I always work with long-term investments, because I place my bets on reliable, proven altcoins. I completely agree that now it makes no sense to sell their coins, given the large drop in prices. Now it's better to keep your coins for the future. Moreover, now there are prerequisites for a gradual recovery of the market from the middle of next year.

but we cannot blame people who sell at low prices now or people who keep their coins.
both have their own principles and are sure of that.
what's wrong with selling cheap if it's profitable for them and what's wrong with holding high prices.
in 2021 as we know there will be a high price increase in bitcoin and other altcoins.

Not everyone has the capacity to hold for long, some persons here are in for a short run and invested with money the will be requiring in a short run, don't blame anyone if he decides to sell at a loss, besides taking loss is normal in trades. It is not every trade that ends in profit. Whoever feels he cannot hold anymore should better get off. Meanwhile this is emotions in play which is very dangerous in this business

You are either an idiot or a wise investor if you are going to do this, as an investors we should know when to sell and when to keep it, if you really decide that you are going to hold coin even if it becomes worthless, then it's your decision, I think you have invested what you can afford to lose so what ever happen is none of anybody's business.

Well, its nice coins cardano that you had , really have future because i also watched it. But, with regards to those shit coins I think its better to forget it and look for another coin which is have a good feature and has a big volume because this is you will view how hype this coin is.

I think cardano is good to hold for long term rather than others coin with low daily transaction volume. Cardano traded in reputable exchanges and many people think its good investment for long term. But for others altcoin with low volume, i am prefer convert it to legit altcoin like ethereum or NEO or ADA, its much more relaxing holding coin with good product

I agree with the author. Since 2018, I have not sold any of my viola, because the price was very low. But now I understand that the price fell even lower and for me it is a very strong shock. But I believe that I will wait for my finest hour and bullrun will happen. The amount that is on my wallet is not critical and I'm ready to lose it - it's a simple interest)

I would not sell Cardano as well with loss as it is a very promising coin with excellent development team.
Sometimes we have to take hard decisions and take the loss and move on and not let that some of our
coins take us down with our investment.

Why invest in those coins you, which really do not have great prospects in the future? It has long been the opinion of new analysts that more than half of all altcoins do not have the final product and therefore after a certain time will lose their relevance.

Life is short, practice empathy in your life

Having a decent bet on the altcoins can start the getting rich process fast for big investors. Instead of selling for the loss I prefer to hold them till the news about new exchanges or for other good news for the project. Also, the bull market can move the prices and these small altcoins will be a valuable in the future.

If you have a small amount of altcoins that it is not relevant to you it won't be as emotionally painful as when you hodl let's say tens of thousands of dollars of an altcoin. That could change your perception because those are life changing amounts of money for some people. If you really believe in what a coin promises ( the technology and business model it has) then go for it and hodl for long term. I'm guilty of doing that as well :

Since many altcoins I'm holding comes from airdrops and bounties sometimes I just have to let go whenever I need cash for my own use but still I'm still holding to most of them, this is why I carefully choose bounties and airdrops to join and promote to avoid not getting paid in the end

so what is the new update OP? are you still holding cardano lol. selling your altcoins for loss is actually fine but it is depend on the condition too. if the market condition is not good and bearish then it's better to sell it even with loss, it's better than keep holding with the value that keep dropping.

I have the same opinion back when I started trading but why wouldn't we take advantage of the market to gain more token or coin that we have?
I have a friend who did a buy and sell on his bounty reward when he receive it and I couldn't believe it but from 10k token he manage to make it up to 30-40k if I am correct.
And when I saw it I change my opinion and started trading.

I understand your sentiment. I lost most of my portfolio in 2018 because I held all the way down. I think what we need to do is learn better timing in Crypto, when to buy and when to sell and when to hold for the longer term. I found many good projects in Crypto over the years but I either sold too early, like NXT, XEM and Bitcoin Plus or held for too long like COSS, DENT, PUNDI X etc. So NOW am trying to do something different this year so that when the next bull run comes I don't stuff up as I did in January of last year. I hope 2019 will be much better for all of us who stay the course and don't give up.
