I think Bangladesh team will not need to take any more pressure with Champions Trophy game, because I think New Zealand team will win very easily today. After 12.2 over New Zealand team scored 86 run and they lose their first wicket. New Zealand might not have taken this wicket if Conway had dealt with the ball more slowly trying not to hit a boundary. However, I think there is no problem if the New Zealand team plays a bit slower. Because the target is not too big and the required run rate is within reach. I feel that New Zealand will lose two more wickets before touching the target.

Although New Zealand have lost their last four matches, they are far ahead in the points table as they have played well in the early stages. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka's previous performance was very poor. Unfortunately, the New Zealand team lost their chance to the semi-finals today. If the New Zealand team could have won by a margin of more wickets without losing so many wickets, then the chances of playing the semi-final would have been the highest. But unfortunately against Sri Lanka they took more time, which is the reason most likely to fail. If Pakistan can win the next match against England by a huge margin, New Zealand will definitely be eliminated from the World Cup. When New Zealand won the toss and decided to field, at first I thought that maybe it was because of the bad weather that the New Zealand captain took this decision. That is because New Zealand scored 401 runs against Pakistan but Pakistan won the match due to rain. This may be the main reason why the New Zealand captain decided to field to win the toss today. I was listening to the commentators after the post-match ceremony. They were saying that in case Pakistan bats first and make 300, then they need to bowl out England for around 50. On the other hand, if England bats first then they need to bowl out England for 50 runs and then chase down the target in 2.5 overs. So we are almost assured of a semi-final match between India and New Zealand. The other semi-final match is between South Africa and Australia. The knockout phase for sure is going to be very interesting.

I think credit goes to Maheesh Theekshana and Dilshan Madushanka for their brilliant 10th wicket partnership which turned out to be the highest as well for Sri Lanka in ODI world cup. Theekshana and Dilshan Madushanka both batted for 87 balls and scored 43 runs and Reached Sri Lanka total to 171/10. Now Pakistan to Beat England by huge Margin for qulaify at semis New Zealand Chase 172 Score Target in 25th Overs.

I never expected the last pair to bat so well, they did what the Srilankan team management never expected from them. Theekshana was amazing as he still got the bowlers frustrated while he added singles and odd boundaries to the target. They batted more than expected, like 15 or 20 overs extra to make the Srilankan team achieve an honorable target. Which I think is still not that good!

I was listening to what Sunil Gavaskar said and it was like a target of 175 or more is okay for them to defend. Currently, the pitch looks so easy for the New Zealand batter to go ahead and achieve the target. This is not something I imagined, it is a pitch meant for the spinners sadly they are not able to generate the result they are searching for. I am referring to the Srilankan spinners.

I felt this game might conclude with each team getting points as rain would interfere again. I do not think it would happen as the night clouds have disappeared and if it does happen I think the New Zealand team would win this game based on run rate. If that doesn't happen and the game gets interrupted, Pakistan will be out of the scenario because of the number of wickets lost by New Zealand within the first power play.

Collapse was cute but look at the bright side they successfully avoided the 3rd under 100 scorelines in 2023, so that's some improvement and doing so their tail wagged at the right time and managed to irritate the opposition bowlers and also added extra runs on the board, now bowlers will have something to fight.

If they get lucky under the lights then maybe we'll have a tight finish otherwise it should be an easy chase for the kiwis. Having said that we've seen some funny cricket in this edition so you never know.

A very disappointing performance by the Sri Lankan batters. A poor short selection and some good length bowling did the trick for New Zealand. Sri Lanka is currently 8 wickets down on 114 runs after 25 overs. There are no chances of rain as of now. 150 from here looks like an impossible task.
I am feeling sad for Pakistan fans. They were hoping that somehow Sri Lanka would dominate New Zealand and win the match. Their only option -at the moment- is to pray for continuous rain until the call-off time. LOL Cheesy

None of the batsmen in Sri Lanka's first sari could play very well. sri lanka were 70 runs in 7 overs and run rate was close to nine decimals.kusal perera is batting brilliantly as he seems to be playing t20 style. If Kusal Perera could have batted for a while, maybe Sri Lanka's team's run would have increased a little. Sri Lanka team's current state of play looks like they will be all out within 170 runs. If New Zealand can bowl out Sri Lanka within 170 runs, then it will be very easy for New Zealand to win this match today.
