Like the title says, i almost lost my regular job as a software developer today when my boss reviewed my work. The job has been able to economically provide a comfortable life for me and losing it would really be a big hit to my income. I almost lost it because i spent so much time learning about everything crypto (mining, trading, bounties, etc.).
Has anyone else experienced this? I just feel pretty lucky I was given another chance and want to remind other people that having a regular job is much better than relying on the volatility of cryptocurrencies. Make sure you prioritize your work!
If you lost your rock solid regular job, it is a matter of your choice. I don't know if you regret giving up your job because of crypto, anyway,
actually, before I got here in this industry I gave up my job under by the government for 7 years of work, but I never regret for what I made a
decision of doing crypto currency. Because I believed and saw the potentiality of crypto and I was right about it, and now for two years of being
here in this business I bought a brand new house and new car and established also a traditional business because of crypto as my main source of
income.
That was two years ago, when crypto was just at the beginning, it still had the space and potential to grow, choosing to focus on crypto and giving up the formal job at that time is probably a reasonable choice but now it is another story. You can not bring the thoughts of past years to apply to the future, it only brings an opposite result, crypto has crossed a long stretch of road, it may have become exhausted, make money from it is too difficult and unstable, we should not trade the years that we contribute to the main work in exchange for this danger
