It is better to use etheryo purchase ICO that have vision and dedicated to make things happen, this is my definition of quality ICO. This type of ICO are not common place but I can assure you that they exist, you just have to look for them and be patient in finding them!

Just an ICO with all the 5eth? That's a wrong move ,just split it up ,don't invest in a ICO and feel relaxed ,you have to create a portfolio and your 5 ETH is more than enough ,do some research and invest only in good projects then you can sit back and relax.
when you see ETH as a good investment, it's better for you to have ETH, but when you see an ICO that has enormous potential than holding ETH, it's your choice in investing, because everything that will happen will be your own. .

It is okay to using your ETH to investing on some ICO's, but you must do your due diligence before start to joining any ICO.
Investing in ICO is risky, you have a possibility to getting scammed by the fake company.
An extra effort will be required to find a good ICO and gain profit for long time.

If you really know about the ico you're planning to invest then go for it but if not maybe you should stick in ethereum and wait for it's price to rise again because ethereum has a good potential until now.
5 Ethereum is a good amount to make an investment, but I would suggest you look around the crypto market at this moment. Try to research every newly listed coin and their project. Most of the new coins price is just sinking like the scrap iron! A lot of successful ICO projects are locked their tokens until the crypto market recover! So, I think you may invest in cryptocurrencies, not in ICO! If you buy good coins with that 5 Ethereum, in future your investment can double easily. But Still, if you want to invest in ICO then you may invest in Arround or Datablockchain ICO.

Because as of now some ICO's coming are scam but not all ICO on what i mean. Must choose to those trusted or search everything from them.
There are no audited ICO, at any time the company may become bankrupt and not bring any income. It’s like venture bonds - high risks and high returns in case of good analysis and luck.

I think that now it is better to buy tokens after they list on the exchange. Now the bearish market and even good projects lose in value after the start of trading. Now ICO is a big risk. Besides, you cannot control your tokens for a long time.

I am really sure that now is not the most favorable time for investing in altcoins and in general in general. it seems to me that the bears will be until 2020 and I’m not going to invest in the market before this time
