But what is the guarantee that Pakistan would have scored another 202 runs in the next 24.3 overs? That is close to 9 runs per over. DLS system in this case assumes that all the Pakistan batsmen will bat like Fakhar Zaman and will score at strike rate of 150-160. I don't think that it is the case and the Kiwis were just one wicket away from the win.
That's why T-20 is considered hit and miss and skill is not the main factor, even less equipped teams can get away from trouble waters with just one short burst.
