Most coins have lost 50 to 80% of their value, many tokens that were financed with expensive ether may now have their funding reduced due to their holdings. Do you think many of the ICOs have sold their ether and bitcoin during the last months? What other factors are making the market go steadily down?

I think yes because they want to develope their product. Without selling etherium how they can develope their product. And i think its also leading the market down so we are in trouble because the market trouble down again.

It's just a normal correction after such a great pump. Look at the BTCUSD chart. BTC was about 1000$ a year ago and now it is 6500$! I know there are a lot of people who bought BTC above 16000$, it's painful but it's too late to sell. We are near the bottom and the best thing you can do - just hold and believe. Wink
Bitcoin cost $20,000, and now it has dropped to $7,000. In my opinion, this is not a correction, but a price drop, because the correction can go up to 30%, and now we see a fall of 60%. There is no doubt that without the intervention of people, negative attitudes towards bitcoin have not been avoided. People who have large amounts of money can influence the price of bitcoin and crypto currencies, which they are doing now.
I agree with you. It is not correction. I consider that the last months happen manipulations in the market. Such big falling is favorable to someone. But I hope that the situation will improve in the nearest future.

right now its hard to make a decision, to invest or not. because coins are still dropping down. but if ever you want to invest now and the coins will pump's up its a big profit for everyone who invested.

I think for now it is better to do is hold and maybe try to buy some other coins that still in a lowest value until now. Don't stick in one stone, just do diversity for you to escape or maybe lessen the possible losses you may have. It is really so hard for us to invest because the market is up to now is really down but what will we do? Just sit in the corner and sadly wait for our upcoming losses? That is really terrible to do. We better to do better strategy to avoid us for losses.

I believe some of the ICO's team has sold as they need to control the risk of their collected money
Factors
-Market Correction after super bullish run (Happens to all type of market)
-Weak Hands during Market Correction
-Whales - Although i am not sure if this factors are consider valid, but truth is whales play an important role in the market trend
The only team that has been sold all of ethereum is only EOS team. The majority of icos team are still keeping their ethereum in the wallet address. You can try to monitor it through use santiment database.
Super bullish has already ended and this can be considered as super big bearish trend.

Correction cannot last for so long. That was the period, which I call Big Depression. Hope it is coming to the end, and the traders, investors, and miners will become a bit happier. It must happen.

Some guy quoted about some cartel working to being down the Bitcoin rate after the CBOE futures were announced or maybe it has got something to do with the tax thing  where they sell at loss and they buy for the next year.

Hahaha, yeah I think so. many of the ICOs usually have an advisors.
I think the advisors advice to selling the ether first to avoid a lot of reducing funds. It's better than holding, because it same as they holding a lot funds of a lot people.

Many big companies now want to buy cryptos. They can manipulate media, spreading FUD to all around the world for reducing crypto values. Then, if they think it's enough, they will invest a lot of their caps to cryptos. It's logic and fully politics

We are always talking about the panic sell-off, the cartel, the whales, FUD and so forth are the contributing factors of the downfall but we are neglecting the people and company who
use and accepting the mode of payment done by crypto transactions , if their numbers are not increasing, therefore supply and demand had been affected probably because there is abundance of supply caused by a panic selloff and lesser had been using it for transaction, a mass adoption is needed to reverse the situation.

I think so, many projects sold the funds collected, but I think that the main reason is that people sold their assets cheaper than they got them, it's all the game exchanges and big players

This link will help you a lot.
https://sanbase-low.santiment.net/
Santiment base already provided a chart that will be showing how the total ethereum that still hold by the majority of ico project and how much ether already spent by them all in some periods.
Due to the tax regulation to the cryptocurrency, but i only known about the project that already sold almost all of ethereum form the crowdsale is only EOS,

There was information about the fact that a few weeks ago the EOS project sold about 50,000 ETH at the Bitfinex exchange and after that the price of the coin fell very sharply. Perhaps now, many projects sell their ether, pushing the price even lower.

Not only etherium, all price fell sharply happen to all the asset nor except bitcoin too.
So if they only sell ether then why this is affecting to all the cryptocurrency in general? In my opinion, because of the current market down, many people decide to stop investing for some time.

So many big bad news coming last 3 months, but i think it's the right time to buy some ICO's token since the price is based on ETH or BTC that mean the price is cheaper

ICO will never make that mistake of selling the ETH which is their real funding source. Selling the coins at such prices will be their huge loss and they wont be able to payback their customers too. Also they are obviously one step forward in planning their roadmaps and they might be storing them in different assets and see might be cashing out in the fiat too. Thats safe for them and for the investors like us. Moreover they trust the system too and might just wait for over year to see how the prices bounce back. But in the broad sense I dont thin they need to care much about the prices as the projects do take years to complete and thus meanwhile they can take the opportunity of spiked prices too.

People begin to lose interest in crypto, maybe it is just some seasonal thing, and in the next autumn for example this interest will grove again, or maybe it will happen later, but I hope it will happen, and also Mt.Gox's 200 thousands bitcoins have played their significant role Sad

Well you got to really acknowledge this, the man has a point. Maybe the best move right now is move into ETH, or any crypto asset that isn't tied to BTCBTCBTC.

Indeed,  those who invested on ICOS before this dump (when ether was over $1000 each, on january) have now all their holdings down by more than 70% aproximately.

Just like it happened to me.

Take a look over all the icos who ended a few months before, they all are in the same pattern at this moment.
