This is the very foolishness that you bought in all time high but in crypto market you should have patience to get your patience if you have invested in right coin. But you invest in wrong coin then it is very hard to get your past price. In cryptocurrency nothing is all time high but if you choose an right coin then always you will get new high in the boom period of the market.

Everyone has their own strategies in investing. Buying coins in their all time high is I think the dumbest thing to do. If you wanted to earn from your investments, make sure to buy them from the lowest price that they ever be because once they pump, you can have atleast double amount of what you've invested in.
Preferably before buying a coin it would be nice to do some research first and learn the weaknesses and coins.
And before making a coin purchase do it when the good conditions are not too coercive to buy coins at high prices.

If it is an altcoin, sell it for btc and hold it. If the altcoin is a promising coin then don't sell it and just hold it. Just stop thinking that you loss your money because you still have many options to recover it in the future and stay positive.

There was a spike and big drop right after, it happened many times before so I think it is absolutely possible for it to happen once more.
Don't panic and take it as a lesson for the future. I'm sure there are plenty of people like you, that's why we see this huge "sale"
I bought last year a coin who price now is very cheap , but my hope is in here until because believe it will increase the price.

None of us is immune from buying a coin at an expensive price. Intuition comes with time and you need to be prepared to lose a few dollars. You should not get very upset. Who else bought on ATH?
If your coin is good and has good developing potential then you can hold the coin and wait until the price is high so you can sell it.

If you can, be patient and HODL it out; at worse you'll break even and at best be able to laugh all the way to the 'bank' at this. If you sell now, you will definitely get a haircut and a shave to boot.

Yes, this is indeed your fatal mistake. You should not buy all the coins you hold at a high price. Because this is certainly very risky. If the coin you hold can rise higher again it does not matter. The problem is if you buy at a high price then the coin drops drastically and you instead sell it at a low price. Surely you are losing a lot of money from your investment returns. Don't worry mate, many others have done the same. Keep your bitcoin and wait for a few more months. Many speculations are showing that wall street is now eyeing on this and we can slowly see something by the next 2 years. Patience is the key here my friend.

In such situation, there are some options that you can do. in my opinion we shouldnot just lie everything to wait and hope there will be another ATH more than buying level. You can try to sell it as soon as possible in loss (make sure to sell it at correct time to minimize loss) then buy back in the lowest price, you can try to observe how deep the price will go down from discussion of the coin/token, stay up to date with Official ANN Thread or etc..
You are being greedy because you want some gains in an instant? That's why you hating yourself. If you think for long term price of Bitcoin could reach possibly $1M and now still hating yourself. You have to learn how to overcome you greed on yourself and how to be patient also those 2 are the keys so you will become successful here in cryptoworld
you should wait for the price back at the beginning of your purchase. because there are two options, 1 you have to dare Cut loss, 2 or you keep hold your coin. I personally also buyer in high price. but i still enjoy this and keep holding my coin. because I am sure the price will return to the moon. stay relaxed and calm. do not use emotions. because you will have many losses.

You're right about the OP to hold onto the coin till there bull run in the market or new all time high price but the best way for the OP to I food profit is to also buy in this current dip.
Man you are in a way lucky!But why haven't you discussed the market situation with the community. Here on the forum you always can find someone to help. Right now you don't have any choise but to hold and believe that market will go high again

I agree on this one be glad that you've discovered crypto world because unlike other people out there they didn't know what is cryptocurrency all about and what is the importance of it in the near future right now bearish market will be over soon and bullrun market will come, you have to be patient and wait for the coins you bought on ATH to pump because it will set new ATH and that's for you to sell on the peak then buy on the dip again on the coins you really believe in.
