambling with my friends just for fun. I visit the casino twice or thrice a week.

As for bankroll management, do you track it using an app, Excel, or any other methods?
I only set aside a specific amount that I use for gambling every week so that when I have exhausted it,I stop gambling and wait till the next week.

And regarding your environment, do you prefer playing at an online casino while listening to music in the background, or do you prefer a quiet atmosphere?
Gambling is for and a means of entertainment,so I do enjoy gambling when listening to music, because the music wouldn't make me feel sad when I loss in a game.

I'm starting to think I got used to this kind of activity every day but I'm still aware that I'm not an addict. No specific pattern but I bet every time I have my phone. I should not use the phone anymore if I should quit.  Grin

You seem to be defining what it is already  Grin When you have the pulse to do one thing consistently, it shows you kind of getting use to that thing. I guess there may be levels of addiction just maybe you are not sure yet if you are there yet  Grin. But on a lighter note, it does happen especially if you play online, you are tempted to always check to see what's happening with the game and checking either livescore if FT is to your favour.

It's not very different to what you do as well. Like anyone here, users constantly check the coinmarketcap or coingecko when they have browsers on their phones. I bet you unconsciously do it too even before you have your breakfast. That is sort of an addiction I think.

Nothing wrong with it too but like you said levels of addiction. It becomes a pattern as every day as its a repetitive task especially if you earn some BTC here.
There are some of us who bet on sports that only have one event which is every weekend, particularly UFC sport, that is also the time they pour all their pay but I don't think they are addicts.

My betting pattern is quite simple, I will only gamble when I have more money to play with, and that also depends on whether I have enough free time to gamble at that time or not. The reason is that I often experience where I have more money but I don't have time to play, and when I have free time to gamble I don't have real money I can play with it, or in other words the money is already in the list of available money. I will use it for other needs. I'm not going to push myself too hard, because that's not a good thing. For example, I have money but I don't have time, I force myself to play, it will make my work neglected later. Or for example, another example, where I have free time and don't have money and I'm forced to play using the money I have, obviously this is the wrong thing that will make it difficult for me later.

We have to be smart to do the smallest things in gambling, this habit is the most appropriate habit for me personally, and it makes me still gamble without any problems to this day.
For me free time is always my concern when gambling due to my hectic work schedule. Money doesn't need to be huge in order to play because casino offers low minimum bet so that small bankroll player can still enjoy gambling even with small amount of money. I'm always using 10USDT bankroll if I don't have money while I'm bored during my free time. I manage to win huge amount using that small money which proves that you don't need huge bankroll just to win or simply enjoy the game.

You can use the minimum deposit and play slow using games with low minimum bet. Changing currency will help you to decrease further minimum bet since some fiat currency has low minimum bet than normal currency.

For me I don't think I have any specific time or way that I practice my gambling habits, for me its all about the moment, whenever I feel like gambling and I know I have spare cash am not using I just fund my wallet and start forecasting for some nice games to put my cash on. But for sport betting I prefer just betting on teams I have passion for so I guess for that aspect it will be on an occasional period for example like this period when not much league are in action I just snub sport betting because I don't feel comfortable putting my money on teams I have no idea about.

Personally, my gambling pattern consists in setting a determined sum of money to gamble and doing the best I can with that, cashing out the profit made in real time, in small amounts, so I can use it for my daily needs.

And once I hit the feared long term, consequently losing my initial bankroll, I can only start gambling again once I recover that sum of money through another sources of income which don't involve gambling activity.

This way I keep myself safe from bankruptcy and from losing money I need for my daily appointments.

I don't have a definite pattern for my gambling lifestyle, nor do I visit casinos because Indonesia doesn't have that, so I only play on crypto casinos like Rollbit, Stake.com and BK8. When I gamble on a type of game like Slots, I will only play at random times when I want to play it, I will not play this type of game on weekends, because in my opinion, it will destroy quality time with my family.

On the other hand, for the Sportsbook I will only play on weekends, because there are lots of big matches that are difficult to manipulate (as we know that the mafia is real). And about the Bankroll, I'm not managing it using the tools you describe, I'll just allocate some of my money to gamble, when it becomes x3 minimum I'll make a withdrawal, and when it runs out, I won't play anymore for that week.

Gambling especially sports betting in particular doesn't have a specific or defined pattern, you have to tweak your ways into winning some bets. As you have said, sometimes you have to observed instead of wasting money on lose bets, you have to sit and don't even play at all, and while doing that, you should have another strategy onsight to bet this next game.
What I have observed in sport betting is that, in the beginning of the leagues, there are some difficulty to make predictions because of reshuffle of players but in the half way of the season, things does becomes crystal clear to bet on favorite players that is why it's good to even bets on some teams to lose rather than expected them to win and regarding tracking of loss games, I don't use Excell, my funding app has historically transactions of money I have sent and receive and with the bank App, it's easier to export the doc into excel for calculations.

Fortunately, my gambling patterns are somehow intermittent- there will be days where I feel gambling; and there are also days where I vowed to myself to never gamble again. Though this may be the case, you can consider that I am stuck in this loop, like an on/off switch.

I usually set 10% of my monthly salary for gambling and I split it for four weeks which mean I only gamble 2.5% every week. I don't set any time before I gamble, I will gamble when I'm free until my bankroll empty. But if I'm lucky and I win some money, I will use that money for gambling in the next month. If I won a big amount money, I would withdraw it immediately after I met the minimum wagering requirement.
Setting a limit and getting fixed to it is really good. Myself have the limit, but the urge to win the lost amount keeps me active throughout the month. During the first week I use the payment for gambling and I loss it. Further I used to wait for the second week's payment and wager to recover the loss and stop.

Things won't be in favour of us and ends in loss. This is the gambling pattern of mine, and at times I've also won and cashed out bitcoin to have fun. I don't have the habit of holding it for the next month's gambling need.

Setting a limit to your bets may be considered one of the effective ways to reduce your activity in gambling websites. If you have limited resources at your disposal, you are somehow forced to stop at a certain threshold if you reached the capped of your gambling expenditures.

If you're a daily gambler, for sure you'd be filled with ups and downs and if worse, down for a week or more. Problem is we cannot be certain of winning. Losing most of the time is more evident to majority of gamblers. The more we gamble, the bigger the chance of losing. I think profit will be fully earned if you know how to limit oneself or to know when to stop. Perhaps you win bigtime;if greed will take over and you would push yourself to experience it again, then what's more likely to happen is for your winnings to be eaten up by losses. This is the unfortunate reality in gambling that no matter how we wanted to be rich by means of gambling, it would always be a punch to the moon.

Seem we are all very aware of our gambling activity so far. I myself have been observing my own that every time I get my phone, I tend to look at my bets whether I won or not and then check also some matches. Nothing to track actually since all those are in the platform's record.

I'm starting to think I got used to this kind of activity every day but I'm still aware that I'm not an addict. No specific pattern but I bet every time I have my phone. I should not use the phone anymore if I should quit.  Grin
