You cannot do anything about it because it is done already, what you can do in the future is to be more vigillant.Spent a lot of time in researching before buying or investing to any of these because researching will lessen the risk of losing your money,or putting your money in the wrong investments,i personally do a lot of research for the background checking of the people behind these coins so i could determine which would have potentials to grow.

It certainly was a fun ride up to 800 billion market cap. Stay in long enough and it'll happen again. Stay in long enough it will go down again. These are market cycles so time your entry and exit as best as you can.

Don't lose your spirit that would I suggest you, everyone in the crypto world or in any of paper money trading would experience that feeling in many occasions. Just keep doing what you do, if you'd be willing to invest more, then the time is right nowadays most of the alts are down. Just hold them until you get to break even at least, or if I were you I'd be holding them until I saw profits. Patience is key here.

So OP got sucked into a market that was at its all time high--this is what happens in every bull market at some point, so it should surprise no one.   Everybody who lost 50% or more just needs to suck it up and not make the same mistake twice.

Sounds like a lot of the shitposting population is complaining about their losses, and this makes me smile.  They'll never learn because they're too stupid, lazy, and greedy to ever learn from mistakes.

Look at it this way: We're still above $10,000.  You haven't seen a bloodbath lately.  Your losses could have been a hell of a lot worse.

Marinecoin (MTC) (https://marineco.in) could be the next big project. Even if the token does not claim to become top 5 in market cap in the near future, the way in which the devs are distributing tokens seems to add a ton of credibility to the project. They are, essentially, looking for 20,000 backers who will take time out to promote it and they will in turn receive nearly the entirety of all the tokens that have already been mined. First 20,000 users who have verified their identity and proof-of-promotion (something that they call POP) on bitcointalk will be airdropped 450,000 tokens each (out of a total of pre-mined 9.7 billion tokens). You can register here to get your 450k MTC: https://marineco.in/ico

Don't lose hope just keep on holding the coins, I don't know whether you bought all those coins in ATHs or not (probably you did) but I can only suggest you to hold and not sell at a loss. Never sell your coins at loss.

HODL unless you absolutely and necessarily cannot.
I fully agree with you - this is the best strategy to wait out periods when the market is adjusted. If there is free money, then one should consider the possibility of making additional purchases of coins in order to average portfolio and prepare it for the period of growth.

Do not worry. Now many investors are bleeding investment portfolios. You need to show resilience and patience. You have to believe that soon the price of coins will grow significantly.

Today alone most of coins in the market are bumped more than 10% on every top 100 coins in the marketplace. If you invested any top 10 altcoins I am sure that coin will be give at least 5 USD profit for the 5 USD investment you do on that.
There are people expecting the profit with in some weeks or month of time but in reality here in the forum people waiting more than 5 years and all to see this big profit from the bitcoin price change. Hope that miracle happen on any coin.

What you can to do is to be more careful next time, you can do research first so you can eliminate shitcoin investments. You know now how would you end up when you arent doing your part because the whole market is full of crap coins and projects.Researching could have saved your ass because you can easily identify worthy and worthless coins ou there.

I think from November 2017 till now, most in crypto will have seen their portfolio half. You can't have the global market cap go from over 800 billion to under 400 billion and not have this happen. Thing is you don't loose until you sell so hodl and make the gains back when the market recovers.

I have also one regret why I sell my bitcoin to early. But not made loss in the trading yet. It's better you hold it for long term. I think ripple will be again at good price in the near future. I can't say about the tron. Usually to avoid all the loss, I used to invest in short term and long term. For short term after price up , I never think about hold just sell it whatever profit I got.  Smiley

Don't get frustrated, cryptocurrency trading is a risky business, some times you win and some times you loss. I think at this moment hold your coins for long-term.

Really sorry for what has occurred to your investment , but I think you have learned ( learnt ) a lesson of not taking such risks anymore .
Now you can either cut your losses at -50℅ or hold , I would suggest the following :for coins which have potential to grow in the future, it's better to hold since you can recover what you've lost .

That's been the issue up today, many are asking if they are going to hold or sell now, as for my advice, hold it for a year, since selling it now will be your loss, and sell it when you have your capital doubled based on the market price. Keep hodling!!!

Every new investor in crypto can relate to it somehow, what i have learned is that once in a while everybody FOMOs, my investment in zcl has tanked more than 40% as i am writing this post (should have cut losses), so hodl and strategize better next time with whatever you have remaining because staying in the game and making small moves will compound into something bigger in the near future, than you had imagined. So Good luck and hodl.

My adive is to just stay safe and dont do impulsive trading due to the FOMO and hype behind and coin, you have to focus on the security of your funds and keep them in a stable market as the BTC or ETH too.

Don't get fooled to the easy money promising from devs, take a look on their whitepaper and choose the right ones

So I basically got fomoed. Towards the end of 2017 I saw how high bitcoin skyrocketed and decided to invest in ripple as a test. Less than one week it went up 3x. This made me more ballsy and I put in 11k total in various other alt coins like ripple, ethos, tron, and cardano. After the crash I lost about half of my value just like that. I am frustrated with the experience and wish I would have just put in 1k or something. I wish I could just not invested and went into what I was doing earlier which was just investing the boring and traditional way. Should I wait and hodl or pull out and do something else?

One advice: don't sell at a loss if you don't have to.
