That's why I said several times in this thread that this is Afghanistan's best World Cup they have ever played. They were amazing in this World Cup. Winning against teams like England, Pakistan and Sri Lanka is a sign that they are becoming more mature these days. I guess one of their players said they should have win the match against Bangladesh too. They could have been in the equation playing the semi finals today. But they should not be upset of how they ended this World Cup journey. They should be proud of theirself.

Still plenty of space for improvement in the field and how to handle pressure when things are not going their way but they are ticking lots of boxes, especially the batting department is maturing and it's a good sign.

Thanks for the support! If you could understand what is happening? Amul one of the big sponser startted to sponsor Afghanistan. If you remember, they were the last in the ranking and Amul still consider them a team to recognise. They did and they as a sponser would be happy.

In 2019 they were in the bottom and now they question those who qualified for.the semifinals.

The end of a respectable exit from the World Cup for Bangladesh. After 7 games they batted really well and in the end they again lost. They made themselves viral with Angelo Mathews time out and thanks to them we realised that such law does existed. The problem with Bangladesh is the same that is happening with Srilanka. All corrupt politicians are handling the board. After Srilanka, I feel the ICC should also ban Bangladesh board.

The second match of today is an interesting one. Pakistan known as the best team with the best bowlers lack those bowlers that they had earlier. They produced some of the best bowlers like Imran Khan, Wasim Akram, Saqlain and those before I understood cricket. Look at where they are now. They have bowlers who are over hyped. They have batters who are over hyped. They do not care about fitness test and most of them are in the team because they are relative of someone known.

I am not sure what India will do in the knock out. If history repeats itself then they would be out of the competition. If not then they will be in the finals. But, what happened to these countries in the Indian subcontinent like Srilanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh. They were once the best but they are know the worst.

The most promising team in this format in the future looks Afghanistan.

England scored a big total 337 runs in loss of 9 wickets in 50 overs. England bastmen batting performance is outstanding especially Ben Stokes who scored 84 runs in 76 balls just miss his well deserved century by 16 runs short. Jony bristow batting well scored 59 runs in 61 balls, Joe Root also batting amazingly score fifty 60 runs in 71 balls and reached the England total to 330 plus runs. Pakistan poor bowling performance only Shaheen Afridi and Haris picked wickets and put pressure but other bowlers leak runs. Haris Rouf amazing bowling picked 3 important wicktes by giving 64 runs in 10 overs.

Even with a good target in the last match against Australia, Bangladesh is defeated in the end. Australia need just five more runs to win. Bangladesh bowlers managed to pick up only two wickets against Australia. Bangladesh could not bowl well against Australia in this match due to which the Australian batsmen are batting in a very fluent manner from the beginning. Australia may win against Bangladesh by the time I finish the post but Bangladesh has closed this match against Australia so Bangladesh will be much ahead of Sri Lanka in terms of net run rate. If India can defeat Netherlands in yesterday's match, then Bangladesh will be the champion trophy. India have not lost a single match in this World Cup tournament so we can consider Bangladesh in Champions Trophy final if there is no chance of them losing against Netherlands.

Oh! I was not aware of his absence as I am not watching that match. I was of the impression that it would be a one sided affair as Bangladesh is one weaker side. It is still a competitive target and without Maxwell Australia should be able to chase it, knowing Bangladesh bowling and sloppy fielding.

Meanwhile the English batters are doing pretty well against Pakistan bowling. They have lost two wicket and are nearing 200 runs. With this scoring rate they should get to 300 runs. Ben Stokes is again batting aggressively and should be able to get another century.
