you never at a loss until you sell it. The market always fluctuates. The ATH right now might be negligent a year from now so be patient. i am at the same boat with some of my coins.

ah thats sucks. You are a forced hodler now. What you should be doing is averaging down, this means buying more the lower we go in order to decrease your price floor.
Dude, that's not a point to blame yourself. Believe me, market is very unpredictable and a lot of people made same mistakes (if this is even a mistake) - market still has enormous potential to grow - even if you bought at ATH - it'll probably grow even more someday...you have just to hodl...

Its really a sad moment for those who buy coins at ATH but as long as you are holding your coins and not going to sell it is not yet considered as a loss. It also happened to me before, it never came to my mind to sell it to cut my loss. So the best thing to do is just HODL and wait your coin value to recover
Which coin did you buy at ATH? You can stoploss or hold to new ATH (if it is a good coin)

To be honest, I didn't check these coins, so I don't know if that are good projects, but for sure you have to HODL to new ATH! You will need a lot of patience, because your funds can be frozen even few months, but it is the best solution in such situation.
All you can really do like the rest of us is to hold, no amount of whining can you seek help from us who also bought at the ATH. Good thing in my case I was able to trade my losses with other coins. Better evaluate as how can you get back your lost investment by investing through other coins.
I guess it happend to most of us at some point. It's impossible for someone to make every decision right. We can only hope our calls will end up well in that kind of situations. What you should do right now is stop worrying about it. It happend and you can't change it so you learn a lesson from that and hold your coin. Don't sell it cheap because alt coins will start going up soon. I am sure your coin will hit new all time highes before too long.
Bought on -x2 from ATH,still everything dropped another 2 times.Cant do anything,traiding for more coins is dangerous as well on this market.Just hold.Eventually market will grow again

I did the same thing before when I first started trading, did not even read or researched about trading that much and accidentally bought almost all of money on a certain coin when it was at its peak. Of course I hated myself at that time, and I was using Poloniex at that time too and so what I did was I researched on google on how to keep the coin and decided to leave it and go for long term instead of dwelling on a mistake I can not reverse back. So that's what you'll do OP, hold it for a couple of months or years until you get that amount back.

you did a wrong decision when you bought on all time high.so dont make wrong decision again now by selling it in loss,what you need to do is wait patiently and Hol.you should have told us which coin is that so we can make analysis and research for you if whats the coins future..many of us did some wrong moves,but the important thing is what will be your plan B when things go wrong Who else bought on ATH?

That wasn't a good start . When Im just a newbie I also bought on ATH that was TRX at the price of 0.1 usd per tron . I just thought that was so cheap already then after a week goes down to 0.035 usd per tron so that was my terrible experienced with tron good thing I also invest on other crypto and recover some loss on TRX .

Pretty sure every trader has one time or another bought an ATH if they say otherwise they are most clearly lying. What is most paramount is that you learn from this mistake and try not making it again. As the adage goes fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

Altcoins always risky investment if you can not bear lost then you must not invest into altcoins just buy Bitcoin !

Well the right thing to do is wait and hold till the price recover.If you can't wait,just accept the loss and move on,don't forget the experience of losing so that you can do better next time.Research the coin you want to invest thoroughly,it will help you to predict where is the trend heading.
