Hold till the price recovers and sell as soon as it does. You'be already lost most of it so it's not a big struggle. What's more this is sure to recover in December (my best guess) and you'll get out even more or less. But once the price reaches your investment level or near so- sell don't overhold it for too long it might get worse... Sorry to hear that - so much crap going round- seems incredible to me. At the same time most projects are by far overvalued at the time of an ICO and the price decreases dramatically after the crowdsale- so you have to be paitient and wait for another couple of months for it to recover and reach it's original value- but after that it might decrease again, so be cautious

You've got yourself in a very unfortunate position that's true but since you are down almost 80% you've got little more to lose. Since you're still holding you haven't really lost anything yet so I think it's better for you to HODL. There's really no point in selling. Maybe in a year something big will happen with Sia or DGB that will help those coins out of their spiral to the downside. Alts will rise after the Fork, rise better after December. Only put in what you are willing to lose.
Hold all the coins you believe in. Once the Bitcoin fork settles, the good alts will come back.
Digi and Sia has no future. i would sell if there is a pump. you can hodl stratis.
Same here, all of my altcoins are swimming in the red sea. But I just might have to hold my altcoins and leave it there until bitcoins price becomes stable once the fork is done. I'm still holding on to my chances of gaining back the losses.

If you dont sell you didnt make a loss. Just hold on to your alts, if you believe in the project you can buy more to lower your Dollar Cost Average. I believe the alts will rise very soon.

I agree. OP, in your case the least you can do is trust your coins and have the patience for holding these until it pumps and yeah selling your alts will just makes you lose more money. And next time when you're planning again to buy alts just do a research and seek advice to those who are well experience. Don't take the risk that you can't bare.
If i were on your point. I would not even sell my coins if i had a 40% or gigher loss. I would rather hold the coin for another inflation (exept for shitcoin that just do is pump and dump) learn from your mistakes mate.
Rule number one when investing is not to keep something that goes down.

Now that technically you achieved the lost don't sell your coins, but at least wait and try to earn again some btc.
Never invest to much, but just that you can afford to lose !
I will never sell it. Just keep trying to get into new airdrops and ico sales
Do heavy research on those coins if at that point you still believe in them then average down if you no longer believe in them then it could be a good option to sell.
those timing that you enter your trade are the high rise of those coins that you bought but for sure if you will just hold and wait for updates coming

If you are down that much, you should hold unless that money absolutely makes a big difference for you. Just consider it all lost for now. There's always a chance of something getting pumped and repaying all your losses in the future. If you liquidate that 20% you lose even that chance.
Altcoin is try to adjust bitcoin value ,it's logical things so if you're in profit, you should sell it since my expert trader said that on 15 November bitcoin value will start decrease and guess what .. altcoin will increase a bit

You do not lose any money until you sell. Alt coins will recover. all those BTC gains will go back into the alt market.

If you already lost 80% of your BTC value because the exchange I Think the best thing to do is just to hold your alts. Just consider your investment was lost or think that your wallet was hacked.
If you sell those alts you must be a good trader to get the 80% back from trading but if the prices of those alts recovers its like hitting the jackpot.
like many people advice and holding our altcoin is the best we can do. its not good to sell right now especially if we buy at high price and only makes sell in loss. but if you decide to sell because you don't want to loss more than 80%, you need to thinking about the risk for selling the coins and don't regret if somehow you sell at now. once the altcoin recover for the price, you can get your money back plus you can make profit and you only need to waiting.
