Stop loss could be dangerous when there is a big upward action then go down again, like happed a few times this year.

Why do not you put stop loss? If you are a holder then you should not care about the price. Keep them until it goes to the moon. Or even to the target you give when you decide to buy it

The smartest way to buy coins or tokens is when the price is not high or dropped a little bit as it can pump in the future which can give you a profit. But, do not panic just hold still your coins and wait for it to recover from it's price

Shadow Trader, what coin you bought at all time high? And at what price? It really sucks, from my experience you might wait for a year or so for the coin to climb back from its dip to all time high. If it's not too late then it's better to fix your losses (10% or 20%) and move along. You will have better opportunities instead of sitting and waiting for the price to come back.

Sometimes, lucky doesn't favor for us and that's the reality. But here in crypto world, even though we are losing now due to the market is dropping but our chance to get huge amount of profit has not yet ended. This is if we hold it in longer term because we know crypto will always grow as the years are passing by.

All that you have to do right now is to hold.
Don't bother with checking the price every few minutes, even days. Just relax and wait for better times.
There was a spike and big drop right after, it happened many times before so I think it is absolutely possible for it to happen once more.
Don't panic and take it as a lesson for the future. I'm sure there are plenty of people like you, that's why we see this huge "sale" Wink

I agree. At least, by doing that move, you mitigate any losses or avoid them altogether. I mean, even if a coin you just bought dumped in value, it does not follow that it would not rise back up again. Therefore, like the above-stated reply said, the best thing to do is to be patient and just hold on your coins until such time it recovers. Anyway it's an altcoin, and based on previous happenings, if it's a new one, it has more chances of actually prospering and gaining quicker.

Don't do panic sell. It will pass. There will be new ATHs coming up this year, so just hold and don't panic. The time will come when we will look back on the December/early Jan highs and think - I can't believe that coins used to be that cheap!

But anyway it's not over yet friend, and indeed it's a risk for a holder. Well., it's not the time to be worried, from now and forwards keep doing things with optimistic thoughts while waiting for prices to move back up and maybe just need an additional time period to hold. You are not alone. You are not the only buyer of ATH. I bought a certain coin thinking it'll keep going up just to wake up the next day to see It went down to half the price I bought it. Now due to bitcoin price crash, I lost 80% of my investment. No choice but to wait for another pump and I'll sell them all and get rid of it. That kind of coin is not worth keeping.

I have never bought ATH even I do not know ATH. Are the coins you buy really have good prospects? Because I highly doubt this. But you do not have to regret your actions, let this be a lesson for you in the future to be better. That is a mistake you make yourself and only a waste of time if you regret everything that has happened. You must calmly wait for the coins you hold up again.
