I think from that mistake you learn more and make new trading strategy. To be expert trader need more times,.but if continue to learn from mistake and always patient so possible we can make consistent profit.

Yeah we all need time, not just in trading but in learning too, we can not do something without knowledge because if you don't study one thing and you just do it without learning you can easily make mistake.

That's how much money you lost when I think that you just need to hold money and you can turn it back on bitcoin as long as you just hold back from then on you have spent your money when you hold it and the price increases bitcoin.

If you can see the future then obviously you are gonna hold, there is a risk in holding and everyone has their own way in going the journey in trading.
However, OP just failed to succeed, that is why he is stopping to minimize his loses, I sell in the past as well and I could have made a lot of profit with today's price but that was part of the past, we make wrong decisions, we just have to correct it now.

If you quit now, your recent loss would have been in vain. I think you can rest from trading for awhile and study what happened during your last trade. Being more experienced next time around, you should be able to manage your losses well. Yes, winning is still not 100%, but managing loss is the key to staying longer in the game

Don't leave trading man, never ever... You can always recover your loss and you can earn some money in a bull market. Only analyze the market on your own and trade your coins with respect to this.

This isnt an easy solution for the problem, because at trading is where anybody can make easy money with some risk, sure a lot people had lost more then won, sound like gamble, trading is plenty of opportunities as well risks, there is no way to predict and with bitcoin ride a lot people are burning money at the moment, expecting a possible reajust and recover from altcoins once the forks ends.

You could do great decision to your investmet and protect them for the future. It's not easy to make good profit in day trading but holding is better. Well, 40 bitcoins are pretty enough to start a good business. Good luck.
What if that 40BTC would grow more if you hold it? well, there is always a choice but you need to have that balls in order to hold it longer.
The risk is higher once we continue to hold and it's not an easy feeling if you are not a real risk taker and you have enough confident with bitcoin.

So guys, after 2 years of trading i am going to stop. (unless i have full time to trade, which i currently don't)

I have calculated all my trades on the various platforms i have used in the last couple years.

Deposited: 47BTC (roughly)

Withdrew: 40BTC (roughly)

Overall i am happy with the results, i would pay 7 BTC anyday for what i have learned so far.

Now the question is: what the fuck do i do now with my money.
why dont you utilize your skills. you have learned so much and paid a very high amount I would suggest you dont loose hope

Real simple, start trading here. Seriously though, maybe :
1) Invest in a gambling site, because of the house edge you'll win in the long run
2) Have a look at this post, as I'm not going to repeat something already said https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.12165431
gamble is not the best solution. gambling, it will cause new problems which is great. and I think steps best is hold your coins.

We can see that this is a new market, fluctuating continuously and very difficult to guess, so in order to successfully trade we have to know the risk for profit because it brings great. I think you need to learn more and learn more skills, so that you can succeed in this field. You also need to constantly observe and monitor market information to make the most accurate decisions.

Thats fucking huge loss dude.  7 BTC is 56K? Its somebody year sallary.
Invest it back, set it up for lending and casino. Youll have your money back. in 6 month.

This post was made in 2015 ,the price of bitcoin was like 500$ . So 7 btc = 3500$,still a good amount but not as much as now .
I'm not sure what the op did with the money ever since but if he had kept the amount as it's around 400k . Which proves the power of Holding . He decided to stop trading because he lost 3.5k yet made around 350k$ holding . I would love to know if he held it or spent it .
If he stop trading and he hold the rest of his BTC then he would be profitable now, but since there is no update from him anymore,
I think he really cash out his money and quit trading. This would tell that trading is not for everyone, there are people who make money and there
are people who lose money.

Some people are very disappointed and they might have quited trading permanently. This is known by me for some of my friends because they were so sick of the hard trading conditions.

You should stay and continue.
Quit trading is a good choice for those who do not have enough bravery to continue trading after big loss. Because on this journey, not only 1-2 times you will get huge loss. You must to be ready have huge loss anytime, because the fluctuation of cryptocurrency is a double-edged sword. Huge profit, huge loss, this is the rule.

You should of invested it into alts with future potential.
actually i heard about trade from many people but to be honest i'm doing trading from a long time and believe me i always get profit from it and the good thing is it don't need extra time from me and i can buy sell and exchange things easily i think it just need a good knowledge to do a good and healthy trade if you don't understand it properly so there is no doubt you will lose here and finally you will quit trade so i think trade is one of the best sources of income then any other thing.

You are lucky of having that big amount of money. If you want to make it double, you should not stop trading. Not just only with bitcoin or ethereum, try also other altcoins because some altcoins can do more than the bitcoin and ethereum. Some altcoins has the potential and can make your money double or even more than that.

It's hard to make money in bitcoin transactions, and it's not easy to trade. It takes a lot of emotional resilience, even if you work full-time.

You should invest it in an exchange with future potential.

If you have that much amount of money then invest your money in some good projects for long term since you stopped trading and don't want to start it. Just diversify it into some good projects and earn profit.
That is why patience is the key for success, and thread starter is lacking this cause if patiently hold he is currently has a huge profit even with out trading  or checking market everyday
