this wont change the world of mining.. yet..

5000 usd of 1070s, mined 310 LBC yesterday.. 0.04 BTC...24usd... 210 days ROI only for the cards... Cry Cry Cry

you mean 0.06 btc = 36 usd = 140 days roi...

my bad... they were in fact 210 LBC mined yesterday... excuse the typo.

you should take resale value into account.

Right! Totally agreed. I´m not complaining, but I expected a "game changer" and it´s only an excellent card.
For small miner (yes even with 10 GTX1070 you are a  (medium) small miner - I have two cards), we can't make significants profits with the process of  mining the most profitable coin and selling asap.

I have made significant profits with :
- mining coins which are not publicly visible on whattomine or others comparometers : especially those which have no pools yet or not been listed on market place yet.
- mining coins which have good chance to see a significant increase in price and waiting the rise to sell

For instance, I have mined siacoins during  may, june with two fury-x when there was no pools, and sell during the rise from 10 mbtc to 100 mbtc and up: and gain around 2 BTC...

850 watt psu isn't enough for 3 1070. I use evga 700b bronze and 750gq gold for 5 1070. I never live any hardware issue and also I must say that room tempreture is really terrible due to summer.

i'm running six 1070 with a 1000w, so 850 is overkill for 3
lol at Amph !! great!! and i thought i was crazy making a 5x evga 1070 on a 1000w evga g2 psu.

100% agree with you
I have rigs with 4x1070 Gigabyte G1 on 850w PSU (superflower good old one). But they are ok with their 6 pin conectors.

But the MSi 1070 has 8+6 pin, so i left the rig with 3 cards... (the psu is an overkill in power, but ran out of connectors).

btw, i feel nvidia miners lost its momentum... LBC is not what it used to be.. other algos are not optimized for pascal yet... my roi went from 7 months to more than a year... Embarrassed

actually my whole system including the six gpu is consuming only 850-870w, plus 80w of inefficiency of the psu which is at 91%

this is 130-135w per gpu basically

I remeber you said that is 180MH/s some where. So it is about 135/30 or 4.2J/MH. That is very efficient.

my rig 4* 1070 gainward gave me 1170MH/s with 600w. measured with powermeter

that is about 5.2J/MH. So it is quite efficient. I think it is better than most of the AMD RX 480 out there.

that with ethereum, with etheruem consumption is even lower, around 700w for 180MH, with lbry 800w with 1660MH

How many LTC per day can one mine from a dual GTX 1080 rig?  Thx.

I managed to OC my EVGA 1070 with samsung memory to 9216 Mhz. It seems stable, but is it safe? With undervolted GPU to 62% of TDP - about 93watt per card at the wall.

if no artifact then yes, if you see artifact then no, revert back

Hey. Its been long time since i have actually mined bitcoins with my own hardware. It just became not profitable.
So i wanted to ask u guys, when i was comparing the hash power for price of the cards back then.. AMD cards always showed real nice results as compared to nVidia ones. Is it the same now or then have new processors which put nVidia card better at mining?

please shed some light on this

HELLO guys.. can anyone tell me something about it. ? or just link me to the information.
Since maxwell architecture, some key integer operation for mining is done in one cycle of operation and the gap between nvidia and amd has somewhat disappeared.
Now, depending of the card, kernel algo amd or nvidia is better.

For memory latency sensitive kernel (ethereum mining, xmr mining) amd was better till the arrival of pascal, where GTX 1070 is now as good as best amd cards with a lower consumption (the GTX 1080 is not competitive due to latency for GDDR5X).

Nevertheless, with dual mining (ETH + SIA), amd nano or fury has better performance than GTX 1070 (GCN architecture is more adapted for dual mining). See claymore miner. new amd card RX 470-480 is competitive too.

For others kernel (without dual mining)  (decreed, sia, lbry)  pascal architecture is now generally ahead in perf and far better in perf/power than amd.

Now thats what i needed. thankyou for sharing the information there friend. Finally the nvidia card owner can work with something. But now so people starting up with mining would go for nVidia. Not everyone would think for dual mining.

Those G1's can pull 188W each if you don't use a lower power limit. The rest of the system is generally about 70W so you could be at 822W. That's really pushing it especially long term.

Personally, I'm never going over 80-85% PSU utilizastion for longer periods of time even on top quality PSUs.

Yes those G1's can pull 199W if you slide the powerlimit to +111%. I am using server power supplies from decomissioned servers with some customization (580W). Each graphic card has its own PS, but i thing i can connect two these G1's to one PS.  Wink

I have 4 gtx 1070 gigabyte windforce 2x for 450 watt in lbry excluding the system .

Use Cooler Master GX 750w .

Whats your secret? clocks, voltage, miner version? My rig with 3 gigabyte g1s and one MSI is almost 800w

I have PL at 70% , +150mhz core , with free miner , 245 mhs for board .
