If the memory bandwidth is similar or a bit faster, it might do 30 MH/s at 120W, that is better than 390.

I'm curious how the 1070 will compare to the nanos.

DDR ram is not good in random access..But the mem clock is higher. I expect etherum to run around 25-30MHASH.

i'm expecting more toward 30, but for the 1070, not for the 1080

DDR ram is not good in random access..But the mem clock is higher. I expect etherum to run around 25-30MHASH.

So that is slowly than the R9 390. R9 390 can run 27 MH/s if it is undervolt and underclock with similar power consumption.

current amd will not have the same power consumption as the new nvidia, there is no way to do so, the new 1070 will consume half of one 970, 1080 as a target of 180w, so one 1070, should be 120 in target or less

so no matter how much you undervolt, you will not be able tor each that value

The memory bandwidth does not increase, it is still 256bit for 1070. So even if the Core clock increase, it might not be faster.

on 970 it was 192+64, which is not the same thing as having a fully 256, so yes there is an increase

Completely and utterly irrelevant to bitcoin mining, so no. Moving thread to where it might be relevant.

Difficulty increase 10 fold?  With 1/3 the price at twice the speed...

WoW!

hype is really big with those cards I would recommend waiting a bit when they are out and get tested will see a post for sure on cryptominingblog

More like 40% more speed at half the power of current NVidia cards used in mining, from the early benchmarks I've been seeing, *IF* their mining potential matches their increased clockrate.

Have to see if the changes to the archetecture make them more efficient on some coins that current higher-end NVidia cards do NOT mine efficiently on like Ethereum.
