My advice is choose the top 5 coins( except Bitcoin and Ethereum) and distribute 50% of your money evenly. With the remaining buy Bitcoins and Ethereum.
I believe that you can invest in ICO that I have a good project signature, a good team, a great perspective!
I strongly suggest to pick up your choice to those coins that listed on top 10, because they are already got name, and more investors too so they reached that on the top, or make a two options, 70% of you capital goes to your choice on top 10 coins and the rest is to alts that are in lowest top. but be sure to make your reseaech before investing for more better result.
I invest my money in almost equal shares-bitcoin, Ethereum and ICO.
Whoever does not say, but $ 500 is not a little money, and for some countries it is more than the average monthly salary of an average worker. I would have invested this amount in Ethereum and Bitcoin at the drawdown rate. Of course with this amount of investment you do not need to wait for a huge income.

With amount i would suggest you to dip into some top 10 coins on crashes, and you should be able to increase your capital size for diversification, imagine 200 on a 50% recovery (with is super high), only grant your $100 profit and it's hard to foresee another coming already, mayb now is the best time to invest as bitcoin is still sturggling on 7.5k which could be another signal for bearish if it passes successfully
In my opinion, I would rather invest in 3-5 projects and wait for the profit than to be sprayed at all. If you are not a trader. Because it's hard for you to concentrate on a lot of coins. And you just can skip the pamp and lose. It is better to track 3-5 projects. It's my opinion.
if me 500$ is not big money to much, I'd rather hodl one coin only and that would be ETH. right now as you can see ETH has a big drop to its price last few months ago. investing right now is a good decision for me. hodl it for a few month until the market get fully recovered. my prediction end of this year or early next year it will rise again. but it's really depends on you, if you like to invest with this cheaper price coin that your decision but for me i will go to the stable coins.
The main thing is not to fuss and choose one investment strategy. After a while, check how it works. If you are not satisfied with the profit then make changes.
500 $ is not such a large sum to divide it into the purchase of several cryptocurrencies. You can choose any one coin that you consider promising and invest the entire amount in it. I think it will not be a big risk.
What's the best way to diversify starting with $500. I am overwhelmed right now with all the coins i am interested in. I'm just not sure if i should be only focused on the top 10 or can i pick xxx coin that's ranked between #40-#150. I can say i like about 15-20 coins/tokens i just feel that's way to many for $500. I would like to put half in blue chip coin and invest in some alts with the remaining half. I was thinking put $50 into 4 atls???

There are subcoins that can be invested today with 500 dollars. There are opportunities in the currency markets of the crypto. I expect 15 percent increase in Trig, Appc and Xvg prices for today .
It depends on what do you want? Do you want something sae? Then put it in a coin from the top ten? If you want higher chance for big profit and will take more risk, you can invest it in any new coin or token from a project. But when you do this, you have to think about it and do some researches before.

Just invest on ethereum coins because the price is really good for long term investment and it was very profitable if you are planning to hold it for a very long time depending on the season in the market.
I suggest you to buy ETH, NEO, XVG, BNT, ADA
I recommend to buy: EOS, NEO, ETH and Cardano 
if you like to take risks, I'll try to invest them in neo. now the price is very low on this coin, but the prospects are still high possible prices sharply at 1 point will go up. you don't have to be risky to invest in this currency.
It's a quite amazing start, although 500dolls looks like a small capital but you can quadriple it in months. I will advice you to ask for proper information from professionals so that you won't lose all. Secondly, investing BTC is a wrong ideas with such small capital, you need to start with altcoins with high potential of increasing value so that the loss won't be great.
Invest $100 in Bitcoin, $100 in Ethereum, $50 in Neo and spread the balance $250 among Ripple, EOS and ADA.
