I propose you hold this all coin and wait because sell have no sense.

Next time carefully analyze coin you want buy and calculate how long you must wait to get profit

You are not the only one who has lost coins in the market. I am almost 50-60% down. Value keeps on fluctuation every day. My advice to you is not to panic sell anything this cheap. Hold onto these, it might take time but will surely do a 2x in terms of btc value that you invested.

If you had invested in different ALT's you could have been 80% richer!

If Bitcoin had tumbled in price for some reason then you would be happy that you were in these ALT's.

This is the world of cryptocurrency. Its RISKY!!!!

Hey there

In june & July I bought Digibyte & Stratis & Siacoin with all my bitcoins, till now I lost almost 80%

What can I do, HOLD or Sell or What!
You actually know the answer, hold on your bitcoin. There are more tokens worth only after ICO because of pumping by traders. after a month or two months the token will be worthless. I sell all my token after ICO when the price high then I buy etherium and bitcoin. I do the trick repeatedly so My asset is growing now. recently most of my asset is in ethereum and bitcoin. Etherium price is quiet stable than the tokens. PPT price at the first week after ICO is 4 eth= 200 PPT. I sold a lot of PPT and turned into eth. Now PPT price is only 0.009-0.012 eth.

You are not loosing unless you sell it. Hold on bro I have 0 in Bitcoin.

And I doubt there will be Bitcoin Cash scenario one more time with the same profit % gain.

Some of my alts 80% down just delete your Blockfolio and not look prices daily. Deep dive in developments news on meeting news and other cryptonews. Take you away from today price.
Your coins will riseup soon.

Buy the dip if you can some promising projects.

Start to teach from market to control emotions.
Do not fall to fear, anger or smth..

You have a difficult situation. But at the moment I would not recommend you to sell anything. Now you'd better buy these altas to average the price.

If I were you I would be patient and hold at least until the middle of November. After the hardfork altcoins should be stabilized and then you will decide what to do next. Now is very unsuitable time for cutting losses.
If you sell your altcoin now that you will get only a loss, it's better to keep the coin until it matches the price when you buy it.
It takes a lot of patience.
Patience is key.Alts are cheap now and prices are in correlated with bitcoin + ethereum price. Smart traders already bought dips and waiitng for future gains after fork. Markets dont like losers.

My advice would be to cut your losses and move on. First of all, it was a mistake to invest in alts if you are not able to afford the probable losses. But now nothing can be done. You need to convert your wealth back to Bitcoin and move the coins to cold storage. I am saying this because after the hard fork, the altcoin prices can crash even further. So it is up to you to make the decision.

I can't agree with this. It depends on who are you, investor or trader? If you are investor just be endurant. But if you are trader this advice could be useful.

You only lose when you sell. Hodl until the prices come up to enable you to at least break even. I lost half of my BTCs in alts and am hodling until the prices pump so I can sell. Some alt coins take longer to recover than others, but they mostly all recover in time. It's just a matter of being patient and waiting.

You won't.. none of you.
If you were patient you wouldn't be in the position you are in now in the first place.

I seen this exact topic lots before such as a guy with NMC / name coin back in late 2013 / early 2014 after the shitcoin cloning hype died off.

History repeats.. always.
What happened ?

Eveyone dumped and left while they all lectured each other to HODL.  Cheesy
Notice how every account here is a noob ?

Why would a big rush of noobs come back here to by your old shitty moldy ICO bags ?
When you noobs got here did you look for old ICO coins to buy ?
Fuck no.. you wanted pre-sale ground floor token "startup" riches ROFL

Want the truth or be fed sweet lies ?

PS:
Time = Money.
I have said this non-stop for years.
Think of it this way..
If you dumped for a loss now you could use what you have left to trade up.
Sometimes it's better to take the loss.
The more you sit on an investment not realizing any profit the more it costs you.
Why do banks want your investment money held in bank vaults ?
Why do they pay you interest ?
Time is money !

Another vote here for selling siacoin. At some point you will have to cut your losses, I don't think it's ever going to rise.

I have the same set of alts plus some others. I have so much losses too. But I'm trying to keep calm and take it easy. It's pretty legit coins to die. There will be a day when they all be recovered. So my opinion is to hold!

Just don't panic, remember it is an investment and not a buy and sell item which means you need to wait for long to get  better profit. Expect that in any investment ventures.

STRAT and OMG cut my portf. in half.
I can understand STRAT but OMG? it was like someone cursed me or something
Then WAVES is -50% of my buy price.
The choice was clear. Just stay in BTC or XRP, then go in to ETH
Sometimes the choice is so obvious
