If you fear of missing out, you bought at all time high or sell at all time low. That's the thing everyone can do. All you need to do is don't panic sell/buy.

Given the date of writing your post, I understand that you tried to trade during the fall of the market. In this situation, there is nothing surprising in what you bought alltime high. ohhhhh which altcoin did you bought during the All Time High? You must really feel the dip specially now when the market is still in a bearish pattern as a whole. It would be really difficult to get back your initial investment. Current forecast for major altcoins now show they wont break their current All Time High record. it would be best to wait for the next peak of the currency you bought and set your stop loss. try to get out and just break even.
of course the best advice is to keep it, because that's the only way we do not lose our assets when the price goes down. but if we are right in choosing a coin that will potentially be back up the price again, for example ethereum or litecoin

If you already bought on all time level too bad you have nothing to do. I would suggest you to stay calm and patient for whole new bull markets to start. If you don't you will end up losing money so..
Don't be too much disappointed on what you had bought if it crashed down. Just keep calm, sit back, relax, hold and wait for the better time when its price increases. By that time, I'm sure that you would be happy and no regrets on investing on all time high.
I bought at the ath close to midnight. If I had waited a few hours I would have seen the almost 50% drop in my portfolio. Every alt that i bought, i bought at an ath. january was a bad month. I have been holding ever since. Gonna check back in, in September. I also bought golem it's the only investment I am iffy about
We all make mistakes once in a while, your mistake was not so much investing at the all time high but investing everything in different coins at the all time high, this is one of the reasons traders do not put all their money in a single trade and prefer to only invest 5% of their money in each trade that way if something goes wrong they only lose a small portion of their capital.
You have bought cryptocurrency all the time, which is also very good when you buy at various times you will have different prices will give you different choices when you buy all the time.
one year later , you may find that the current price is so low . it depends on how long you invest in it . in the long run , i think it will have a lot of room for growth .
That is the thing. We still have a huge room vacant and the demand can still go high. It also depends on the governments of different countries like Germany and Philippines who recognized Bitcoin as a result of which the demand for the crypto will go high in future which will also contribute to the rising prices. Having said that, there is no need to worry about the portfolio you are holding because you would get your share of money when we will have e green market.
I bought at an all time high once. It's a noob mistake, you see a coin pumping, you think it's going to the moon and staying there. Rookie.
Don’t worry hold your coins and keep buying every time it dips lower to average out your ATH investment . If you have a good coin and patience it will eventually get there again . Meantime enjoy the ride

Not for bitcoin, but for some sketchy altcoins, i too actually bought on all time highs. The thing about it is that i rest well knowing that i invested only what i was willing to lose. Yes, i stood to gain very little but stood to lose a lot, but that was the risk i was willing to take.
To make sure you don't hate yourself, think about your actions and always make sure you are ready to stand by your choices in life.

Some prices of altcoins still go back from its ICO price immediately when it decreases more. Good job for OP that instead of focusing all your thoughts and energy on you problem, you turn it into positive and buy on the dip.
I guess many of us have this experience of buying at ATH before. I guess you can only hold now and wait for the price to rise again. Don’t be too hard on yourself.
OP said he has been buying in this dip so good for him because he was able to average down then and I commend him for holding on because many has since sold all their bags and leave the crypto market for good. Well it is their decision because they didn't think they would have a great future in this market. Instead of just sulking in the corner and not doing anything about the situation, OP did a smart thing which is to average down. Others sold their bags at a loss too and then continue to trade so that they can get back their losses.

At least you admit it. So many people stay quiet when such a bad thing happens. Hopefully you sold everything back then, considering what happened after.
substratum and spectracoin which was recommended by others... it was all time high of like 5 dollars and 3.50 or so. Both coins are 25 cents and under now. Does anyone here think these coins could recover? Many coins have dropped 90 percent from the all time high already.
I sometimes made this mistake because of FOMO. But I hold them until prices come back to that point. Don't despair, every coin has potential to be pumped and give you back your investment.
