you don't need to prepare just be ready to fly to a remote island
build a place underground where to hide, have some food and water supplies
You have to make yourself smart, tough, and mean. And you have to have a group of people with a similar mindset. You cannot survive alone. The biggest question in my mind would be do you dig in or stay on the move. I keep myself in shape, have enough supplies to last 10-12 months and have identified the handful of people i will want to team up with and trust. All that and you still may perish in the first 30 seconds.

You need to prepare yourself emotionally and spiritually.

I live in Europe and i am convinced that a world war will happen within the next 30 years, probably with nuclear weapons. There will be no internet, food, electricity, water available. Banks are closed so i can't get my money. No fuel in fuelstations so i can't use my car. No meds available everything is plundered in pharmacy's. Stores and wallmarts are plundered as well so no food.
What do i need to do to survive?

The best thing that you must do to survive in the world war 3 is hope. Hope that world war 3 never ever happen in this world. Everyday i always pray and hope that there are no wars in this world because the effect of war can damage to many people. The disadvantages of war is more rather than advantages. We must try to avoid the war, the little thing that we can do maybe can effect for the many people.
If world war 3 happen, it's our fate to face it. Just depend by God and always think everything will be ok.
This is a very interesting question that I haven't thought of before. The best thing to do is to be ahead of the war. Build an Emergency Supply Kit, which includes items like non-perishable food, water, a battery-powered or hand-crank radio, extra flashlights and batteries. You may want to prepare a kit for your workplace and a portable kit to keep in your car in case you are told to evacuate.

A cave won't save you in that scenario. You'd need an actual bunker or be very far away. ))
You just need a loud voice training. if the war really does happen you will not run out of your voice when you ask the security forces for help

I don't think you can get prepared for this. Wars never come in time so.. We can only hope for the best and enjoy every peaceful day.

I think the closest war that can happen is only a Cold War wherein it might appear that we are having a war because of the weapons prepared to fire at each other at any given command but as long as there's no party triggering it to happen, it wont happen.
You have to believe and have faith in humanity. Our technology for creating such destructive weapons are advancing every year, but remember that our passion for each other's welfare advances too. We only need those weapons as defense not as an initial offensive attack. No one wants war to happen so I believe the war will end before it even happens. Who's with me on this?
