I think that some percentage is worth keeping. The rest to put to work, and invest in altcoins .

I personally joined the currency for six months.
I made a little money at the beginning but recently I lost all the money I earned in the encryption market to the market. For you can easily earn 20 times the income. I admire you and learn from you.
If I were you I would continue to invest some of the funds in the cryptocurrency. For you, you will definitely make more money.

If I were you , I would leave 6 bitcoins for hold . 6 bitcoins would be shared and invested in different altcoins

Based on the success and free time that I have, I have decided to research the top 200 altcoins and release at least one analysis of them a day. Will release the results in this group (first 500 to join will get access to the premium group) Link below...

I have 12 Bitcoins. I am not a whale. I started about 6 months ago with 0.01 Bitcoins and $1000. I turned it into 12 Bitcoins so far and am pretty proud to say the least.

My question is, what do I do now?

As far as I can see, I have 4 options;

1) Hold the Bitcoin

2) Invest in altcoins and leave a little in Bitcoin

3) Fund a project and start my own cryptocurrency that solves a problem that current currencies face (scalability, Tx fees etc.). With the funds, I would be able to assemble a team, start a marketing campaign, get listed on exchanges etc. I am also a programmer which helps.

4) Convert it to fiat (probably the dumbest idea)

Edit: I should also add, I dropped out of school and have all the time in the world so can fully commit to any idea. I will earn my living of cryptocurrencies.

A few people have asked how I made my money so, if you are interested, here is a short summary:

Initially, I put it all into Bitcoin during the massive FUD of the fork around June when Bitcoin dipped to $1,900. Then I put half my money into NEO before all of the hype at around $12 and cashed out at $40. Then I invested in a couple ICO's and turned a pretty good profit of off the hype. After that, I got back in on NEO as soon as China announced the regulations regarding ICO's and rode the wave back from around $20 to $40 (I can't quite remember). Then, I rode the hype of Ethereum Dark, eBitcoin and a few other airdrop scams. Finally, I got in on Wincoin before it got to coinmarketcap and turned a 20x profit.

If I were you, I would sell 1BTC to invest in Atlcoin. 11BTC hold until BTC price is 2xxxx $. Think of some promising Altcoin like Neo, TRX, ADA, ... or Eth if you want to .. Huh

haha if you can make that amazing progress in such a short time, I don't know what you need our help for, you probably have the answer, you can keep doing what you've been doing, look at the market, now there is not the hype that there was last year, but you can still invest in some promising ICOs or altcoins that you think will generate dividends, or else hodl as most of us  are doing.

Do you have any ALT holdings at all?  Generally I have two rules ... be diversified and never sell Bitcoin ... I buy and sell Alts with new money but have the intention of holding every BTC I own until I retire.  It is going to be a bumpy road, we might get 50%+ crashes along the way, but I think long term BTC will remain king.

in my opinion, it is best to divide into several parts . one part to leave in bitcoin, the other to invest in altcoins

My advice for you would be for you to hold your bitcoin like your very life depend on it.  Your twelve bitcoin could run in to hundreds of dollars in a very nearest future. So, hold and wait for pay day!

The Protocol for the Audience Economy
Hold them for 5 years! When 1 bitcoin costs $ 1 million, you will be very happy that you did not sell them in 2018

Bitcoin is so beautiful ( very good ), but you should make investment in different altcoins. That altcoins price will grow up faster. Now is a good time to buy altcoins because they are not expensive for US .

Better to invest some to ICO or other altcoin. Invest into altcoin which is good for day trading. And leave some for hodl, because currently there are signs of bitcoin rising prices. If if the bitcoin price is not rising too high, then you need hodl much longer.

Bitcoin price is currently down and it would be in your best interest to hold your bitcoin for the long term as the price would surely rebound and its value would as well grow massively

At first, I put everything into Bitcoin amid the monstrous FUD of the fork around June when Bitcoin plunged to $1,900. At that point I put a large portion of my cash into NEO before the majority of the publicity at around $12 and changed out at $40. At that point I put resources into a couple ICO's and turned an entirely decent benefit of off the promotion. From that point forward, I got back in on NEO when China reported the controls with respect to ICO's and rode the wave once more from around $20 to $40 (I can't exactly recall). At that point, I rode the promotion of Ethereum Dark, eBitcoin and a couple of other airdrop tricks (subsequent to paying off a couple of the devs, I got monstrous rebates in contrast with advertise costs and drove the volume up on their particular markets to get them recorded on coinmarketcap which launch their cost). At last, I got in on Wincoin before it got to coinmarketcap and turned a 20x benefit.

BTC have to be held if you can do it. But you also can sell few of them to have money or trade on the part on this. And I agree with others, that if I were you, I would have sold everythig in the next BTC's top.

If I now had 12 bitcoins, then I would have bought NEO and Ethereum on 6 BTC, and the rest would have been kept until better times..

You can significantly increase your capital if you are an experienced trader by selling BTC for USD at high and buy at low vice versa. But if you are not a trader my advece is just buy some top10 coins + some small cap coins which can make good profit in a short period of time.

I am simply going to state on the off chance that I am in your part and I have 12 bitcoins then I am simply going to hold trim until further notice in light of the fact that the cost of the bitcoins are falling and as yet experiencing serious difficulties going up so offering them isn't going to be a shrewd decision. So I am still going to place them into my wallet and afterward waut for thr cost to ascend again and when that happen I will manufactured my owm business that is cryptographic money related for my bitcoins to develop significantly more.
